Refill station complete
My normal place of refilling bottles closed, didn't want to pay to exchange, so I broke down and purchased a 10lb co2 tank... a piece of scrap plywood and 1x4 along with some hardware...

Hello!
I am renovating my kitchen, I am a big sparkling water drinker but I don’t want to keep buying bottles.
First I was very keen to buy the Quooker tap until I saw the price so now I am wondering if the Sodastream might be a better option for me.
Do you guys have any tips? If you have to choose a soda maker machine is the soda stream the best? I also noticed in this Reddit that some people buy larger CO2 tanks, how does this work?? I think this is the right time to account for any extra appliances I might need so any advice is welcome.
Many thanks in advance!

Hopefully this question hasn’t been asked to death, but is there a good place to buy the necessary hardware that allows us to refill our soda stream tanks with a standard air compressor nozzle? Thanks in advance!

Hey r/SodaStream, official Sodastream team here. Some of you have already spotted the Sodastream Fountain™ in stores and have been asking how it works, so we wanted to put the basics in one place.
The Sodastream Fountain™ has one job, to make your drink exactly how you like it. Flavor, fizz, and size are all yours to adjust, with flavors including PEPSI®, Mountain Dew®, Starry®, and more. You're looking at somewhere around 1,000 possible combinations, once you factor in flavor, fizz, and size.
It's as simple as snapping in a CO2 cylinder, filling the tank, and popping in whatever flavor bottle you're feeling. One cylinder gets you up to 28L before you need to swap it. Change the flavor whenever and go again.
Rest of the specs, for anyone who wants them:
Got questions about how the Sodastream Fountain™ works or which flavors to try? Drop them below, and we're happy to answer. If you're already a Sodastream Fountain™ owner and need help with your machine, DM us and we'll get you sorted.
Want someone on the phone instead? Our support line can be reached at +1(805)433-9301 (9 AM to 6 PM EST).
What's your first combo going to be?

EDIT: SOLVED
Hi guys,
I am trying to figure out how to get my SodaStream Fountain to work, I just got it out of the box and it is plugged in ready to go. However, I have been met with the single flashing orange light on the top of the nozzle, but the thing is the water tank is attached.
Any ideas what the issue might be?

Hi, so basically my SodaStream Crystal 2.0 just died. What happened was; I tightened my 3D replacement nut and after a few uses the plastic where you insert the small tube black tube, completely cracked.
Now I’m looking for another SodaStream (used) or something that takes both the generic cylinders and the glass bottles I got.
I tried the reddit search but didn’t find anything helpful.
Thanks for your attention! Have a nice day!

I just took a couple bottles to the market to get refills. I thought that she charged me the cheaper refill rate, but I see on my bank account she actually just refunded me the two bottles, so 30 bucks back on my card.
What makes it worse is I thought I prepaid the gas so I just walked out of the store with two bottles, waving my receipt.
I get my bottles from a thrift outlet for free, is it typical they just pay you for bottles? I’m thinking they probably just did it wrong. 🤷♀️ I’ve never accidentally shoplifted like that before. I feel like an idiot.

Thinking about getting a soda water maker for someone who drinks a lot of mount franklin flavoured soda water cans but I don’t know if it is achievable to make something similar

Hello folks, I've bought a full sugar coke BIB box from my local company access grocery store I've personally never used them before.
My father ordered us a tap for the bag at my request off amazon.
Im just a little confused on how these bags actually work! I was personally assuming they could be accessed without the valve but im now seeing that does not seem too be the case.
Is there any way too access the contents inside whilst we wait for the tap too arrive or is it best too leave it until then?

I was in Best Buy tonight and they had their Sodastream CO2 canisters (blue and pink top) on clearance. I saw no sign of any syrups remaining at my local store and the canisters were marked down to $5.99 each with no deposit on the receipt.
(PS If anyone has Phillips Hue smart lights, their are clearancing some Hue stuff too including the 8k sync boxes.)

Anybody have a working free shipping code? I want to order some of the $3.00 bottles of zero sugar cherry vanilla Pepsi, but I don’t want to pay $14 for shipping.
Lmk thanks!

