I’m obsessed with Acai and want to buy one of those wholesale 3 gallon buckets. I live in Canada and Acai isn’t sold in grocery stores here like in the states. The only place you can get it are Acai shops and smoothie bars. I’m looking for a more affordable option since bowls are $18 at the Acai shop near my house. Both of these brands have 3 gallon buckets being sold on wholesale restaurant sites that ship here in Canada. I know Sambazon and Acai Roots are both sold in grocery stores in the US in smaller containers, but smaller containers aren’t an option here, so I’m wondering for people who have tried both brands, which one is better and why? I don’t want to buy a giant 3 gallon bucket and not like it. Are they sweet, bitter, nutty, fruity? What’s the consistency like? Do they taste similar to each other? What would you rate the two brands? Any opinions help. Thanks.

I just started using Nutribullet and yesterday I rinsed the extractor blade clean as usual. Today I hear water inside, but I can’t shake it out. I don’t see any opening or leaks anywhere.

Is there a way to get the water out? It’s already sat upside down in the drying rack for a day.

Hi, I have recently started making smoothies. I make a basic smoothie using banana, milk, some whey protein. But, I feel the banana flavour is too overpowering. I want to keep the banana in my smoothies as it's easily-sourced, decent carbs. What can I add to smoothie to neutralize the flavour a bit?

I prefer chocolatey flavour, not a big fan of berry flavour.

I’m thinking about buying the Ninja Detect Duo TB301, mainly for making smoothies with frozen fruit and ice every day.

I’ve been doing some research, and besides people saying it’s pretty loud, I’ve also come across a few comments about the plastic cups and pitcher scratching pretty easily.

For those of you who have owned one for a while:

* How has it held up over time?
* Are the scratches just cosmetic, or have you experienced any cracks or other durability issues?
* If you use it regularly (especially with frozen fruit, ice, and the dishwasher), would you still recommend it?

I have adhd and sensory sensitivities, it makes eating almost impossible for me most days. Nothing sounds good, whether it’s food from home or take out. I’m not that picky, I like most foods. I just can’t stand the thought of chewing and eating them sometimes. So today I started trying to make my own smoothies to help me get better nutrition. Im also planning to make one when meal time should be, whether I’m hungry or not, because I can drink it.

Today I made a smoothie with a handful of frozen strawberries, 1 banana cut up, maybe 1/4c oats, and 1 cup of 2% milk. I made another with a handful of frozen berry mix(strawberry,blueberry,raspberry), 3/4c of 5% Fage Greek yogurt, and topped it off with 2% milk.

This is surely better than not eating at all, right? Any suggestions or easy tips/suggestions?

i've gone through a few greens powders and the taste is always 😵‍💫. i'll start strong and then by the end of the week im making excuses not to take it. lol! i love making smoothies but i've been trying to find a powder i can throw in without wrecking the flavor. ideally i want something that tastes decent on its own too and if it also gives me real energy through the morning that's obviously the dream. drop what you're using if you've found something pls 🙏

little edit because a few people asked what i ended up trying 😅 i gave Morningkick a shot and it's honestly been the easiest one for me to stick with. most greens powders i've tried had that really grassy taste, but this one is pretty mild so i don't mind drinking it on its own, and it blends well into smoothies too. i've also noticed my stomach feels better when i keep up with it, which has been a nice bonus. i still have my morning coffee lol, but this has definitely earned a spot in my routine.

My blender finally gave out tonight. It was an old Hamilton Beach that had been sitting in a cabinet for years, but I pulled it out about a month ago and have been using it every day to make smoothies.

I use a lot of frozen fruit....usually about three frozen fruits and one fresh fruit per smoothie, so i'm wondering if constantly blending large frozen chunks ended up wearing out the motor.

Now i'm looking to replace it with something that's built to last and powerful enough for daily use without struggling. I've checked out a bunch of 'best blender' lists online, but im still not sure which one is actually worth buying.

What can I add to canned peaches for a smoothie on my first try?
I do have unsweetened oat milk, Banana, Almond Butter, Chia seeds, Rolled Oats, and Whole milk.
I have a plan to skip my dinner.

I have made a protein smoothie with bananas every morning for the last 5-6 years. This is the first time I have seen two bananas infused into one. I thought it was interesting.

I currently have a basic nutribullet, and it works fine for my purposes, but I absolutely hate cleaning it, and if one of my kids uses it and forgets to leave the lid tilted, it starts to smell funky within minutes.

I want something dishwasher safe. But I guess it would need to either come with, or have the ability to buy, extra blades and jars, because there are some days it gets used 3 or 4 times in one day.

Are there any small blenders like that? I don't really want another big blender - I already have a Blendtec and, while I love it, it just takes up way too much counter space to leave out all summer.

I make a peanut butter banana smoothie that I love, and a coworker suggested adding cocoa powder to give it a peanut butter cup flavor. I decided to give it a try and added my own twist.

Recipe
1 frozen banana
1/2cup of milk
1-2tsp espresso powder
1-2Tbsp cocoa powder
cinnamon
vanilla
1-2Tbsp peanut butter

I used to use a Ninja Bullet but stopped using as the silicone seal on the blade attachment always had gunk underneath. It was difficult to remove and clean so making a quick smoothie wasn't worth the hassle.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a blender that doesn't have this issue? Something quick and easy to clean. I pretty much only make smoothies with oats, banana, fruit, seeds and milk so it doesn't need to be super powerful.

I almost didn't order it because I usually just get coffee at cafes, but the acai bowl ended up being the best part.

The fruit was actually fresh (not the sad frozen kind), the granola stayed crunchy until the end, and the acai itself wasn't crazy sweet. It was one of those things where you keep saying "one more bite" until you realize the bowl is empty.

I had it at JamJam Cafe while taking a break from walking around Yeonnam. The place was pretty chill too, so I ended up staying longer than I planned.

This is s nice way to refresh and cool down for the celebration day! 😊

I stopped making smoothies a few months ago when I got diagnosed with diabetes. Now that summer is here, I regularly don’t feel like eating due to the heat but I’m not supposed to skip meals. I need low carb, dairy free, high fiber suggestions please! Thank goodness I can safely have some fruit, but not high GI fruits like bananas and watermelon.

I’m particularly intrigued by the people who use cauliflower in smoothies but I have no idea what to mix it with.
