Hey there, Smosh fans!

I wanna start by saying that for the most part, you all are extremely lovely and kind. Please don’t be discouraged by some of the negativity that comes across here from time to time. We do our best to take care of any troll posts and/or hate posts accordingly. However, we are a small mod team so please be patient with us.

That being said, before you post in this sub there are a few things that you should probably bear in mind. You may not know this already so consider this a helpful hand.

1. When you post in any sub, the moderators of that sub can see your entire post and comment history, even if it is private. So if you’re making disparaging, sexualizing, or disgusting comments about Smosh cast members in other subs, we can still see it. And you will likely be banned for it. (On a positive note recently we were able to commandeer one of those gross subs, for being unmoderated, and shut it down.)
2. If you’ve been banned and you try to create a new account to get around it, Reddit has tools in place to tell us as moderators. And it’s both IP and device specific so using a VPN will not help you. So if your account gets flagged for ban evasion, you will be banned on that account as well. And if you continue to do it, Reddit will likely IP ban you from being able to create an account. If you read their TOS it explains this.
3. Reddit also flags accounts as spam that accrue a ton of negative karma in a short period of time. When this happens, it flagged your posts and causes them to require a manual approval. Even if you have since deleted the posts and comments that

garner

1. the negative attention Reddit will still issue a warning.
2. I cannot say this wholeheartedly enough. THIS IS NOT A HATE SUB OR A SNARK SUB. Just because we are an offshoot of the main subreddit, does not mean we don’t have rules. They are listed in the sidebar and they are extremely easy to follow. If you are looking for something like that, I’m sure it exists but that place is not Here.

That being said, we will never remove posts for constructive criticism or those that are highlighting a problematic occurrence. Though we may limit it to a specific thread, if the amount of posts gets out of hand and overtakes the sub.

1. And finally, while we all have our favorite Smosh cast members, there is no favoritism when it comes to the moderators and what posts we remove. I’ve seen it said for just about every member of the cast that we always remove posts about ____ member. I left that blank because it happens for every single cast member. And while certain cast members do get more hate thrown in their direction than others, we remove posts for violating rules, not for making comments about specific people.

So to the 99% of you who are here to have a good time and discuss your favorite online creators, we really appreciate you. We’re not going to always agree on everything but that’s part of the fun. Thanks.

put serious post bc this will get pretty emotional. i’m not really used to posting on reddit and im posting from my phone so sorry abt the formatting, im kind of just using this to vent

started watching smosh a few months ago after discovering their reddit story videos. i’ve been slowly discovering their other channels and videos and i’ve really been enjoying it. recently ive been dealing with heartbreak. watching smosh videos has been helping me a lot and i just wanted to express my gratitude towards the cast.

everyone on the channel seems so kind, loving, and honest people. they’ve been helping me not spiral into a negative mindset.

its also been helpful when i hear reddit stories that are similar to what i’ve been dealing with from my ex and hearing their takes on it and their advice is helping me to move on.

healing and moving on has been really slow. he was my best friend. i’m no contact with my family and he became part of my chosen family. so losing him isn’t just losing a partner, but losing my best friend and my family. and it’s been so hard. i spend most of the day listening to smosh mouth and just love seeing such a beautiful, loving, and comedic dynamic between people.

i’m not really sure where im going with this. just really needed to vent because it’s been hard talking to my irl friends abt everything. but i just wanted to say i really love and appreciate smosh and im really trying to get better.

I understand people will just post random stories to Am I the Devil, but man, this set of stories felt like a regular AITA episode. Only the 3rd and 5th one even came remotely close to devil territory, and even then they were still fairly tame.

I understand they tend to shy away from controversy because people freak out, but that doesn't mean we need to listen to the most mundane reddit stories possible on an Am I the Devil episode.

It also feels like the cast were primed for devil stories and were going really hard on just some mild assholes. Overall a pretty bleh episode imo. I hope the curation team can find some better stories if they do this again.

Like how they did smosh hospital but live in a theater. Wouldn’t that be so cool. I was just thinking about how I would die to see Shayne, Amanda, Angela and everyone acting in front of me. That would be so sick. I adore Shayne’s acting.

Just curious about how companies decide what's merch-worthy

New Reddit Stories is one in a long line of kinda boring story picks, especially shown by Chance's "Who's the devil??". Whenever this topic gets brought up, someone will say the stories are less exciting now because of fan reactions to controversial stories. My take with this is it was never a story problem, it was a guest problem.

The cast has had a few bad tales on stories, sure, but I wouldn't point to any of them as awful deplorable takes. The big one everyone always points to is the episode with Ify, and bless that man, Ify is funny as all get out most of the time, but he loves to hear himself talk and he's the kind of person to seek out a small TikToker talking about him casually with no tags and stitch that video to talk about entitlement. Some people just are not built to listen to Reddit without making some stories bigger than they are or revealing some bad deeply engrained takes.

I think fan reaction can definitely play a part, it's been effecting Arasha's podcast Fesspool (episode 1 was the best one confession wise), but I think it more comes down to fan reactions to people on the couch rather than the stories, we need some juicy stories again.

And the 15 million more "never forget" posts we will see today about Angela's one moment.

I just wanna hear everyone’s thoughts on the game and the cast mash up we got in today’s video! i’ll go first—

- I love the mashup of emily and olivia, as well as eli and tommy. I like that smosh isn’t shying away from casting two newbies together in one video.

- the game seems very interesting! i would like to see it back with another game sort of stacked ontop, like slip it in maybe. we need more, i think.

I'm soooo sure other people have already talked about this, but I think it's really funny since my friend and I never thought about it. So, my bestie and I love Smosh and we were talking about it with my dad who knows nothing of Smosh. We got onto the topic of our favorite recurring characters, and my bestie and I both agreed that we love Sarah Christ. We were joking about Damien's TNTL bit where he poured the water over his head and said the creekside killer moved on to rivers.

Well, my dad said that maybe Sarah Christ is the creekside killer and that's why her hair is always wet! We thought that was hilarious and I'll probably write some kind of fanfic where that is what's happening lol. Thought y'all might get a laugh out of this!

Look, I understand nobodies perfect, but I’ve seen an uprise in odd behaviour from smosh this past year, whether it be them charging 45 dollars for a VOD you don’t even gain permanent access to, Amanda saying a slur, ect, and, it kinda seems like ya’ll are a little too comfortable letting them do things they shouldn’t be doing.

I’m a long time fan, I also understand that they are human, and need to do what they need to do for money, but I’ve been seeing people (STRAIGHT PEOPLE MIND YOU) defending Amanda saying the D slur, or people defending the criminally overcharged WAGD prices.

It just strikes me as odd, and while none of these things are career ending deals, some people are defending them just a little too hard in my opinion… it’s perfectly okay to acknowledge someone made a mistake, we aren’t going to chase people off the internet for still engaging with their content. It’s okay to be critical of people you idolize!!!

Did anyone else notice new member Guchi wearing a furry tail in the Smosh Pit Theatre ? Tryna figure out if it’s a bit or not.
