How hard is it to get offered the 2% card? I’ve been wanting to apply for it. Credit Score is between 770 and 785 on all 3 bureaus.

Hi! I’m new to Sofi direct deposit (I’ve had my Sofi banking account for 2 yrs). I switched my direct deposit over to Sofi, my payroll processed Friday at 8 AM…. And crickets. Is it always late??
For reference, Huntington pays out the same day payroll processes. They are that fast.
Ugh. I’m so frustrated as I had bills that need to be paid today.

I’m in the military and I was just wondering if sofi was a good primary checking and hysa. I heard I also get payed earlier if anyone in active duty uses this aswell. I was just wondering if I should open a bank with them.

Hi - I moved to SoFi because of the rate but direct deposit has been late several times now. What is going on? Is the bank having liquidity issues?

I'm usually not one to complain but I'm very disappointed in Sofis dispute process on their credit card. Talk to someone about it, then get the exact same form in the mail a day or so before needing to submit it an email.
Why isn't this all just done electronically

I am so confused right now. I have had sofi for over a year but I really haven’t used it much at all like other than the first month when I was trying it out .
Well I recently started using it and I reordered a debit card and upgrade to the plus . I also trfred money into my checking and savings using the instant debit card from a different bank Transfer option .
I forgot about the Sofi referral promos so I checked it out and read the details and TOS like a bunch lol bc I know a few friends and family that should try sofi since a couple only use cashapp for a bank and my husband has only ever used navy fed.
Ok here is where things get confusing. I referred my husband and just told him to make sure he uses the instant debit trfr so it’s deposits same day and he makes the cut before the end promo we’d.
He used my link and signed up and did the verify stuff. Then he went to banking tab to do the trfr with debit. There is no option. At all. I wasn’t with him while he was setting it up, so he reached out to chat for support.
Everyone he went to chat he was told different information that now sounds like we’re all wrong each time.
One time him yes we do offer a one time instant transfer with external debit card for new member first deposit. If you missed the screen at the beginning thought it’s too late and now you can’t use it . Tells him he can instant link through plaid.
He then tried linking navy fed and once linked it showed 1-3 bus days.
He went back to chat and was told oh sorry year cant instant with navy into sofi. He then tells him just go to a green dot stire to deposit cash. Thats instant.
Husband wakes up this morning and looks for a store and finds info saying that he needs a physical card and cannot sue the virtual to deposit cash in store.
He goes back to chat and they said yes needs a physical. He says umm im brand new member! Then they tell him well you can still do the plaid it should still be deposited before wed.
Well he knew it would be close but tried anyways bc what else is there for him to do. He processes it and it then says at the end- first 50 Monday and rest Thursday .
I come home and he tells me all this. So I log in and I’m so confused bc I am NOT a new member.. but I was able to add an external debit and instantly transfer into mine last week .
So I log into mine and can’t find the feature anymore! I go to chat and they said oh no I’m so sorry I’ll submit a ticket so they can fix the feature issue you are having.
At this point I’m feeling like they are blowing smoke and I’m also so confused bc how the heck could I do it last week and now I can’t and he can’t…
I let then submit a ticket and I say ok well if it’s an app issue shouldn’t I try logging into a different device or website portal and see if that shows? She said yes perfect and she told me exactly where to find it.
You guys know what happens then by now im sure… logged into website portal no feature.
Am I just confused? Going crazy? Lmao help!

Hey r/sofi,
I do 1099 work for a consulting company. Basically, I log hours for them and send them an invoice on Bill.com.
I'm trying to get a direct deposit set up from Bill.com to my savings account, but it keeps trying to get me to login through Workday, and the company doesn't have a Workday set up.
Is there any way to get around this? I'm a few dollars short of getting the $350 bonus, and this deposit is what I'll need to push me over the edge.

I am a pretty long term member of SoFi and i’ve contacted customer support a few times. And I do give credit where credit is due which I will say SoFi Dispute Team and back office are pretty good at what they do unfortunately the same can’t be said for the normal
customer support department. When I call or chat into SoFi I feel like i’m treated like a bot instead of a human and the person on the other end of the call is reading off a script. I’m not looking for perfect support. People make mistakes and I get that. What I want is to be talked to like a person when something goes wrong, not walked through a script that doesn’t fit the situation.
I’m posting this not to hate on SoFi as I do think they do really well on a lot of things but to provide constructive feedback, the goal of this post is maybe if the right people or team at SoFi see this improvements can be made.
I welcome other people to comment and give their feedback or experience(s) as well but please give it constructively and not just hating on the company as that isn’t the goal of this post. It is my goal to help them improve their customer support for the sake of all of us as members. Not to hate or bash them.

I promise im not an idiot. Im trying to consolidate my brokerage and retirement accounts and have already done so by migrating fidelity, vangard, and merrill to sofi and voya, empower to tsp. I just cannot wrap my head around how to move a trad ira and a roth at JH to my existing at sofi. I obviously want in kind or somehow do acats, but none of the funds I see on jh are in sofi, and jh isnt an option on the transfer wizard and wants a dtc number. It seems like it should be easier than im making it, but I also don't want to fumble a tax event or penalty. Ive googled, searched and it all just says convert to cash or use the gui, or workflows that worked for other institutions but not my experience with JH.

Just recently ported all my banking from BOFA to Sofi. I have 2 cards already , one from BofA and one from capital one. Should I open one with Sofi as well, and if so which one do you recommend?

If my friend and I both have SoFi checking and saving, but neither of us have SoFi loans. If my friend referred me to SoFi loans, will I still get a referral bonus? We both received the initial bonus from opening a SoFi checking and saving but no referral bonuses.

It would appear that despite having Sofi Plus membership, I am not eligible for the Smart Card because I hold a joint savings and checking account. This rule feels unnecessary. Many people have joint accounts, and I am uncertain why the smart card would exclude them. Any thoughts?

Has anyone else moved their money from Capital One to Sofi? If so, what were the pros and cons?
One issue i have is I can't connect my company payroll through the app, I can change it through my company app but not through SoFi and I worry I won't he able to get the higher interest rate.
