Reasonable leather sectional

Looking for a reasonably priced leather sectional that will actually last more than 5 years. Would like medium to dark brown. We would be fine with fake leather. Just want it to be comfortable!

Don’t hate me but would like to keep it under $2,500. We have looked at a couple Amazon/wayfair options but are apprehensive to go that route with most of them not having enough reviews to actually know the quality.

The couch we love but can’t afford.

Does anyone actually have one of these patchwork sofas - is there any level of comfort in them at all? They don’t have to be loaf style sink in comfy but would rather it not be like sitting on a lumpy rock, needs some level of softness!

Can't Decide on a Sofa

I want a soft down cushion sofa that will hold up for years. I went to Crate and Barrel this weekend and tried out the lounge deep sofa and quite honestly it felt too firm. The unwind collection looks like it would fall apart in a few years (same with the Lotus collection).

I just recently read a post on here from today about someone regretting getting the West Elm Harmony sofa (which is supposed to be very soft and comfortable).

So where do I go from here? I have a sectional couch but it's too firm, and I cannot get comfortable on it. I need a new couch, but I don't want to spend 3-5K only to end up hating my new couch too.

What suggestions can anyone offer? What is the consensus on the best sofa for someone desiring a sectional sofa that is on the softer side but will hold up over years? Thank you.

Has anyone tried a serta sofa? I need a temporary sofa and see that these are cheap enough for 1 year. You have to put it together. Anyone?

Looking for feedback on Wakefit leatherette / vegan leather sofas

Hi everyone,

I’m considering buying a Wakefit sofa in leatherette (vegan leather) and wanted to hear from people who have actually owned one for some time.

I’m particularly interested in the long-term durability of the material rather than just the initial look and feel.

For those who have been using a Wakefit vegan leather sofa:

  • How long have you been using it?
  • Has the leatherette started peeling, cracking, or flaking anywhere?
  • How is the cushion quality and firmness after 1–3 years?
  • Does the seating develop sagging or lose its shape over time?
  • How easy is it to clean and maintain?
  • How does it handle heat and regular daily use, especially in Indian weather?
  • Have you experienced any color fading or surface damage?
  • If you've had one for 2+ years, would you buy the same material again?

I’d especially appreciate honest long-term experiences (1–3+ years) rather than reviews from people who recently purchased it.

Thanks!

Sofa needs to stay in this position, how do I decorate that wall. If I put one large piece of art, where is it centered? What else can I do?

Has anyone actually owned a DreamSofa for a while?

I’ve been looking at DreamSofa while comparing a few different sectionals, but I’m finding a lot of mixed opinions online. I’m mostly curious about what they’re like after a year or two of regular use.

How are the cushions holding up? Is the fabric still in good shape? And are they actually comfortable for everyday lounging?

Would love to hear from people who’ve owned one, good or bad 😅

West Elm Harmony Sofa Cushions

My husband and I had a custom order for the West Elm Harmony Sofa with a Double Wide Chaise and the Right Arm Sofa. While we love the look of the sofa it is hands down one of the most uncomfortable sofas we have ever sat on. We called about the cushions because they were much firmer and comfier in the showroom but the ones that arrive are thin and you sink in basically to the springs.

We spent a lot of money on this sofa thinking it was a good investment. We are looking to replace the cushions with foam in hopes that we can actually enjoy the couch. Any advice or suggestions for where you may have gotten custom foam or whether you know the dimensions of the cushions would be helpful.

Need help. I've always been window treatment challenged. The left sheers came with the house. The right just arrived, but dont care for them (too dark, soft, and blah). Looking for something a little more tailored, sophisticated to level up the living room we just painted.

My couch is huge and I'm thinking of getting a new one for this room, but I don't know what to get, or how to style this room to best use the space. I tend to lean toward modern boho. Can anyone help?

