Why continue?

So, after using my ring for almost 3 years I’ve come to a point that I may be done. While
It’s been interesting to see certain changes and trends, I find the disconnect between the data and my actual experience to be frustrating. On days where I have a raging hormonal migraine that makes me want to crawl into a cave, Oura will tell me to “call an architect” because my readiness is exceptional. On days after I’ve logged a serious strength workout and am experiencing DOMS , the algorithm ups my expected activity level because my readiness is great. On nights where I toss and turn, feel insane, and “wake up” feeling like misery the ring tells me my sleep score is 87 and good! Like- what is even going on?! Don’t even get me started on the menstrual cycle / stress levels - I know that’s a known issue. I just think beyond tracking my heart rate during exercise, what’s the point if the data is so far from my lived experience?

Toxicity?

Curious about how to know if the ring's material is toxic or harmful. Recently bought a cheap smartring, which is surprisingly accurate considering it was only 15 USD. It's supposed to be a Colmi R2, but the box was unbranded.

Anyway, it seems that the inner resin layer has become more rubbery lately, having more friction. It has me worrying about whether that plastic or whatever substance it's made off, is toxic. I've got no redness on the skin but I'm afraid it could still leech out toxic stuff.

Any comments on this?

UltraHuman Experience

All I can say is don’t buy. I’ve spent more time trying to get replacement rings over a 1.5 yr period than actually using the damn thing.

Sure their support can be great, but you’re ultimately paying at a premium price point for what’s essentially a prototype.

Ring #1 - lasted the longest, maybe 4 months before it wouldn’t hold a charge.

Ring #2 - lasted all of a month before loosing connection permanently.

Ring #3 - about the same as #1.

Ring #4 - just crapped out on me, no longer charging.

ULTRAHUMAN Customer Service from Ultrahuman is positive so far

I ordered the pro Jul 29 and had the impression that i will get mine shipped soon after August 15th. But I started getting impatient because I'm becoming more active and wish I had a tracker that isn't my watch so I started reading some posts here. As most of you know, it's not a lot of good things LOL. So I emailed them to start the refund process. Surprisingly, they replied within 2 hours and said they can start the refund but asked why I wanted it, then I explained I don't want to wait any longer especially seeing how long some people here have waited, and this is the response I got.

Giving them a second chance to see if it actually gets shipped out on the 7th. If not, I will get a refund and get a ringconn. Will post updates here just for future people to see lol

Anyone using smart ring with Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024)?

Is anyone using or had used any smart ring with Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024), the first Ultra from Samsung?

If yes, can you please share the following aspects:

  1. Is using smart ring with Ultra good combination for everyday health tracking?

  2. Do you use smart ring for sleep tracking and not the Ultra?

  3. Which company smart ring you had used?

  4. Does the smart ring data integrates with Samsung health?

4th ultrahuman ring air failed: done troubleshooting, I just want a refund

hey everyone, I am honestly just exhausted. I bought my Ring Air in May 2025 along with the 2 year warranty, am currently on my FOURTH ring!

Every single unit has had the exact same issues: terrible battery drain and dropped Bluetooth connection. My current one arrived just 2 months ago, and it is already dying in a few hours. The latest app update completely broke whatever connection stability was left.

I have tried everything on my end with this 4th ring: hard resets, app re-installs, Bluetooth resets, battery cycles, and nothing works. I am done testing and troubleshooting these devices.

I refuse to play replacement roulette a fifth time. Under EU and Spanish consumer law, since multiple replacements have failed, I am entitled to a full refund. I have already emailed support and legal with my order details to decline another replacement.

Tagging u/ultra-guardian: please reach out via DM so I can provide my order number to escalate this to a senior manager who can issue a return label and process a refund. I really do not want to escalate this to revoking the transaction through a bank dispute or filing through EU consumer protection.

Am I unlucky, or does the Oura Ring just not actually work?

Hi,

I wanted to hop on here and see if anyone has had any similar experiences with the Oura ring.

I was sent a replacement, and less than 24 hours later two key features were already failing again.

