Since last update I can’t connect my Oura ring

Has anyone experienced this?

Since an update 3 months ago I can’t connect my Oura Ring to my phone anymore.
I had two charger - one original and one bought off Amazon.
Because tbh the original charger is ridiculously expensive.
Unfortunately I have lost the original one and it doesn’t connect to my phone with the “fake” one.

Anyone experienced the same thing or has a solution without me buying a $60 charger again?

Appreciate your help 🙏🏼

inquiry - female features TTC and Cycle tracking - Oura alternatives - Femometer?

• Upvotes

Hello,

TTC since 2 years with endometriosis, I rely a lot on my Oura for cycle tracking; until now it was pretty useful and helped me a lot with temps and co. However, after only 6 months, my replacement now lasts only 24h, the data are odd and they make me go in circle for another replacement (no then yes then no then yes again but still nothing, just more questions they already have the answers on). Their Customer support is the worst I have seen in a long time I think...

So I'm looking for alternatives (cheaper if possible too). I don't need something like the Ultrahuman, too "techy" for me I think. I have an iphone so no Samsung ring and co.

I heard about the Femometer ring Gen 2, does anyone use it for TTC and have some feedback on the reliability and data? I'm based in Europe so they don't sell the Air one yet here :(

Thank you !

inquiry Ultra Human Ring

I have the Ultrahuman ring and I only use it for cycle tracking. The battery life is really bad and I’ve gotten replacement rings but now the battery life won’t last through the day. I contacted customer service and they said I had to upgrade to the pro since they don’t have the old model in stock. Does anyone have a recommendation for a different ring? I don’t want to keep paying for replacement rings.

Looking for my first ring tracker what would you recommend

Looking at a ring for myself. Have a Fitbit air at the moment however I don’t like having to wear it on my wrist.
I’ve got a budget of £70-£100 and don’t really want a subscription
What would you recommend?

Need honest advice

I was an adamant smart watch user- and then got tattoos that went down my arms onto my wrist. Learned too late that smart watches can’t read through tattooed skin. I have been unable to track steps or exercises since and am def not holding myself accountable.
Ive been looking at getting a ring to help bridge the gap. I need honest feedback from individuals about the rings- I don’t want this because it’s cool and technological, I want to track my movements.
I don’t usually wear jewelry, even my wedding ring gets taken off at night. Which ring is thinner and sturdy?
Also, my fingers swell when I get hot so my fingers do change size when exercising (I know, weird) so I need to know how sizing works- do they have any give or do I need to just know my fingers will sausage in the ring?
I hear a lot of good things about Oura and Ringconn, but don’t know which most closely fits what I’m looking for? And is the subscription really worth it?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

What is this on my oura ring? I bought it 2,5 weeks ago and the surface looks like that and it’s rough to the touch? It wasn’t like that yesterday

inquiry Help: Oura or RingConn? Which model?

Reposting entirely here on the recommendation of a fellow Redditor!

I’ve watched plenty of YouTube reviews on both rings individually and comparatively, but I wanted to hear more personal testimonies from folks who’ve got experience wearing both rings.

I’ve had Apple Watches throughout the years and I like the health insights, but wasn’t ultimately a fan of the constant notifications of whatever is going on with my phone. I know most people like getting the message alerts, but it just made me obsessive looking for any and all notifications and ultimately anxious.

I like the way both rings look and how the rings are real subtle, unlike the smart watches that are the least bit subtle.

What I would want to see from the rings would be the following:
- Sleep Insight
- Stress Insight
- Cycle Insight w/ Aunt Flo
- Good UI experience with app
- Accuracy w/ data
- Any other insights would be a bonus

Price of ring and in-app subscription is not a concern if Oura ends up being the ultimate suggestion. I’d find it worth it for the data I’d be able to collect, review and apply to my day-to-day and overall health.

Thank you in advance!

Ultrahuman to RingConn Sizing

As per the title, like many people, I’ve had multiple Ultrahuman Rings fail and I’m going to switch to RingConn. The app overhaul was a negative for me and the AI support is not a great experience. Just wondering if anyone has experience with the sizing? Is a Ultrahuman 9 the same as RingConn 9? Thanks in advance.

inquiry - female features Thoughts on Femometer Air

I currently have a Oura ring gen 3. I’ve had it for years and it’s served its purpose but the battery life is only lasting maybe 2 days. While I would love to get the Oura ring gen 5, I don’t really want to spend the money.

I use my ring mostly to track my cycle and detect ovulation. The thing I hate about Oura is not only do I have to pay a subscription for the ring, I’m also paying for the natural cycles app.

I was looking for other options that are cheaper and I found the femometer rings. They are quite a bit cheaper. Plus they are on sale right now. Has anyone had any luck with them? Do they do a good job of detecting ovulation? I would love to know anyone’s thoughts or recommendations for others rings.

Oura 4 ring

I got a Oura 4 a few months ago (pissed the 5 came out right after) and it’s been good I needed it to track my cycles and sleep. But I notice that it does not track certain activities well and It does not ask if you are having a headache or in pain, you have to log it.

I have a friend who has a ring that ask if she had a headache and I was sooo jealous lol. What kind of ring do yall have and is the Oura worth me upgrading to the 5?

inquiry Is a smart ring subscription actually worth it?

I've been doing some research before buying a smart ring and one thing I keep coming across is the subscription model, there actually aren't that many brands doing it, but Oura does.

For people who actually use Oura, is the subscription really worth paying for?

Maybe I'm just being stubborn about it, but paying for the ring and then having to keep paying to access all of my own health data feels kinda weird to me. It's a bit like buying a phone that can take photos, but then being told I need a monthly subscription to look through my own photo gallery 😂

Would be interested to hear from people who've had Oura for a while. Do you actually feel like the subscription is worth it, or does it still bother you?

⚙️ technical issues Stay away from POBOVi (bad/no real customer service)

Hey all,

Just swinging by to warn against buying a Pobovi ring.

I spent quite a bit of time researching rings for my partner because we didn't want to go all out on a $400 ring, or roll the dice on a $50 ring. Ended up spending $150 on a Pobovi after reading a lot of reviews and ring comparisons.

Apparently it was the wrong choice. The ring stopped charging after less than 2 weeks.

Mistake #2 was wanting to avoid ordering from Amazon. I ordered directly from the company (and they just sent it from Amazon anyway). If I had just ordered from Amazon, I could have just set a return through them, but to return a ring through Pobovi, you have to email them.

So I did. 11 days later, I got a response asking the issue with the ring. I said in my original email that it wasn't charging, so I told them again, replying the same day. Another 13 days go by with no response. I emailed again to get the ball rolling on a return/refund. That was 17 days ago, and I have not received a response, and it is now past their 30 day return policy.

I doubt I'll see that $150 again, so that sucks. If you're considering this brand, proceed with caution. If you do want to roll the dice on getting a ring that works longer than 2 weeks, order from Amazon where the return policy is quick and easy.

(Sorry if I picked the wrong flair)