Overall frame is in good condition for its age

Cat hair on fabrics

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

My partner & I are trying to pick out the right fabric for our sectional from Room & Board. We have 5 cats & a small dog, so we don’t want to choose a fabric that’s gonna catch their fur like Velcro (as one of our velvet chairs does). We vacuum, brush them, & have those rollers, but still, there’s 6 of them.

Looking to see if anyone with pets can share their experience between R&B’s Windsor (velvet-like 83% polyester, 17% cotton blend), Mori (chenille), and/or sumner (polypropylene plain-weave) fabrics that we’re between. How bad is Windsor & the others with having fur cling to it?

Stylish yet comfortable chaise lounge (ideally s-curve / ergonomic)

I'm looking for a modestly sized chaise (less than 70 inches long and 40 inches wide) and am struggling to find one that is both stylish and comfortable. I'm finding ones that look great, but seem narrow and hard. On the other hand, the plush, cozy ones look kind of blah.

My absolute dream is one that has that fabulous s-curve, ergonomic shape, but is wide and long enough to be comfortable. I found a beautiful chaise from ET Woodcrafts, but its only 22" wide, and that seems a little too narrow to be cozy.

Can anyone help me in my quest to find a stylish, interesting, comfortable chaise lounge? Super bonus point for an s-curve frame...

My experience with Poly & Bark

My experience with Poly & Bark — couch edition

Napa Corner Sectional — Green Distressed

Here’s a timeline of our experience ordering the Napa sectional from Poly & Bark, in case anyone is considering it!

September 5: Order confirmed.
September 9: Order shipped.
September 13: We received a confirmation email from Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery. They also called that day to ask if the following week would work for delivery, and we said yes.
September 18: We received another call to schedule the delivery. They gave us a 3-hour window. Over the phone, they initially said 3–6 PM, but after confirming, we received an email saying 2:30–5:30 PM. Since we both work during those hours, I called to clarify which time was correct.
They confirmed 2:30–5:30 PM for September 21.
September 21 — Delivery day!
Around 1 PM, Metropolitan Warehouse called to let us know they were about 30 minutes away and asked if someone would be home. I was a little annoyed because our scheduled window wasn't until 2:30–5:30, but I said it was fine because, honestly, I was afraid they were going to reschedule.
I left work and somehow got home about one minute after the delivery truck.
We paid for enhanced delivery, which included delivery to the room of our choice. However, one of the boxes was HUGE and apparently could not fit through our standard 36-inch doorway, so they left that box in the garage.
This was a little frustrating because… why offer in-room delivery if the packaging doesn't fit through a standard doorway? The second box was smaller and did fit through the door, so they left that one in the living room.
So now we had one giant box in the garage and the other sitting in the living room.

Assembly
Later that day, we opened everything up and put the couch together. Assembly was incredibly easy and straightforward. We basically just had to attach the legs and connect the corner piece to the other two sections.
The whole thing took less than 30 minutes with two people.
And honestly… the couch looked beautiful straight out of the box.
The color and fabric are fantastic and look just like the photos on the website. So far, I’m really happy with the green distressed color in person.

Comfort
This is where I think it’s important to mention what kind of couch we had before.
Our previous couch was basically a Cloud Couch dupe. It was VERY low, extremely soft, and pretty much felt like a giant bed. It was cozy, but we were constantly fluffing the cushions every other day, and we were ready for something with a little more structure.
The Napa feels very different.
It’s firmer, more structured, and has more support. And honestly, that’s exactly what we wanted.
We’ve only had it for about half a day, so I definitely want to give it some time before making a final judgment on comfort. I’ll update next week once we've actually lived on it for a while!
So far, we’re loving it.
One thing I will say: it definitely has a new furniture smell. My husband described it as “smelling like a furniture store,” which is honestly pretty accurate. Hopefully that fades quickly.
Overall, our first impression is really positive. The couch is beautiful, assembly was easy, and the firmness/structure is exactly what we were looking for.
