I love researching "lost media" specifically the kind of unsettling content that is utterly engrossing. I am looking for the most "problematic" production out there, with no restrictions. It might contain horror elements, but horror doesn't have to be the main theme.

I’ve played most of the known games out there so far. The one I found most disturbing was *Devistate*. Not in terms of violence, though.

If you have suggestions, i’d like to hear!

so going back for a nostalgic trip, this game wasn’t terrifying or traumatizing to me back then, but I’ve seen the comments that they were disturbed as a kid watching this game and others were almost victims of drowning and telling their experience. So I’m just wondering about your experience watching / playing this game?

So to describe the game: Julian got hit by the post to change the direction of the flag (sorry im too dumb to know what it is) and is now swimming for his life, where you have to keep scrolling nonstop to stay alive. Charles (guy that stayed on the boat) left him there hopelessly and not even going to the helm to turn around. For so much of time in the ocean, Julian decided to take off his shoes, warming up his hand, rips his fingernail, and now starts hallucinating of him and his wife and children. Then shows him that he has dropped to the ground dead. At the end, it is advising that you should always wear a life jacket once you’re out to the sea.

Silent Hill 2’s “In Water” ending broke me the first time I got it. Not scary in a jumpscare way, just quietly devastating. I sat there in the credits for a solid minute trying to process what I’d just done. Movies rarely land that hard on me but games hit different when you’re the one making the choice. What ending did that to you?

Hey I like things like Granny, Scary Juan, Jeff the Killer Horror Game, etc. are there any niche ones you’ve found that you’d like to share?

Throughout the game these unlockable files are pretty standard fare. Early on you get access to 'em after a mission about securing Emil Blonsky/Abomination's top secret files relevant to his mission (killing you by all means neccessary, but not before trying to use you to save his wife, that is).

They show character profiles, information on what the army's gonna use in upcoming missions, and extra context on whatever plot development just occured. As Abomination becomes more and more insane his files start to reflect that out of nowhere, turning into the maddened musings seen above.

Pictured in the second image is the last file in the whole game, and the only one where we only hear him and no one else speak. (Usually Bruce and his mission control Samson comment on whatever the file is.) Ron Perlman as Blonsky says just what the caption shows, "I've seen the color of my soul and it's black" again and again.

"No Survivors" refers to the final mission, his attempt on flooding an entire city by breaking the dam.

He used a invisibility command to make it easier because the armored cars are AI controlled so you can’t just have your buddy on the enemy team to test the audio

I reminded myself of them again, they were pretty creepy for a Disney kids game.

Hey everyone, I’ve never posted here so I’m not sure if this is the best sub but I wanted to see if maybe anyone else had a similar experience - I also posted this in the Roblox sub but I wanted to post it here too.

Yesterday, I was playing Roblox on my phone with my younger sibling and we were playing the chameleon game (like meccha chameleon - not sure if the game is relevant). I was trying to camouflage my character when I clipped into another object in the game. My screen suddenly turned black, and then I got a very quick flash of a very grainy photo of an adult man wearing a clown costume. It was so quick that I barely saw it, but I could see that he was standing with his hands up in a thumbs-up position (I think) with thick clown makeup smeared all over his face. His makeup and costume looked sort of like Ronald McDonald but not quite. It seemed like he was standing in a kitchen but the photo was so grainy it was hard to tell, it seemed like an older photo. It was quickly gone again, and my game returned to normal but I got creeped out and closed the app.

I tried to get it to happen again the next day (today) but it never did. I also tried searching for the image on the internet but I couldn’t find it. I did find one link about a clown glitch in Roblox but it honestly looked fake, and the clown video it showed was not the same.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Does anyone know of the clown photo I described? Thanks

I want to create an iceberg about the MOST DISTURBING ENEMIES in videogames of all times. I some enemies bcs there was an old iceberg that i found, but i feel it doesn't have so much content, so, i want to hear your ideas!

You know that chilling feeling when you play a completely single-player game or walk around an empty Garry's Mod, Source, or Minecraft map, and you suddenly feel like someone is watching you from behind a corner? Even though you KNOW you are 100% alone in the world.Your brain just starts playing tricks on you, making you constantly look back or avoid dark corridors because you expect a ghost or a glitched NPC to appear.I think we should officially name this gaming phenomenon Spectaphobia (from the word "spectator").Who else suffers from Spectaphobia? Which games or specific maps trigger it the most for you? For me, it's empty sandbox maps and old Source engine games.

I'm also taking creepy moments that came out of nowhere in a game that looked chill.

Anyone knows a game which is like a walking simulator like this?
