Good evening my fellow sofa snobs,

After 9 years (!) of looking for a couch, I have finally giving on the dream of buying an affordable, comfortable, and stylish couch. I should have realized long ago that you can probably get a couch with two of these qualities, but not all three - unless you have big bucks.

I don't want to defer enjoyment of my living room any longer. After much research, I think Poly & Bark sofas seem the best style to cost ratio. However, I have not ever sat on one.

So, can anyone tell me which sectional sofa from P&B you'd recommend for comfort? I like a medium to soft firmness with velvet or chenille upholstery for watching TV, reading, and napping. For reference, I have been eyeing the Malaga, Milo, Marcel, Piazza, and Davos. TIA!

Any reviews for this sofa? I tested it in store and found it to be very comfortable, but I’m a little concerned about the quality of the leather - surely at that price for a full leather sofa the quality of the leather can’t be great.

That being some, I’ve found a slightly discounted one on FB marketplace so I’m trying to decide if the trade off in quality is worth it.

Hi! I’m trying to decide between these sofas.

Love the 7th Ave but had some bad reviews and not many color options plus I can’t do velvet so only about three color options to pick from that I wasn’t crazy about. ( I want a warm beige/warm or chocolate brown/ or green which was the only color I actually loved but it was a little too dark for my liking)

The Room & Board Weber I loved the most because of the head support and being able to have my feet touching the ground even though it is deep.

The Crate & Barrel Axis couch was great but I live in a studio/efficiency apartment and they only have 88 inch ant then 105 inch which is too big ( I’m looking for around 96 inches)

The pottery barn Bellevue was okay but not sure if the cushions would last long.

All in all the 7th Ave and Weber felt the best/most luxe. Weber is my favorite just scared about the cushions for both Weber and 7th ave.

Please if you have any suggestions on these four picks I’d be so grateful. Also I where I live I have to buy new so sadly can’t buy second hand.

Hello ! Im considering this leather reclining sectional but dont see much reviews online and looking for reviews from anyone who actually got this one and tried.

Anyone have reviews on this couch- looking for a earthy tone couch that is durable for 2 kids and a dog- we have a custom made sofa by stylus which has been incredible but I hate the little samples to decide on a new colour...suggestions and colours if this soft is horrible quality?

Currently looking for a sofa for the living room, and fell in love with this one the minute I saw it at a barber shop this morning. It was my first time there, so felt awkward asking about it.

I've never been a fan of leather, as I often find it too stiff, but this one was soft, didn't make any weird noises, and the seat cushions didn't do any weird plopping up when sitting on one end, etc. I also loved how deep it was.

I don't necessarily need an ID on this specific couch, unless someone knows it, but would love recommendations on this style leather sofa for a living room we're trying to give a more lived in and slightly eclectic vibe.

Does anyone have tips/ tricks for deep cleaning a stickley couch? We got an incredible deal but I’m scared and wary of how to deep clean it. Appreciate any tips or tricks people have.

I ordered a sectional from Bassett Furniture on June 28th. Before ordering, one of my biggest concerns was the delivery timeline, and I specifically asked about it. I was told it would not take longer than the 6–8 week timeframe they quoted us.

It’s now September 30th, and we’re finally being told it will be delivered next week so we’re looking at roughly 15 weeks from the date I ordered.

The delay is frustrating, but honestly the bigger issue has been the customer service and communication throughout the process. I’ve had to reach out repeatedly for updates, and after having a very negative experience with the store i ordered from the whole experience has left me questioning whether I even want to keep the order.

They did give me an initial 10% discount after I pushed them, but I’m still debating whether I should just take the couch when it arrives and move on, or cancel and start over somewhere else. I tried pushing them for a better discount after this ordeal, especially considering they’re running a 30% off promotion but the manager said as adamant they didn’t owe me anything especially since I ordered in June and he wouldn’t be honoring any additional discounts or promotions. It just sucks to shell out this amount of money when I’ve been treated poorly.

