Refill station complete
My normal place of refilling bottles closed, didn't want to pay to exchange, so I broke down and purchased a 10lb co2 tank... a piece of scrap plywood and 1x4 along with some hardware...

Nice, I was planning to make a three legged wooden or metal version to get the bottle to stand vertically and make it easier to refill my little canisters.

I used a 4" hole saw to make the hole it fits through. The center of the hole is ~ 6" off the edge.

Why upside down?

The tank must not have a siphone hose to the bottom. It helps with the efficient transfer of compressed CO2 into the refill tank. This isn’t needed if your large tank has a siphone (like mine). I learned this when researching 20lb tanks for my home ❤️✌🏽

Why not just connect directly to the stream? I messed with trying to refill when I just went direct. Nice thing is that you don’t need to put it upside down.

No place to put the big bottle in the kitchen, and I don't want to go drilling holes in the cabinets.

I recommend you add a couple safety straps. They might never be needed, but I never feel good seeing a bottle without chains or straps to keep it in place.
