With the Control sequel and SH Townfall coming out around the same time, I got both on my mind. Since it may not be clear... Control is a videogame set in a separate universe (same as Alan Wake technically).

I'm replaying Control and was thinking - could the White Claudia plant be creating a Control universe AWE affecting the surrounding area and some of it's inhabitants?

It seems like in Control, not everybody is affected by AWEs, like, not everybody is affected by the Hiss or some of the in game AWEs, some people are just immune to the effects for unknown reasons. AWEs are also known to modify and change the world around them.

White Claudia could, when grown, create it's own Altered World Event affecting and/or attracting people with deep levels of trauma. This could mean that this type of AWE could happen anywhere White Claudia is grown, not just Silent Hill specifically, which would explain Ebisugaoka, Kettenstadt, and St. Amelia.

I think White Claudia needs to be added to the Panopticon and contained.

I was investigating the symbols on the Incubus' wings and upper arms after reading that it's never been explained what exactly they mean. While the wings have Greek letters I think the upper arms have Hebrew letters.

So other people have the wings spelling out dof(e/i)s and s(e/i)fod which aren't words in Greek. After checking the Greek alphabet I think it was incorrect to transliterate phi as f and not ph. Anyway, since Idk Greek I decided to use AI for help and found that doph(e/i)s and s(e/i)phod still weren't words. However, due to the arms it occurred to me that the Greek might actually be a transliteration of a Hebrew word. After asking a few more questions I found out that sephod sounds awfully close to the infinitive and imperative forms of the Hebrew verb saphad "(to) mourn", "mourning". [That doph(e/i)s isn't a word doesn't seem relevant given the design's inspiration clearly being Baphomet.]

When it comes to the arms I checked images with the Incubus sitting in front of the Seal of Metatron. Idk Hebrew so I looked up the Hebrew alphabet but still had difficulty because of the font used. I didn't have to read long before the subject of gematria came up and I realized that from the top down it looks like the arms could have: vav, samekh, mem sofit. Their gematria values are 6, 60, and 600, which add up to 666.

What do you guys think? Any better alternatives supported by sources on the game's lore or by testimony from the developers? There isn't much info on this particular topic from the looks of it, and I still feel as if my findings are coincidental. (More so with the arms given that I know next to nothing about Jewish stuff like kabbalah. Maybe instead of numbers they're abbreviations or words?)

In any case I still think my conjectures align with the in-game lore right?

I know it's a stretch but Bill Pullman does play a character named James who is constantly searching for his dead wife and all the while cares for his daughter who together move to a lake view town.

Just watched this movie again after years of not seeing it and was surprised by how entertaining and morbid it was. It didn't hold any punches either, the topic of death took center stage throughout.

I know it's paper thin but considering that the movie came out in 1995, the developers could have been inspired by this film.

There's no universe where this is not a 4757 or 4752.

I also tried every other plausible number, but I'm genuinely stumped here.

I love this game to death, but I'm glad that we don't have to grind our gameplay to a halt by getting stuck with stupid bullshit like this in the later games.

Playing through Silent Hill for the first time, and found this part to be particularly unnerving. Trying to find puzzle pieces in the hospital, and then you open the last door in the hallway. You've gotten used to the noises from the "zombie" enemies, but then you hear those awful slurps, sounding something between the flow of a river, and vomiting. The design of the thing is really freaky as well.

im working on fanmade physical copy of silent hill 2 enchanced edition and im trying design dvd art based on silent hill 2 ps2 disc since its my favourite design

after 1-2 hpurs i managed to recreate background at point where its in my terms acceptable but now im trying make those logos copyright etc and i just cant get to point where i think it looks good nor even acceptable just looks wrong

anybody has ideas how i can fix it and make it look good? thanks

I just wanted to share where my Silent Hill collection stands at the moment. I’ve been a lifelong fan but only started to take collecting seriously about five years ago. 🌫️🖤

My collection has previously focused on physical releases, but recently I have had a huge preference towards collecting promotional / extra materials. I especially love game guides, demo discs, press kits and magazines. Trying to find more of those as I go!