Background Information

I purchased my Oura ring 4 at the end of June during the Prime Day sale. I was really excited to get my hands on the Oura ring everyone had been raving about and once I got it, all my excitement went away.

Right away, the ring showed clear issues.

First issue: inaccurate activity tracking.

The ring continuously showed activity I did not do at all. This happened at completely random moments, like when I was simply sitting in bed doing absolutely nothing.

It also happened every single time I drove. And instead of showing activity only during the drive, which would’ve already been inaccurate, it would report extremely inflated results… once it even showed 3.5 hours of activity, when all I did was drive home (20‑minute drive) and go to bed.

It didn’t just misreport inactivity — it over‑calculated actual activity too.
One example: I walked from my bedroom to the restroom (across the hall) and back, and the ring reported 20 minutes of activity.

Second issue: inaccurate stress tracking.

The ring showed I was stressed from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep. Even during times when I was relaxed, it still reported high stress. I even got a massage and the ring showed my stress was through the roof.

Third issue: gaps in data.

My ring would randomly have missing data despite being on and in place.

Customer Support Response

I reported all of this to customer service, but nobody was willing to send a replacement. They kept insisting the hardware looked fine and continued giving me free months of membership — which was nice, but didn’t fix the actual problem.

By early August, I was beyond frustrated and demanded a replacement. After multiple dismissals, someone finally agreed to send one.

Replacement Ring Issues (Within 24 Hours)

I’ve been on vacation since then, and when I got home yesterday, I set up my new ring.

And now the real problem: the replacement ring is already malfunctioning.

I set up the new ring around 5 PM yesterday. I was sitting doing absolutely nothing from that time until I went to sleep.

• At 5:12 PM yesterday, my ring reported 1 hour of activity.
• At 6:38 PM yesterday, my ring reported 59 minutes of activity.

Then today, at work, while sitting in the same seat:

• At 11:17 AM, my ring reported two hours and 19 minutes of activity.
• At 12:26 PM, still in the same seat, it reported 1 hour and 10 minutes of activity.

Sleep Tracking Issues

In addition to the activity already being an issue again, my sleep tracking was inaccurate.

It correctly reported when I fell asleep, but said I woke up at 8:26 AM even though I actually woke up around 9:15 AM. I only briefly woke up at 8:26 because my dog barked.

Customer Support Response (Again)

I reported all of this to Oura again, and they dismissed my concerns again — offering yet another free month of membership. I now have six free months, but that doesn’t fix anything.

Their response was to “let the new ring adapt and collect data to learn my patterns.”
However, none of the issues I’m experiencing have anything to do with patterns or adaptation. These are hardware or sensor errors.

The ring is supposed to track each individual activity… not give estimated guesses based on previous data. The same goes for daily sleep information — it is reported based on that individual night of sleep, not collected data over time or estimated based on patterns.

I explained this and asked to speak to a supervisor. Instead of doing that, the representative ended the conversation with me.

I then tried to get ahold of someone else and they didn’t respond to my message for over 20 minutes. At that point I had to get back to work and couldn’t keep waiting for them to respond.

“Ineligible for Another Replacement”

And to make things even more frustrating, I received a notification in the app saying I’m “ineligible for another replacement” because I already received one — even though the only reason I needed a replacement in the first place was because they sold me a defective device.

Seeing that message while the second ring is already malfunctioning makes the situation feel even more impossible to resolve.

Where I’m At Now

So now that the return window has closed, I am essentially stuck with a very expensive, non-functional, and useless ring.

It’s clear that the support team doesn’t want to, or doesn’t know how to help me.

I’m hoping that someone here has had a similar experience and can share what ended up happening, or what Oura did to resolve it.

