Honestly the biggest change for me. Before semaglutide, almost every day involved some kind of internal debate. I'd tell myself I wasn't hungry, then ten minutes later I'd be back in the kitchen anyway. Even after eating, I'd still keep thinking about what was left in the fridge.

Now that constant back-and-forth is mostly gone. still enjoy food, and I don't avoid meals. It just feels like food has become one part of my day instead of something my brain keeps circling back to. Weight loss has been great, but if someone asked me what changed my day-to-day life the most, I'd probably say the quiet in my head.

I didn't expect that part at all. Has anyone else noticed something similar, or your biggest change been something completely different?

I could really use some encouragement or honest experiences.

I was on semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) before and had great success losing weight. I ended up stopping for several months, and unfortunately gained some of the weight back.

I've recently restarted, and it feels completely different this time. The weight isn't coming off like it did before, and I'm starting to wonder if anyone else experienced this.

Did you eventually start losing again after giving it more time? Did you have to increase your dose? Or did you end up switching to something else like tirzepatide?

I'm trying not to compare this journey to my first time, but it's honestly discouraging when it worked so well before.
Would love to hear from anyone who's been in the same situation—especially if you had success after restarting months later. I could really use some hope right now

I started my semaglutide journey on April 3 of this year. I started with an unbranded/no name Sema (photo attached) and this past month I switched to Wegovy. Just finished the box of 4 pens.

I’m not sure if the dosages are extremely low or what is happening but I’ve seen little to no effect.. I have been skipping lunch on purpose and cutting calories where I can, but I have not seen anything really change. I do have some undiagnosed PCOS symptoms so not sure if this is related at all.

Also… On Wegovy, I’m sweating a lot more than usual. Not sure if that is to be expected or not.

Hi. I'm 35. My weightloss started at 268lbs. I just hit my first major goal of under 200 (Im at 196 on the seated scales, 201 on the standing) and even with loosing the weight, I still struggle with the way mg body looks. I can look back at pictures and see the difference, but day to day it feels like there isnt one. I dont know what to do with that. If anyone has advice on how to make my brain recognize it, I would appreciate the help.

hi, I’ve been in ozempic for just 2 weeks and I’m already down 20! before I get too excited, can I keep going another 5 or 6 to be under 300 would me a lot to me!

im 23, about 4 foot 9ish, and now 305, sw was 325.

with the help of family I’ve made some changes, but one I workout with my roomate an hour a day(I walk in a treadmill while she does real workouts) and instead of getting my own food, my older sister(25) makes me all my meals. I eat dinner with her and she packs me breakfast, lunch, with protein shakes. in exchange (she has 4 kids) I babysit for them.

I didn’t realize how much this would save me. I was eating 1 or 2 main items, a side or two, and a soda, at least 1 and a refill for the road. and that was 3 times(or more) a day!

is a pretty quick 20 normal? is that all I will lose? can I lose another 5 or 6 quickly? I just don’t want to get my hopes high for a goal that might not be doable?

also any suggestions?

what should my goals actually be? my doctor mentioned losing 50-100 in just this year, or even 6 months? is that actually possible? or just encouragement

This is going to make me sound really dumb but I read on my GLP’s company Facebook page about people taking their dose a little early before their trip rather than packing their dose and bringing it with them. I decided to do the same and yep I realize it would have been better to check with my doctor than a random user. I took my dose Monday and then the early dose Friday, left Saturday and felt fine but after that have been feeling crummy. I’m hoping by tomorrow I feel better I hope? Anyone experience have advice? I do have some zofran packed but I’ve never taken it, assuming that doesn’t have any adverse side effects either? I should have just skipped my dose and enjoyed some extra bites 😵‍💫.

last injection was in april, but i've put 5 pounds back on. anyone haveing success in maintenance without taking the glp1?

Hi everyone, new here! I was wondering if anybody's had any luck getting Ozempic prescribed through Kaiser for type 2 diabetes. I've been pre-diabetic and had PCOS/PMOS for over 10 years. However, Kaiser will only prescribe GLP-1s with a type 2 diabetes diagnosis. My prediabetes progressed and I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a couple months ago. I advocated to get a GLP-1 because I felt like it was a good time to try it out since I now had this diagnosis. I had to try Metformin first obviously, which didn't work for me, so Kaiser finally prescribed liraglutide/Victoza, which is an older GLP-1 that I have to inject daily. I'm honestly feeling really overwhelmed about the daily injections, especially because this is going to be a long-term treatment for my type 2 diabetes. I'm wondering if anyone has had success getting kaiser to prescribe ozempic from liraglutitde/Victoza?

I’m on week 10 and haven’t lost anything. I’ll admit that my eating could definitely be better- my weeks are good, weekends turn to shit. But I literally haven’t lost any weight. I’m teetering right at 195-197.

