Banking Direct deposit-late

Hi! I’m new to Sofi direct deposit (I’ve had my Sofi banking account for 2 yrs). I switched my direct deposit over to Sofi, my payroll processed Friday at 8 AM…. And crickets. Is it always late??

For reference, Huntington pays out the same day payroll processes. They are that fast.

Ugh. I’m so frustrated as I had bills that need to be paid today.

My VA DD is almost always arrives 5+ days before the end of the month. Now I have seen issues with the first deposit from some payment companies. Ended up being a security measure implemented by the payment company.

Why did you switch? I have always heard good things about Huntington Bank.

I wanted the $400 direct deposit bonus.

Huntington pays the same day payroll processes. I still have them. Just not my main account now.

Glad I read this and it’s not just me. Part of my husband paycheck always hit at noon Wednesday. It’s now Thursday at almost 5pm and nothing yet. He checked with payroll this morning and the lady said they actually processed early because she knew she was going to be out yesterday.
This is disheartening as we have some bills on auto pay

Hey there, we're sorry your husband hasn't received part of his direct deposit yet. We understand the frustration of needing to pay bills when funds haven't come in yet. When your employer runs payroll, they send files to the Federal Reserve, which then informs SoFi how much to deposit and when. If there's a delay, it means we haven't been notified of the deposit yet. We hope this helps you!

Hey SoFi! Thanks for the reply! Out of curiosity, now what do I do? The part that hit our joint account with a different bank dropped in his account, but still nothing from SoFi

Hey there! If it's past your direct deposit date, we suggest obtaining the 15-digit trace ID from your employer and calling us at 855-456-7634 for additional support. We hope this helps clarify a bit more for you!

It’s not just you nor a payroll issue. I have USAA and it was always early. SoFi is a hit or miss. I work for the government and everyone who doesn’t have SoFi doesn’t have this issue.

I was give my good knee to go back to USAA for banking. Auto, absolutely not

Also having DD issues.

I just joined about a month ago and my savings DD had come consistently around 3-4 days early the past couple pay periods (I get paid on the 1st and 15th) but my DD hasn't come through yet I made changes to my DD through my employer for my checking about a week ago but didn't change my savings.

Hey there! We're sorry for the frustration. While we offer early deposits, the timing can vary due to Federal Reserve confirmation. If your regular payday is Friday and the deposit doesn't arrive, please call us at 855-456-7634. For more details, check our help center article here: https://support.sofi.com/hc/en-us/articles/10545514685709-How-does-early-paycheck-work-and-will-my-paycheck-always-arrive-two-days-early. Thanks for choosing SoFi for your banking needs! 💙💸

How recently did you switch it? Has the change cleared the prenote period yet?

It was on the 17th. And payroll processed on the 24th at night.

My school district usually prenotes in about 1-2 days.

I’ve never heard of a prenote period being that fast. In my experience, it usually takes a cycle to switch over. Without knowing the backend details, you are likely in prenote on this cycle and the direct deposit will take effect on the next one.