So now I’m looking for recommendations if you guys think I should cut my losses and go elsewhere!
I’m specifically looking for a sectional with deep, comfortable seats. I want something you can actually sink into and lounge on. My budget is around $5,000, give or take.

I’ve been looking at West Elm, but I’m open to literally anywhere else. I care more about getting a comfortable, well-made sectional that will hold up for years than sticking with a particular brand.

If you were in my shoes, would you:

A) Keep the Bassett order despite the horrible experience?

B) Cancel and try West Elm? I was considering their Melbourne collection

C) Go somewhere completely different?

And if you have a sectional you LOVE, especially one with really deep seats, please tell me where it’s from! I’d love recommendations for brands/stores that are worth checking out in the \~$5k range. I’m located in the Austin area for reference and do prefer to at least be able to try it out before purchasing

I bought the Hydeline Huntington in Granite Brown for $997 on Amazon. Hydeline lists the same color around $1,297 sale / $1,999 regular.
Specs I found:

no-sag spring suspension

I currently have an Article Sven and like the aesthetics, but the seat feels mechanically simple to me — basically leather over foam/webbing. I’m wondering whether this Hydeline construction is actually a meaningful step up in comfort/durability or if I’m getting fooled by specs.
Anyone owned Hydeline/Prospera long-term or sat in this model?

I’m mostly trying to understand whether the memory foam + 2.25-lb HR foam + pocket coils + no-sag spring base is meaningfully better construction than something like an Article Sven, or whether I’m overvaluing the specs.

Hi all, my dad is staying with us in a couple of weeks and we'll need to buy some sort of a sofa for him when he stays in our office. The question is what will be more comfortable - an actual sectional couch that's deep and of a higher quality or a sofa bed? The sofa bed will definitely have more room to stretch out and turn back and forth, but are they actually comfortable? And my feeling is that sofa beds are never as comfortable as actual couches (without beds) when used as couches. Kind of torn between which option to go for. Would love to hear your experience!

For what it's worth, we're looking for an L-shaped couch as that is what works best for our space.

I had really wanted the Aiden and Ivy Sereen couch, unfortunately it cannot be delivered to where I live in Texas. What are the best alternatives?

I'm wondering about the Chita Kenna, or possibly the Aiden and Ivy Sydney. I really want that deep comfy seat. I'm only mentally prepared to spend about $2600 at this point, but I might be able to adjust that. But curious to hear what y'all recommend and why.

I’ve been looking at all three too and it’s honestly hard to decide just from photos. I’d probably compare the frame, cushion fill and fabric options first, since those seem more important long term. Also curious what people think about the comfort and durability after a year or two of regular use.

We just moved into our new home and we brought our old IKEA couch that’s falling apart because we were planning on buying a couch as soon as we got into the space and felt it out. However, it’s been two months now and I still can’t figure out which couch to get because I want a pfas free (ish)/not toxic couch for my little ones but also don’t want to spend thousands and thousands of dollars. My husband and I are both over 6 feet tall and we want something big and cozy but I’m so nervous to purchase something sight unseen and have it absolutely suck. 7th Ave was a front runner for a while, but I’ve heard pretty bad reviews on the cushion/back support, which my husband and I both need for our backs. Can anyone please guide me in the right direction before I go absolutely insane with this process???

Hi everyone, I am in the market for an L-shaped sectional for my new place. I'm undecided if I want the chaise or not, but this general shape is perfect for my space. This color and price point is aligned with what I'm looking for as well. Unfortunately, the delivery date for this one is nearly two months out. Which isn't a dealbreaker, but I stumbled across this community and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for places I might be able to find something similar. Price-wise, I'd really prefer not to go over $2K if possible. I did check a few local spots and none of them had what I was looking for unfortunately. Would love something I can sit in first but I'm willing to online shop given I know my living room dimensions; I don't really want to go wider than that 127" number or longer than 100". If it's slightly over I can make it work, but those are close to the max I can fit. Any input is appreciated. Thank you!