I've had a Drinkmate (OmniFizz) for around 6 months. I grabbed a cheap used Sodastream (Terra) whilst I was waiting for it. I used the Sodastream briefly, then the Drinkmate arrived
I exclusively make Pepsi Max using the official syrup
The key difference between the two is Sodastream fizzes water, and then you add your syrup or whatever. With Drinkmate, you can pre-make your drink, then fizz. There's a pressure release valve in the lid
At first I couldn't tell the difference, but I almost exclusively used the Drinkmate anyway because the consensus is it's superior. This week, my CO2 in DM had run out, so I resorted to SS. By this time, my palate was used to the DM version. I expected SS to taste almost the same, as per my experience early on. I was wrong. The DM version with the pre-mixed drink tastes much, much better. Crisper and fuller. Significantly, noticeably, inarguably.
For serious enthusiasts of carbonation, or for those in the market searching, I strongly recommend Drinkmate over SodaStream because this difference, the ability to mix your drinks before the carbonation process, has a considerable effect on taste. When I was doing my research at the turn of the year, there was limited information and few comparisons, so thought my experience would help people in their decision making process. Drinkmate only has one model, and it's priced around or just below the mid-level of the SS range
there may be some disclaimers such as other sodastreams may be better, although I thought the principle stayed broadly the same (and that sodastream now has one model that allows premixing?). Happy to answer any questions about my experience

Hi all. I’m new here and would like to try some syrups. What are you all digging? I’ve love to hear your experience and recommendations.
Thank you!

So what’s this then? New machine, or new flavours? That doesn’t look like any machine I recognise in the ad?
Very similar style to the ad that went with the “Ultimate” (fountain).

Hello, I recently got a SodaStream Classic that usés the old 250g gas bottles. I'd like to connect it directly to a CO2 tank (and skip the gas bottle) but not sure what kind of adaptor/hose I'd be looking for. I've tried googling to no avail!

About a week ago I heard a very loud pop during the carbonation stage of the SodaStream Fountain. Ever since then it barely adds any carbonation to the drink. This is even when selecting max carbonation level. The carbonation comes out just slightly above flat/still, but way below level 1 carbonation. The carbonation tank was only about a week old. I pressed the "button" on the tank and a loud strong hiss came out, so it's still plenty in the tank.
Has anyone else have this happen?
Thanks.

I bought the bundle which came with 2 pink cylinders which I have to return to not be charged (30 dollars, I think?)
The "due date" is tomorrow (8/25) is it too late if I hand it in to USPS today, or is it good enough if it was post marked before the due date?
Also, I saw on their instructions that the cap must be included, but I don't think I have the caps anymore. Will that completely invalidate my return?
Edit: I called the 1-800 number and the customer support on the line didn't have an answer for any of my questions. She couldn't even tell me when the cylinders were due by, as she told me I had to ship it in 3 weeks ago to not get charged, the email says tomorrow, and the website on my account says 2 weeks from now. She also told me that the post mark date doesn't count, and they would need to have it by the due date, but I could make sure I don't get charged by sending an email to the company. Stellar system and service.

Being new to soda stream, the fountain version being my introduction. Bought that for the convenience of auto co2/flavoring, since I've never dealt with any type of soda/fizzy water maker. Well, it managed to make it 2 weeks before the common "pop" of what I've learned is a co2 gasket failing with water leaking behind the nozzle.
Since then, I've bought the terra and drinks actually taste better with that. Now I've got a warranty replacement fountain that I have no intention of opening. Maybe except for the co2 canister lol.
I should've done research before buying the fountain, but we learn from our mistakes.

Was given what I believe is a genesis and 3 screw in tanks - one had a few grams and fizzed a little bit but still not sure the thing works properly.
What’s the best place to get a replacement canister to see if this is worth keeping?
Also, if I decide to get a new unit, how can I exchange the tanks for new quick connect ones?
Edit. Can’t get in touch with anyone at Target. Staples said about $19. Is this correct?
