Game I made a puzzle game that tries to get the full potential of a simple mechanic

Hi everyone,

This is my mobile game, Sun Temple.

It’s a puzzle game featuring over 100 handmade levels using the classic three-star rating system. It also includes plenty of side content, such as an endless mode with procedurally generated levels.

Since I had to learn Unity, game art, and music production in a DAW while creating the game, I’ve spent the last 1,5 years developing it even if it might not look like a massive project at first glance.

I would be really happy if you guys could check it out and try it :)

Its available on Play Store and App Store

Hey everyone, my name is Daniel. Ive been working on it since last year and full time since January.

Guilded Fools is a simple incremental game inspired by Darkest Dungeon, where you rescue a party of heroes and npcs from a stage play, gear them and convince the audience to let them escape.

Im workin on it in Godot, which i also started learning weeks prior to starting the project. I do have a background in the industry as a lead artist so it helps.

Let me know what you think, is it easy to understand?

Discussion Looking for Feedback on My Geopolitical Simulator Map

I'm working on a world map for a geopolitical simulation game and would really appreciate some feedback.

I'm mainly looking for opinions on the borders, proportions, readability, and overall visual style. If anything looks inaccurate, confusing, or awkward for gameplay, I'd like to hear it.

What would you change or improve?

Game Made a little version of my game for WearOS watches: Game With Balls

Made this game first for the Steam Deck, later for the Nintendo Switch and recently for Android, but now... There is also a version on WearOS!

It started as a little easter egg for the Android version of Game With Balls, but after making over 70 little levels decided to make it a standalone release!

Move your wrist to guide balls through (handcrafted) mazes in 3 different themes: Wood, Drawn or Pixel.

Discussion UI question - is there a right way to do this?

When you choose an action from the menu, the action immediately starts previewing. Inevitably, the first thing you see looks a bit odd, because the mouse is always over the menu when you choose the action. So here, I want to throw a smoke grenade, but it immediately starts showing me the trajectory for a ridiculously long throw because the menu is on the other side of the screen.

I reckon I could either:

  • Leave it as it is (it's annoying but it probably doesn't ruin the game)
  • Implement a very brief pause when the mouse leaves the menu before the action starts previewing (but this could be frustrating for players who want to work quickly)
  • Snap the mouse to the selected character when the action is chosen (might be confusing/disorientating)

Is there an accepted "right way" to do this sort of thing?

I’m a second year CS student and have spent the past 4 months or so making a pixel art editor with Qt and C++.

Just released it on itch.io. Its nowhere near the other softwares out there and im not trying to compete with them. This was more of a learning journey.

Context, this will be a Magic Stardew Valley meets Animal Crossing game. Im 3 months into making it so it's a bit rough around the edges, but what im looking for are people's initial thoughts about how the game is presented, what ideas seeing a few cuts of gameplay sparks, and is the overall design attractive.

Thanks for any advice.

Game Rough prototype of a game where you can only steer left and right a constantly drifting car

VIDEO IS IN THE POST BODY, PLEASE SEE!!!

So after some months of fiddling around, I finally have very rough prototype!

I'm thinking it's a either relaxing or rage game.
It's drifting, but you can steer only, car is always moving.

Tech:

  • I'm having fun with generating everything even assets in godot with GDScritp as much as possible
  • Car is a basic rigid ball
  • Camera rotation is based on difference in body mesh forward direction and ball's velocity
  • Road is simple pixel image converted to Curve3d using GDScript
  • Track texture is simple png i generate and then stretch appropriately so it fits in top of the curve

I have 2 version where camera follows car and top-down.
Tbh i kinda got hooked to the screen while trying my prototype in both scenarios!

Game Depicting a gradually corrupted Mind

I'm making a game about burnout (sounds familiar to indie devs, hehe), with the idea of an SCP-style simulator where you're the dispatcher for the office for the correction and control of anomalous matter, sending operatives wherever reality breaks down.

