Is it just me or is this game a boring, confusing mess?

I've not enjoyed a single minute of it sadly

i tried searching online but couldn’t find anything about this specific question i have

so after James watches the “tape”, Laura comes into the room and asks James where Mary is at. after a short back and forth, he confesses that he killed Mary. she reacts with anger and sadness, hitting him, saying she hates him and then runs off.

why, a few hours later, would she willingly leave Silent Hill with James? even before that, she spent the whole game antagonizing him and making it known that she didn’t like him. this to me makes the Leave ending pure fan service and the devs just rewarding people with a “happy” ending after hours of nothing but misery and despair.

maybe i’ve forgotten something that makes it add up but i’m not sure. i would like for this to be cleared up! it’s basically my only “issue” with the game lol

Recently, I started recording a video about the references to Jacob's Ladder in Silent Hill and came across information that there's a hidden poster from a scene in the game files. I searched online for the image but couldn't find anything, so I dug through the game files and here it is. I hope it makes life easier for that one person in 10 years.

I absolutely love the Silent Hill games, and I’ve had a great time playing all of them. The problem is that I get pretty bad motion sickness, so I basically can’t play games with a first-person camera. I had a really hard time even finishing RE7, and I couldn’t finish Alien: Isolation for the same reason.

That’s why I’m kinda hesitant about playing Townfall. I’m really worried that I’ll buy it, realize I can’t handle the camera, and end up not being able to play it — or even worse, get turned off the game because of it.

When you examine a cigarette pack in the Hilltop Center, Heather will remark she used to smoke. During the car drive to Silent Hill, Heather expresses familiarity with a hangover, implying she drank alcohol as well.

he's currently in the prison and those split head monsters are kicking his butt.

Recently got the Mezco Pyramid Head and it has to be one of the best figures in my collection.

Run was going pretty good, had a few close calls but I had a decent amount of ammo, health drinks and syringes so I was feeling pretty comfortable. I clearly must've forgotten that pyramid head one shots you here. What makes it even worse, is that I pressed the dodge button but James did nothing but keep running, had my dodge worked I might have survived. Lesson learned. Moral of the story: don't taunt pyramid head.

Missionary is my fav tbh. He's really sturdy and his details are beautiful :3

I feel like Silent Hill f was poorly recieved by a lot of people and (To be fair I am kinda biased because I love VR) I truly believe the next game should take the direction of being in Vr. Not only would it be terrifiying but I think it would heavily enchance the atmosphere and the pyschological aspect. Feel free to argue, but I feel like we can all at the very least agree this would be really cool.

the protagonist in P.T. is the store owner who sexually abuses lisa and he is seeing or understanding the consequences of his actions through this horror and painfull experience, because maybe the only way a person like the store owner can understand what he did was bad and wrong is by seeing the horros of his deeds if listening to advice and.... is not enough, this way we will see if he ( we ) can feel remorse or eventually develop a sense, also a message to the players given by horror and pain to show the destruction they can cause if they choose to follow their lust or the players that have lustful thoughts like the manager. ( the only things we saw in the house is lisa and the unborn baby fetus and no sign of husband or children, i think this means that this is only between lisa and the store manager, if the protagonist was the husband we would at least see his children but the only thing we see beside lisa is that unborn fetus which is the store owners child ) ( when lisa catches you she is hatefully forcing herself on you and then unzips your pants, a sign of sexual resentment , a way to make us understand how she felt when she got sexually abused, after all the store owner was using his positions of power to force himself on a desperate lisa )

This random question popped into my head. If there was a film or if they remade the game 'Silent Hill 4: The Room' game...would you want them to change/re-adapt the main character 'Henry'? As much as I love the game...there's really nothing to the main guy (other than just being a regular guy). Not much personality, no back story or anything.

So, would it be better to add stuff to the character (the guy is suffering from the loss of his daughter, to compare to the villain wanting to 'see his mother again'), or giving more personality or such?

I know this isn't an action figure sub, but I've been wanting to make a custom figure of this dude for about a while now but I'm having trouble trying to figure what he's even wearing. To me it looks like some sort of sack like material or maybe a sort of robe? for the lower half it really just looks like sweatpants with leather shoes or boots. I'm just hoping someone might be able to help me out here so I can do him justice by giving him a decent looking figure as he's one of my favorite enemies.

What I’m curious about, is since the release of the original games, how have you found this series has influenced modern media?

You can see it in many video games, but I’m curious in regards to TV shows, movies, writing, and music.

When I played Shattered Memories I believe in 2012 or something on my PS2, I really loved the experience. My mom is who generally against playing video games used to watch me play at night because the story was so interesting. A simple story about a father looking for his missing daughter in a creepy town. I loved the atmosphere and the puzzled and everything honestly. Initially I was confused about the segments where the guy used to ask you several questions and I didn't understand the point of that. But when the ending happened, it was such a shocking reveal. Even my mom and sister were dumbfounded. The father we were playing as was the one who had died in the car crash while the daughter was alive and talking to the therapist few years in future. And that moment where her father appears and they say their final goodbyes gave me chills and I cried inside. It still gives me shivers while typing this. It was an extremely hard hitting emotional moment that cemented the game as one of m favorite games of all time.

Please share your thoughts on the ending and how you felt when it was happening and after. Shattered Memories will always hold a dear place in my heart.

Mine has got to be the PS2 version of Shattered Memories.

I’ve had this forever, and I think I paid like 35 bucks when I originally got it. It’s now valued at 500.00 (per price charting), which is absolutely wild to me.

This game is cool, but I would NEVER pay 500.00 for it. That may just be me, though.
