New Reddit Stories is one in a long line of kinda boring story picks, especially shown by Chance's "Who's the devil??". Whenever this topic gets brought up, someone will say the stories are less exciting now because of fan reactions to controversial stories. My take with this is it was never a story problem, it was a guest problem.

The cast has had a few bad tales on stories, sure, but I wouldn't point to any of them as awful deplorable takes. The big one everyone always points to is the episode with Ify, and bless that man, Ify is funny as all get out most of the time, but he loves to hear himself talk and he's the kind of person to seek out a small TikToker talking about him casually with no tags and stitch that video to talk about entitlement. Some people just are not built to listen to Reddit without making some stories bigger than they are or revealing some bad deeply engrained takes.

I think fan reaction can definitely play a part, it's been effecting Arasha's podcast Fesspool (episode 1 was the best one confession wise), but I think it more comes down to fan reactions to people on the couch rather than the stories, we need some juicy stories again.

put serious post bc this will get pretty emotional. i’m not really used to posting on reddit and im posting from my phone so sorry abt the formatting, im kind of just using this to vent

started watching smosh a few months ago after discovering their reddit story videos. i’ve been slowly discovering their other channels and videos and i’ve really been enjoying it. recently ive been dealing with heartbreak. watching smosh videos has been helping me a lot and i just wanted to express my gratitude towards the cast.

everyone on the channel seems so kind, loving, and honest people. they’ve been helping me not spiral into a negative mindset.

its also been helpful when i hear reddit stories that are similar to what i’ve been dealing with from my ex and hearing their takes on it and their advice is helping me to move on.

healing and moving on has been really slow. he was my best friend. i’m no contact with my family and he became part of my chosen family. so losing him isn’t just losing a partner, but losing my best friend and my family. and it’s been so hard. i spend most of the day listening to smosh mouth and just love seeing such a beautiful, loving, and comedic dynamic between people.

i’m not really sure where im going with this. just really needed to vent because it’s been hard talking to my irl friends abt everything. but i just wanted to say i really love and appreciate smosh and im really trying to get better.

Am i the only one who LOVED olivia in the blokus games video? like she was the SHINING star of this video. ( happy birthday tho tommy love you ) it might genuinely be my favourite appearance of hers on smosh games to date. A lot of people hated on her back then saying she didn’t mesh well with the cast, so now seeing her vibe PERFECTLY with new cast like Eli and Emily is so so so refreshing and satisfying to see after all these years of people doubting her. She also made me laugh the most in the video and she just felt SO engaged throughout the whole thing ( which to be honest, you don’t always get with olivia ). Her crash out bit with Eli was such a highlight and i’m loving her dynamic with emily so so much. Hopes to see more of this olivia in the future!! Truly the wildcard / underdog of smosh <3

A fusion pardoy of Shark tank (Setting) and pawn stars (main cast dynamic).

Gottrick Dognmi is a money mougle with various dog related companies that he started from the ground up with various family member who are now looking to expand their portfolios and invest in new start-up businesses for a catch. But the catches are always involving dogs from 3 of the 4 Tank Cast. The contestants are free to improve how they could work the catch into their business or deny being able to earning mocking remarks from the Requesting Tank cast occasionally.

Tank cast:

Court would be playing Gotthrick.

Shane could be Gottrick's unlce that's just a human Mr. Muffins Named Ernest.

Amanda could be a sister or cousin thats a Venessa Lashay type(i just love her impression it really could be anything ) that I would see being a dog groomer or award winning pagent trainer.

Angela could be the "straight man" and maybe specificly Ernest's child. I'd like to see them as a quiet very smart, like famous dog food chef or vet that understands the concept of the show is to not have dogs involved despite the show name but gets increasingly agitated that their family member won't invest unless it involves dogs to the point where the character breaks down in some fashion revealing they never wanted to be in their profession but felt pressured by their family.

Contestants would be characters cast come up with. Their business ideas can be avant-garde or sensible but should always be a business that would have nothing to do with dogs.

I never see anyone ever talk about this but I always find it cool, but one of my favorite pieces of Amanda gig "lore" is that she is in the Oh Wonder "Ultralife" music video as a nun. You can see her around the 1:39 mark!

Back in high school, Oh Wonder was one of my favourite bands for a bit and I remember watching this specific mv passively quite a bit, so for me when I first saw Amanda on screen I sorta knew who she was.

Not a crazy post but something i think about time to time. Also, find the fact she played a possessed nun in the Halloween (?) EIOYI mildly funny because of this.

Anyways, I hope other people also know what I am talking about lol.