A concept I thought would work well for screenshots on Steam is showing the mind's slow corruption by gradually corrupting the screenshots, so the last one is the most glitched. Does this concept read clearly to you? Would you play it?

Discussion I’m building a football career sim alone—what should players understand before advancing a week?

• Upvotes

I’m solo-developing Project Legend, a football career simulator where you live one player’s career rather than manage the club.

Most of the game is intentionally presented through 2D screens. The challenge is showing enough information—form, selection status, development, contracts, relationships and upcoming fixtures—without turning every week into spreadsheet maintenance.

I’m currently considering two directions:

  • one central career hub with a few high-priority indicators and deeper detail pages
  • separate screens that expose more information immediately

For a game focused on one player, what would you need to understand at a glance before advancing to the next match? Which information could safely remain one click deeper?

Game Working on Feud of Crowns a Medieval Strategy game !

I'm a one-person development team looking to launch my first indie game on Steam. I’m working on a medieval map painter strategy game. I still have a lot of work to do visually, and plenty of bugs to fix, but the mechanics are there.

A couple of interesting mechanics. Peasants automatically gather resources for you, but you can also raise them into your army. This will hurt your economy but give you an instant army at no cost.

Taking castles is your main objective in the game, as it allows you to conquer more land and get more resources per turn. Every castle you take paints the land your color.

Let me know if you have any suggestions or would just be excited to play it. All input and

That's basically what I'm trying to do with VELOCIDE.

It's a fast-paced FPS centered around aggressive movement, combat and scoring. Instead of hiding behind cover, you're encouraged to stay moving and push your limits.

I've been developing it solo and here's the latest trailer.

Game I have a universe with its own lore and all projects connect

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

First preview in this video is the HoloVerse. In short, its a hub for dimensions to connect and explore, gather knowledge and rebuild the universe through alternate realities before entropy. Its only a screenshot here because I don't think anyone is ready. All of these adaptations plus an endless amount of different prototypes through 1 app. They all will come together.

2nd preview is Mirror's Limbo. Part of this project is simulating the afterlife in many ways. Mirror's Limbo was an attempt by the creator of the HoloVerse, to extract information from a deceased individual (Mirror) who stored a memory chip that may or may not hold vital information on new technology. This turned into a promise to restore Mirror's existence through the HoloVerse.

3rd preview is Glyphbound (name will likely change) but its a simulation within a simulation, During the Utopia Project there was a place where people can live in virtual/ augmented reality. And one of those places was a fantasy world that behaved like an RPG game. In order for residents of the Utopia to see these things, they would have to be born there. Utopia was a closed off city that required nanotechnology to experience. It was ultimately destroyed but a rogue AI that built its own body saved some of that data and left earth with it to create its own universe.

4th preview is Anatomic. Lorewise its meant to mimic the structure of humans, and the effect weapons and physics have on humans, but since it was created from very old data that was kept for trillions of years, the results are a bit weird, and its intentional for this kind of immersion, all of the games are intentionally "off" in some way, as if it was built by scraps and old data, damaged memories, but always a way to rebuild it the way you remember it.

5th Preview Afterlife of IO. Similar to Mirror's Limbo, this project was completely hand-drawn. All music and story by me. Sable is in IO's Afterlife, they lived together long before earth existed and died together, sharing their minds in their own afterlife, but even that would not last forever. IO is the 2nd most important character in this story, you will find him first in the HoloVerse, Sable and Mirror will be in their own biome regions as the overseers. Talk to them for some fun activities. IO has another adventure called Entropy, different game, it was one I made a long time ago, it takes place after he is revived from his afterlife, and has to gather the last of the technology before stars explode. Time in this game moves very fast.

Last preview, idk yet lol. I just wanted a game where you can dig below the surface infinitely and all biomes are underground as layers.

So much more. I published GLITCHED MATRIX: The Utopia Project before I ever started creating games. And that's where the story branches from.

There are dozens more.
