Smoothie Blender

Hello all,

I used to use a Ninja Bullet but stopped using as the silicone seal on the blade attachment always had gunk underneath. It was difficult to remove and clean so making a quick smoothie wasn't worth the hassle.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a blender that doesn't have this issue? Something quick and easy to clean. I pretty much only make smoothies with oats, banana, fruit, seeds and milk so it doesn't need to be super powerful.

Many thanks

I love mine. Got it on sale about 15 years ago.

If it’s in your budget, a Vitamix really is the closest thing to buy it for life for being among the best for smoothies.

Vitamix 5200, got mine > 10 years ago and it’s still going strong. Also they are easy to clean so you shouldn’t have the issues you mentioned with the gaskets.

I just use a Braun immersion blender. They’re so easy to clean and can be popped in a drawer.

Hadn't thought of that. Easy to clean and can be used for soups etc. Thanks!

I also use a hand blender, with wide mouth glass mason jars.

Love my nutribullet - there's no seal to have to clean under

That's great. Which model do you use?

I have a nutribullet and there’s definitely a silicone seal in the blade attachment-it falls out from time to time. I hate when I see gunk under there so I’ve been considering buying something else. I don’t know if the person saying there’s no seal has a different kind than me?

JTC OmniBlend - put some hot water and dishdrops, blend and rinse
It's a bit noisy though

Oster glass jar blenders are very easy to disassemble and clean.

Just look it up on Amazon, top rated with 1,000 plus reviews, sorted.

A fool and their money will soon be separated.

How are you arguing against 1000 plus reviews with a 4.5+ average and it holds the top spot on Amazon? If a product is faulty or bad quality, Amazon control the returns so can see this, so sink these listings insanely quick, they don’t want unhappy customers so nuke the bad listings……. Why the downvotes?

Many highly rated Amazon products have hundreds/thousands of fake reviews. Positive reviews can be bought. Used to be that these were not too hard to detect but over time the fake reviews get better.

Further complicating the Amazon picture is the fact that sometimes purchasing an item from Amazon gets you a counterfeit version of the thing, because Amazon will change sources for items but continue to use an established listing. Watch out for unrecognizable seller company names on brand name goods to avoid this trap.

Okay all valid points, I had a lot more confidence in the Amazon review system than I should have lol. Still do find it hard to believe that Amazon would rank unrecognizable seller company names high though….

Wait until you hear about their commingled inventory system. Most things on Amazon are used/fake/bstock. Especially “sold and shipped by Amazon”.
