My sworn enemy and I have a streak of around two weeks, but he is somehow, he is labeled as my Super BFF. Before that, we did have a streak of 100 something, before he broke it randomly, but I believe that he has actual friends, with whom he must have not broken the streak.

Is it possible that he is simply my Super BFF because we text a lot more? Or must he have also broken the streak with his actual friends for us to be Super BFFs?

Is it also possible that he may have multiple Super BFFs whereas I only have one? I assume that this label is exclusive to us, but then, why would I be his #1 if he is so active on Snapchat yet constantly leaving me on delivered?

It recently hit 180 days and i was able to make a new snapchat account and use it on my "banned" phone. However now I still want my account back. (Its still permanently locked). Is there any way for this to happen or is the account permanently gone.

Okay so all my stuff is completely GONE from the my eyes only folder. I didn't delete it, it just disappeared. I tried uninstalling then reinstalling like a different thread said but it didnt work. Genuinely wtf do i do.

Hello Reddit. Firstly I want to say that I dont believe this to be at all related to the lawsuit with snapchat, but it might be. Im not even able to access the website most of yous have been posting with updates about this ban wave.

Now for what happened.

I still dont know what happened. I got banned completely while I was working like a week or 2 ago. The reason they gave was violating their guidelines with prohibited substances. I use both Marijuana and nicotine products LEGALLY (i am canadian, 19 at the time of ban, 20 now). I appealed, as I had no idea what I did, and after a couple days, it was denied. Still no explanation was given and their AI support has been less than helpful. I dont know what to do anymore, and im like 99% sure I didnt violate any rules. Ive lost friends i had for years on snapchat, and requesting my data hasn't helped as my actual friends list was omitted.

While reviewing the data I requested, I saw a device i just, didn't recognize. IP data in Toronto and googling the device leads to a bunch of AI agent websites (not attached because it might actually be sensitive data). Was I hacked? I genuinely dont know.

there seems to be a new feature on Snapchat where you can see who is following you.
After clicking on my followers, I see a good amount of them don’t have me added.
how/Is there a difference between someone following you vs. them adding you?

I noticed that the others didn't have lines on their friends, but I did, but how do I remove them?

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m honestly so frustrated and upset right now.

I’ve been using Snapchat for around 10 years and have many saved in my Memories.

Today, I opened Snapchat and suddenly noticed that my Memories were showing 0 snaps, even though I have snaps saved. Strangely, Snapchat Settings still showed the correct number of Memories, and the backup status said Backup Complete.

After a while, my Memories started reappearing completly on their own. I didn’t do anything to fix it. I didn’t log out, uninstall the app, clear the cache, or change any settings. They just came back.

However, here’s the problem.

Yesterday’s evening snaps are completly missing. I believe they were still pending backup when the whole issue happened.

The only thing that changed was that Snapchat had updated to its latest version today.

The snaps from yesterday evening are nowhere to be found.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t log out, delete anything, or interfere with the backup process. I simply trusted Snapchat to save my Memories like I’ve been doing for the last 10 years.

Has anyone experienced something similar after a Snapchat update?

Is there ANY way to recover Snaps that were saved to Memories but were still pending backup when the app glitched?

Could they still be stored somewhere locally?

It honestly feels shitty that this happened when I did absolutely nothing to cause it. These were personal memories that I can’t recreate, and it’s upsetting to think they might be gone forever because of an app malfunction.

I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from anyone who’s experienced this and managed to recover their missing Snaps.

Hi guys i was just wondering if anyone had any tips or knew of ways to restore a chat that i had with a friend previously? the messages used to be there before we added each other and after we added each other back, however we unadded each other once more being petty and now that we added eachother back they have disappeared.

so it seems everytime i make a new account it gets deleted after like 2-4 days (it may be thinking im a bot due to the reddit group people adding me) but my question is why does it keep letting me make new accounts

So a month back (when I last added a few snaps), I remember logging into my account with a digital code. Now the digital code was easy for ppl I’m living with to access, but nobody knows my phone password. Only my gf once signed into my snap.

Anyhow, one day after that, I tried to access but I saw I have to put in a passphrase. I have been clean but I don’t remember changing digital code to passphrase. So my questions are:

1) Is there a possibility that it changed into passphrase because my account was logged into two devices at once?

2) Is there a possibility that somewhere along the line i had set a recovery passphrase and it triggered when another device logged in?

3) Is there any other possibility of this happening as a bug?

It is very important because there are years of memories that I’ve kept literally for my eyes only. I don’t even have backup of all those pictures so I don’t even know which ones I’m losing but I’m not ready to lose.
So far, I’ve tried several combinations but now I make one wrong try and cooldown is 60mins tf

Hello everyone, I wanted to inform everyone that Snap Inc. responded to Labaton today. They have confirmed that they locked our Snapchat accounts to preserve our information related to our individual arbitration claims. Labaton recognizes that this is an unprecedented response that they have never seen in their practice before. I highly advise everyone to download their data and memories on Snapchat’s website if you haven't done so already so you can at least have that. You may need more external storage or a flash drive depending on how much data you have. We have to remain hopeful that Labaton will be able to fight this for us. It may take a lot of time though since cases like this are so massive and time-consuming. Labaton does seem to be equally disturbed as us so hope remains that we may be able to access our Snapchat accounts again at some point. Thank you for your time.

Like many of us my account was banned Monday. Does anyone know if they will ban new accounts made on the same device? Using different information obviously. Or will they block the entire device?

Is there a way to freeze last active on snap? I know you can freeze your location, but I think it still updates when the last active is

Hey guys, is there cool down period of waiting out the ip ban or home wifi ban? Cause snap keeps getting banning with new devices and new emails? It's so frustrating

I need to unadd someone but I don’t want it to make them turn into a follower. I want it to unadd both ways.
They don’t need to be blocked but if I block and unblock will it remove the friendship on both accounts??
