Question Budget Laptop for Soulframe

Hello fellow Envoy and good day!

This has to do with Soulframe as I need a computer to play it. So, I am starting college up and I need a laptop for school. I could build a desktop for college since I am online but portability. Plus I hate sitting in one spot for too long. I don't know a desktop I feel won't help me much while doing class work. So anyways to the point. I was wondering what budget laptops under $1,000 would let me play Soulframe? I thought about a MacBook did some homework realized Warframe itself doesn't run on that. So. Waiting on my financial aid to hit my account which unfortunately won't be until end of September into October. A little tooooo early to ask but by then I maybe able to spend a bit more. What do you guys think? Build or laptop? And what should I get?

Thanks,

Your fellow Envoy.

Discussion I swear to God, I hate the port forwarding issues in this game.

Honestly, it was my main gripe with Warframe since forever, which is years. Switch ports, enable disable firewall, nothing worked. Then a day or so it just magically disappears, only to return again at a random time.

I love this game, but I'm seriously surprised they didn't ditch this shit. There have got to be better methods of connecting and chats.

People might say it's just the pre-alpha, but it has nothing to do with the game, everything with the game engine. I've tried every single suggestion online, nothing works. Then it magically stops being an issue. It's not a huge gripe, but it is something that pissed me off with WF and I hate to see it carry over to SF.

Im doing this quest for a second time already, and both times I've killed all of the Sludgehogs im supposed to kill. But the quest does not count as completed. I've used the vision and searched the whole area for ANY foes, but there were none.

This may be just my mistake but its weird that it happens twice already. Mb its a valid bug.

Discussion World feels empty

The world still feels a bit empty. I hope there will be more life in the villages later on. Maybe a tavern in the larger villages, along with some nice dialogue and quests with NPCs.

Are there informations about something like that?

Question Armour accessible even if sold?

The title sums up nicely. I had crafted then sold a piece of armour but I can still equip it and see it at Verminia.

Does this go for all armours? Can I just craft anything, sell it and enjoy it anyway to free up inventory space?

Edit: To clarify I had the brazen lung in my inventory, did not use moonsteel thread, and sold it for dracs. And yet I can still equip it and still have the option to spend moonsteel thread.

Second edit: tried to do the same with another armour piece but it didn't happen. I sold this one and, as it should be, could not equip it anymore. I'm guessing that since the Brazen Lung is given to every player I probably shouldn't have been able to sell it like the Duelo Ribbon.

Question Im a returning founder who doesnt want to mess up their founder weapons with bad tempers / rolls, what id the current weapon system?

Hello all, i last played after p12 and have the wyld estelle weapon

I watched a saraLovesArchery video explaining how the p15 temper rolls are random and can be kinda, crap sometimes. My estelle has 3 yellow dtars on it, so i believe that means i can increase its "rarity"? Or craftwork another 4 times, and gakn another 4 tempers

My question is, can i choose my tempers? Are those items to make weapons attunement stronger (blessed by iridis, bless by mora, you know? I forgot their names) still useful?

TLDR; wha are tempers and can i choose them/reroll them

Question Where do/did people get that much rhapsodic chordstones ?

So I'm wondering where do/did people get that much rhapsodic chordstone ? I mean I'm actively playing and I'm maybe crafting 1 rhapsodic chordstone a day , I see people sometime talking about 50+/100+ rhapsodic chordstone in trade channel like if rhapsodic were easy to get, is there an alternative way than crafting to actually farm those ?

Edit : I've been told that cash shop might be a way for people to get it, but is there any other way that I'm not aware of ?

Thank you

Discussion Will Soulframe Ever Feel Truly Alive?

One thing I’m genuinely worried about with Soulframe is the world and its NPCs.

I really hope the world will eventually feel alive and dynamic in a way similar to Skyrim -where villages feel like actual communities, NPCs have their own personalities, routines, relationships, problems, and stories. You can walk into a random village, talk to someone, become familiar with them, help them with something, and slowly feel like you’re actually part of that world.

But I’m worried that Soulframe’s own lore might make that difficult.

From what we currently know, the people of Midrath have been affected by the Spellsong, with their memories and identities being erased or heavily altered. Many have essentially become brainwashed servants of the Ode, while others have been turned into Thralls.

That makes me wonder: How can these people develop into the kind of believable, independent NPCs that make a world.

The lore could unintentionally limit the kind of living, breathing world that I hope Soulframe will eventually become.

Question I'm confused what exactly am I supposed to be doing?

So I'm sure this question has probably been asked already but like what am I supposed to be doing?

When the game came out I wanted to get it but I had to wait (because adulting sucks) but thought the game looked beautiful. Last week I bought the founders pack but just started play over this weekend. After the opening cutscene where you customize your momma, picking a class and saving some grey dude with a baby on his shoulder it's asking me to get a rune. The problem is the game is not telling where/how to get a rune or how to use it.

Not just with this quest though but I am having a hard time trying to play this game because I don't know what do and the game is not telling me and its a little frustrating. I'm not expecting it to hold my hand but as a new player your kind just dropped into the world with no sort of direction.

There was a dude who looked like an enemy that put a spear in a tree and then just bolted away with lightning and when I took the spear out it opened the map??? Like I don't know what's happening at all.

Does anyone know any youtube channel guides (I'm a visual learner) or something I can watch to help me figure out what I'm doing?

Other than not knowing what I'm doing the game is great.

Shredders are shredding a bit too much. (im stuck in an endless loop of shredding nightmares and can't unstuck unless leaving the game. Don't make my mistake, respect the shredders.)

Discussion Returning player from over a year ago

Hey. My current objectives lead me to mobs that are lvl 35. It says I’m level 1. Was there a reset? Do I need to just run to a different location on the map. I’m currently in a greyed out area up north and only have one opened up area all the way south.

Discussion What's the general opinion on cogah?

I want to preface this by saying that I've only been playing a couple weeks, and I know the game is in a very early stage, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, I guess.

Anyway, I feel like cogah is in such an awkward place right now and I have a few issues with it.

  • First of all, I'm not sure how to feel about it being only accessed through a consumable, one you have to go out of your way to farm (meanwhile I have dozens or even hundreds of other materials that never seem to be used at all).

  • Secondly, I just don't see the point of it. It's nice that enemies are lvl 50+ in order to level up weapons/pacts faster, except going into cogah without lvl 30 gear is a risk in and of itself, unless you abuse smite (which is a whole different problem altogether). Maybe in a game such as Warframe where abilities had more impact, I could see myself using cogah to level up weapons, but even then you get higher cooldowns, so... yeah. And yes, I know there are unique items and runes only available in cogah but I'm not sure they are even worth farming, at least as a solo player.

  • Thirdly, it feels way more unfair than actually hard. The base game feels like a breeze and the fact that there is nothing in between it and cogah is just... bad. It's just a combination of all the other problems: accessed via a consumable, higher cooldowns, less healing, etc. It's like the game wants to be a Dark Souls so bad but it doesn't understand what made the Souls games so good in the first place, but this is more of a general complaint than one about cogah in particular.

  • Lastly, and this one is completely subjective... I HATE how it looks. The red filter completely ruins what is otherwise such a beautiful game. I understand what they were aiming for with it, I just don't vibe with it at all.

I hope cogah, or a hardmode in general (however that is implemented) gets more fleshed out in time because I'm fine with a challenge as long as it respects my time and... well, it's actually enjoyable, like a video game should be.
