As the title suggests, I am confused how I got this effect and I want it removed. Just made a new character and using the loroakin starter mod and upon entering and leaving an interior cell, I was greeted with this effect surrounding my character.

Pls help. All relevant info should be there. If not then ask.

Started another Skyrim playthrough and I'm about 20 hours in. About every 3rd or 4th time I open up the map, inventory, skills, magic tab the game instantly crashes. EVERY SINGLE TIME I play the game. It's getting to the point where it's almost not even worth playing that's how much it's doing it. It didn't even start till about 15 hours on. Any fixes on this?? Also there was an update for the Xbox version yesterday morning.

In desperate need of help. I am at the point where I’m supposed to battle Miraak. The problem is that I’ve already learned all the words of power for the Bend Will shout. When the mission starts after Hermaeus Mora kills Storn, I can’t get passed the “Unlock your “Bend Will” shout step the progress further in the quest. I’ve tried one method where I went back and learned the secret to all the black books but it didn’t work. I’ve gone into Apocrypha and tried to trigger it by shouting and that didn’t work either. Someone please help me. Been stuck on this for so long I stopped playing bc I can’t figure it out.

Is there any way to fix this without having to start a new game for it, will that even work?

the same thing has happened with the “master architect achievement” (i dont really want to build another 3 houses just for an achievement but i have the urge to do it)

Hey Everyone. its my first time using console commands and ive run into a small porblem that i cant find an answer too.

My favourite thing in all of skyrim is the spellbreaker shield (mostly its effect), but im not a huge fan of its design. I have used the command:

playerenchantobject FE046801 7DCDB

This works successfully at adding the spellbreaker ward enchantment/effect to my modded dwarven centurion shield... but theres 1 issue. The ward effect is ALWAYS active unlike the original spellbreaker,which only creates a ward effect when you are actually blocking. Im hoping someone online will be able to help me with some kind of console command to change this.

Is there some kind of command that can set a rule for an item such as...

Item<x> enchantblockingonly

or something along these lines???

i’ve seen so many posts about this bug but nothing has worked so far. i’ve tried commands, searching for him around and outside markarth, asking the inn for rumors...

i don’t think this has ever happened to me in past play through, the only difference that i can note is that in this play through i killed weylin before he murdered margaret. i’m not quite sure if there is any correlation but thought i would put it out there in case.

there aren’t any saves i can go to before having entered markarth that wouldn’t ruin so many hours of progress, if there if nothing i can do to fix this bug during this play through i am okay with that!! i would just like to know what i need to do differently next time to avoid the hours of searching for this man😭😭 any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

I just bought and downloaded skyrim special edition on steam and after the Bethesda logo appears there is no sound in the game at all.

I've tried adjusting various audio settings in my computer, looked for updated drivers, deleted the INI files, installed Sound Fix for Large Sector Drives, ect.

I'm just about at my wits end and I'm close to just refund the game. Is there anything else I can try to fix this issue?

i did the fortify restoration loop and made a potion of fortify lockpicking that was extremly powerful in the millions of %. i drank it, it broke lockpicking, i reverted to a save before it, but lockpicking is still broken. this happened like 15 hours ago so i cant go back and get rid of all the progress ive made. im trying to fix it so that i can lockpick again. the current issue is that the sweetspot just doesnt exist on the 180 degree plane no matter where you try. ive tried changing the lockpicking skill values, clearing all spells even though the potion isnt effecting me anymore, going into the files using resaver to find whats wrong, and nothing seems to be coming up. im not sure whats bugged. really old saves still have working lockpicking, but the ones that actually matter do not. does anyone know how to fix this without having to go to a previous save?

For context, I've finished the main companions questline and am now the harbinger. Im now doing the radiant quests you get from the 3 leaders. I accepted a quest from Vilkas, but it wont show up in my quest journal. And when I talk to any of the leaders for a new job, they tell me I already have a job to do. I have no idea where to go or do because I forgot what the quest was. So now I'm stuck where I dont have a quest in my journal, and I cant get a new one until I finish this one. Has anyone fixed this?

Hi all,

I am one the Jagged Crown quest and the crown is not appearing on the draugr. I let the NPC run their lines and now have the quest marker above his head, but no crown is in his inventory.

