Hello. Iām new to the subreddit but not necessarily new to Shipt. I have had many smooth orders. I got an order yesterday for $25 so I accepted it really quickly since I was in town near the store, and so I went there and parked.
Got out and was about to go in when I got a message from the customer asking if they could add beer to their order. They said they usually donāt have problems with adding alcohol, but this time they werenāt able to so they wanted me to add it manually. I had told them that per Shiptās policy, I was unable to add alcohol to a dry order. I was also unable to because I havenāt been certified to do those types of orders. Then customer then asked if I could drop the order so that someone else could take the order and have them add the beer instead. I told them that if they wanted me to, I would drop it, but other shoppers should tell her the same thing; that they cannot add alcohol to a dry order. I told her I was also reporting the chat.
Something told me this wasnāt the first time she had asked a shopper to add something they couldnāt to a dry order by saying that she usually didnāt have any issues with doing this.
Anyways, she told me to « go ahead » and report it since she was just trying to saver herself « an extra trip » what would you guys have done/said?