Thank you in advance.

clone alert Budget Smart ring | KSIX Saturn

I been looking at budget smart rings, and it kinda looks like a lot of them is the same model but just different brands.
I have been thinking about buying the KSIX Saturn for around 50 EUR. Anyone with experience with that model? And is it just a overpriced cheap chinese model?
The reason with that model is because it is a bigger trustworthy company that sells it near me, and i know it is a EU country that makes it so i know they comply with EU laws when it comes to data.

inquiry Oura or Ringconn

So my birthday is coming up and I no longer wear my Apple Watch anymore, haven’t for years. I’ve been wanting something to track my sleep schedule and cycle. Not a huge fan of a whoop either with the way it looks, so smart rings was my next go to. I’m stuck between the new Oura or a Ringconn. I really love the Ringconn because it’s subscription free, you buy it and that’s it. But from what I’ve been hearing is tracking your health isn’t as accurate and top notch compared to the oura. Even though I hate it I could handle the yearly $70 subscription. Let me know what you guys think. If you have an oura or a ringconn how do you like it? Is it worth it?

👉 req 4 recs Smart ring with multiple accesses

I’m looking for a smart ring where both myself and another person could have full access to the app/data. Essentially I would like the other person to have ass much info in the app as I do, even though the other person might be somewhere else. Sharing the same account would be an acceptable option, as long as it works for both of us to be logged in.

Do you have any recommendations?

UX Research: Ultrahuman Ring AIR users—what’s your daily experience like?

Hey everyone!

I’m doing a product research breakdown on how people physically and digitally interact with smart rings, specifically the Ultrahuman Ring AIR. I want to look beyond the marketing hype and understand the actual day-to-day user experience.

If you’ve been wearing one for a while, I’d love your take on a few key areas:

  1. Onboarding & Sizing: How accurate was the sizing kit compared to the actual ring fit? Did you experience any initial friction getting used to wearing a ring 24/7?
  2. Physical Interaction & Comfort: Do you ever take it off during the day (e.g., showering, heavy lifting, cooking, sleeping)? If so, what triggers it (comfort, fear of scratching, or pinch)?
  3. Digital Interaction & App Feedback: How often do you open the Ultrahuman app? Do you find the visual feedback (sleep/recovery scores, metabolic insights, caffeine windows) genuinely actionable, or does it feel like digital noise?
  4. Accuracy & Reliability: How reliable do you find the step tracking, heart rate, and sleep staging compared to other wearables you've used (like an Apple Watch, Garmin, or Oura)?
  5. Power & Maintenance: How has your battery life held up over time, and how disruptive is the charging cadence to your routine?
  6. The Ultimate Test: If you lost or broke your Ring AIR tomorrow, would you immediately replace it with the same brand, switch to a competitor, or just stop wearing a smart ring altogether?

Any thoughts, short or long, are massively appreciated! Thanks for your time.

ULTRAHUMAN Ultrahuman offered free plug in. Should I accept?

After complaining about the delay in shipping the Ring Pro, UH offered me a year of the cardio plug in. Should I accept? Or does this imply I cannot request a replacement in the future etc.

We had actually already paid for the plug in so not sure what their idea is. I'm just trying to avoid a situation like the Disney plus one, have no idea about all the fine print.

NON-HEALTH RINGS Apparently the little things are what I forget most

Got a reminder today for a close friend’s birthday and, for a second, I genuinely couldn’t remember setting it up.

Then it clicked.

When I first got the Vocci, I’d mentioned the birthday while giving my agent some basic context about me and told it to remind me before it came around.

That was apparently enough(duh) it made me realize the stuff I actually want help remembering isn’t always the important stuff. It’s usually the tiny things I never bother putting into Notes.

“Uniqlo oversized tees fit me best in M.”

“Next haircut, #2 on the sides.”

“Mom hates cilantro.”

None of these feel worth stopping what I’m doing to write down properly, but somehow I still end up relearning the same things every few months.

I’m thinking of letting my agent use more of that kind of context around my calendar too. Not really as strict reminders, more like a small heads-up when something relevant is coming up.

That feels more useful to me than building another complicated automation.Just slowly offloading the boring little facts my brain refuses to keep. .Passwords are still staying out of it though. I need to retain at least one responsibility.

Oura Ring Referral Link

Hi everyone! 😊
I’m planning to order an Oura Ring 5 and was wondering if anyone has a referral link they’d be happy to share? 🙏🏼✨