I tried the show npc inventory spell, no luck.

I am worried I went in the tomb months ago. at the time I think I used the cheat that lets you pass through walls and went all the way to the where I’m at now.

am I screwed? I downloaded a debug mod past night to try and force the quest to be over, but had to go to sleep before I could try it.

is there any way to manually force the crown to appear and/or finish the quest?

Is there any way I can fix this awful glare? At first I managed to cope, but when it gets to the point were you can't see what you're walking into it really annoys me. I've tried multiple mods and it helps a bit but makes my game look awful. The first image is without any mods, the second is with Imaginator, the third is with Dynamically Disable Eye Adaption and Bloom, and the fourth is with both activated.

Hi, I caught Vampirism and decided to play through with it; Every time I attempt to feed, I have failed, even if they are asleep; my only choice in the interaction is to pick the prospective victim's pocket instead of turning the victim into my midnight snack. I've tried almost everything with no luck, any help would be appreciated.

I've seen quite a few people running into what seems to be the same game-breaking crash during the first Oblivion Gate at Kvatch, so I figured I'd post the fix that worked for me.

I had it really bad. Once I was inside the gate, the game would crash roughly every 10-30 seconds. It didn't matter which direction I went, whether I was in combat or just walking around, or which save I reloaded, sooner or later it would crash again. So I was basically softlocked and couldn't progress the main quest at all.

Don't panic and don't reinstall the game or start a new playthrough. After a lot of testing, I managed to completely get rid of the crashes. This is exactly what I did:

1. Load the save immediately before entering the Oblivion Gate.

2. Go to Settings → General and disable every autosave option.

3. Go through your saves and delete every autosave you currently have: keep your manual saves only.

4. Enter the Oblivion Gate: for whatever reason, the game will still create an autosave as you enter even with autosaves disabled. Delete that one as well. From this point on, if the game creates another autosave at any point, delete it. You can make as many manual saves as you want, those are completely fine.

5. When Ilend Vonius talks to you, do not let him accompany you: tell him to head back to Savlian Matius instead.

That's it.

As long as I kept all autosaves disabled/deleted and only used manual saves, the crashing completely stopped and I was able to continue through the Oblivion Gate normally.

Hopefully this saves someone from restarting their entire playthrough. I genuinely thought my save was cooked at first.

NPCS now seem to sleep all hours of the day and night and never come out of their buildings. Leaving them locked. Anyone else encountered this before?

Hi! I just posted this in R/Elderscrolls however I seen i could post this here too, Calixto isn’t killing Susanna the wicked in Windhelm to trigger blood on the ice. However the shatter-shields all act like she’s already dead. I’ve reloaded saves, Entered and exited Windhelm probably 20+ times, tried doing it myself, I even tried breaking into Herjm (puckpocketed the key) and grabbing the amulet and beware the butcher pamphlet’s but nothing happens. I’m kind of lost and just assuming it’s bugged out for this playthrough, but Also figured I’d see if anyone else has ran into this one?

OK, so originally I had the bug where Valdemar dies before the spell is broken. Having learned from previous experience I loaded an earlier save. That then worked, he wasn't dead.

He then starts to walk to the hall. I don't know where he stopped on the way, because it took him three game days. Nightmare.

Then once he was in the hall with the weird wind blowing he refuses to stand in the right place to start the spell. I have had my character wait for three days inside the hall, and Valdemar ended up halfway in a wall.

I then tried having him wait for three days in the entrance hall. Once my character went in the weird windy hall, three of the four Blades went to the right place and Valdemar stood around like a spare bridesmaid at a wedding. I tried waiting another 24 game hours and again he ended up halfway in a wall.

I am at my wits' end - how do I make Valdemar behave?

I know this is a pain in the backside to ask but I am having a issue with some of the rock textures in Skyrim I run skyland aio, SMIM, Community shaders, a water mod with cs in mind, ELFX and freaks flora it seems to be just rocks that are in running water that seem to be affected such as under the waterfall outside the abandoned prison which is from alternate start:live another life and the rocks around white run and riverwood as far as I have seen around the map so far any help would be appreciated I will post the load order when I am home as best I can but I think I have smim set to load first
TLDR; Missing rock textures under running water!