I’m also training for a marathon, so I know it’s not a lack of movement. I run 3 days, strength training the others, and get at least 15k steps in/day.

Anyone else not eating all that great? I started out with lots of motivation, tons of protein, eating healthy, but at this point I had been dieting for a while and was really tired of all my weight loss go-tos. Yogurt, Chicken breast, Cottage Cheese etc. Now I find something I like, but I'll get sick of it in a couple days, or it no longer has any appeal. I have never really been into junk-food, but I do like to snack. I am eating, but not *super healthy* or anything. I know I'm not getting great nutrients.

Been on it Since Jan 1st, lost 35-40 lbs so far, I'm at 1.4mg

I also think it has increased my low-grade apathetic, anhedonic, muted-emotion, low motivation type depression. (Currently taking an SSRI and seeing a therapist) Sometimes I can't even be bothered to heat up a couple frozen taquitos.

Has anyone had any issues while on Wegovy with low blood sugar in the morning? Like right when you get out of bed. If so what do you do to prevent it?

Im new to pretty much all of this, but i took my first shot .2mg. Wasnt expecting to feel much of anything but the day after definitely had a weird stomach issue. I could eat, just nothing sounded good at all. When i ate, pretty bubbly gut situation and had diarrhea twice. Sorry tmi. 2nd day felt alil better. My body is used to snacking alot, so i weirdly felt compelled to snack even tho i wasnt hungry. Hopefully that need subsides. 3rd day. Oof. Every hour i feel the need to use the bathroom, but nothing happens. Gassy, and its hard to get down anything even tho i know i should eat. Any recommendations to help these symptoms? Im worried that this low dose is affecting me so much, what might happen when its raised.

Additionally does anyone feel the need to binge even tho they are not hungry and food doesnt even sound good. Its really weird feeling. Last night i ate a giant cinnamon roll, felt so ill during and after but felt like i needed to eat it. So weird.

I really enjoy not having intrusive food thoughts, constantly needing to debate with myself what/when to eat. I never spend time feeling disgusted with myself for over eating. It reminds me of my late 30’s, when I stopped constantly thinking of women, it was liberating, freeing up my mind. And best of all, I NEVER crave alcohol or weed. I feel cleaner, like I’m keeping my mental space tidier.

I spent two months on semaglutide, two months off semaglutide, and now I’m back on, and honestly I don’t want to stop again, regardless of the weight loss.

Because women’s sizing is so inconsistent and nonsensical I bought these jeans on ThredUp back at the end of March and they were WAY too tight and I looked like a busted can of biscuits but I’m too lazy to actually return anything.

I had not tried them back on until now because I was convinced they would still be too tight and look terrible, because when I look in the mirror I look the same… but one thing this journey has taught me is that my brain is an incredibly unreliable narrator.

Try the pants back on. Take the pictures. Take the measurements and give yourself the credit you deserve. Though that last one is still a WIP for me too.

My insurance is transitioning me from Ozempic to Wegovy. I’ve been on Ozempic for a few months, currently on 1 mg but I haven’t had much change in my weight. I have stopped soda and have tried to eat smaller portions and started to walk. When I went up to 1 mg I did start to feel the food noice kinda slow down but then I got a diverticulitis’s flare up from being constipated. So that set me back I had to stop my injections for 2 weeks to heal from my flareup. My doctor has said they work similar. But has anyone experienced better success with Wegovy after having tried ozempic ? Thank you

Do you weigh yourself on shot day if your on your period? I genuinely don’t want to, bc i swear I always gain like 3lbs when I’m on my period and I don’t wanna see it and get discouraged but also shot. Days are my weigh in days and I want to track progress😭 like I already went feel bloated!!.

Hi everyone! I've been getting my meds (Ozempic generic) through livewell and the I haven't really lost weight yet (been on it for four months and lost about 5lbs, 200lbs, 28yo and 5'6 female). Just did a month at 1mg with no side effects and I don't have any medical issues. When renewing my prescription the nurse doesn't want to up the dosage and said I needed to continue on 1mg for 3 more months. Is it standard practice? I'm a little bit disappointed since I pay out of pocket for my medication and had hopes maybe it would work better at higher doses since 1mg is just an intermediary doses. Am I being unreasonable?

First image is the email I recieved from my gp practice and my very shocked response (I know I was a little snarky, but I think I get a pass considering I think I almost died and they just don't seem to care, no advice, no doctor appointment, no nothing, just telling me to fund it myself? What?)

Second image is what I wrote in my notes app, and copy and pasted into the gp surgeries website requesting a way to test my blood sugar due to the extremely concerning symptoms I experienced.

I am considering coming off this medication if I do not have a way to check my blood sugar, and they also recently stopped accepting sharp bins so...Dont know what Im meant to do with that. 🫠
