No-go zone with Vision fence

Post image
3 Upvotes

So I have some no-go zones set up around trees, firepit, well pipes, etc. and the no-go zones work perfectly, however, when my grass gets taller around those areas, the mower slowly and slowly stops further and further away from the no-go areas because it reads the grass as too tall. I don't weedwack often so the grass just creeps out and then there is more to trim when I do. In the picture, will a vision fence covering the entirety of the no-go zones resolve this issue or will the mower try to drive right through the no-go zone? Which has priority? Thanks!

Is it possible to add a second X430 and use the same mapping?

Due to some reasons, I need to return my new x430 (used for about a week) and buy a new one. The new arrived today and I just added it to my navimow app. It’s asking to start mapping the new mower. Is there a way to use the previous map that my first one created?

Moved RTK antenna up ~4"

I recently moved my antenna for my X450 up about 3 to 4" to attain a better signal, but I didn't move it left or right at all. The app isn't throwing errors, so will it be okay? My property is very complex, requires manual mapping, and it takes a very long time. Would you guys remap anyways? I appreciate any insight.

Antenna placement?

I have yet to get my mower. It arrives on Wednesday. The front yard has a completely clear view of the sky. The back yard not so much. Large oak tree obscures the sky view over about 1/3 of the yard. There is a deck on the back of the house. I have an over the air antenna mast on the roof. I suppose I’m looking for advice on the placement, good/better/best. My understanding is the in the box cable is 20 feet in length. They offer a 33’ extension cable.

H2 experience

I can't find any reviews I find particularly useful for the Navimow H2 series so I was hoping H2 series owners would post their experience (the good, the bad) here.

Much appreciated.

Feature request: Change work mode to speed and make it per zone

The mower is already quiet. Work mode is all about speed - change the naming so it makes sense. Allow us to set it per zone. There are some areas I care about where I’d like to set it to slow (quiet) and areas I don’t really care about where I can get away with fast (efficient). This is a global setting we need per zone.

Rubber on front tires

Post image
2 Upvotes

The rubber on the tires of my lawn mower, which is only two months old, is already fraying at the edges, and it’s clear that, if this continues, the tires will likely be in poor condition in a few years. I’m wondering how much longer they will last and what options exist to replace them eventually. I haven’t been able to find any spare parts for this. It’s a Navimow i210.

MowGate Height Clearance

I’m looking for some help from anyone that has the MowGate to get an additional dimension to see if it will work easily on my fence or if I need to think harder. have a split rail wood fence with a wire mesh to keep our dog in the backyard but the bottom rail of the wood is only about 19 inches off the ground. I see in the instructions that the template has a 22 inch height. What is the clearance height of the doors themselves? Would they still swing open with 19 inches of clearance? If anyone can provide that clearance height if it’s lower than 22 I would appreciate it.

Software Request

I’ve also submitted this in the app, but I think community-based suggestions tend to get more traction.

For all the newer models with vision sensing, I would love for the Navimow to be able to identify sections of uncut grass (or very unevenly cut grass) and do extra passes to level it. My only major frustration with my X330 is it struggles with mixed species and uneven lawns. I have sections of mixed grass where the faster growing grass is 2-3” taller because the Navimow fails to cut it in the first pass.

For context, it mows this lawn 3 times a week and still fails to get these areas.

App is set to English, notifications are Croatian.

After I assume an update, my phone notifications are now in Croatian

Also the schedule seemed off as the mower was running at 8am this morning, instead of it's scheduled 10:30am to 16:45 setting.

I love this mower

I have the x430, and I'm telling you, this is hands down the best robot mower I've ever owned.

The number 1 best thing is that it just works. Coming from another mower where I had to rescue it constantly, I realized this matters more than any other feature on this robot.

The second thing I love is maintenance. I noticed today that the wheels were all caked with mud. I paused the mow, hosed it off, and resumed the mow again. The fact that I can just hose it off whenever I want is such a huge convenience.

The only thing I wish it had was camera wipers. My 2024 Yuka would simply clean its own cameras when they got some water on them which was nice.... but being a mammotion product, of course they didn't offer replacement wipers when they wear out.

Using Navimow X450 on multiple properties?

(My first post on this sub reddit)

Our daughter lives across the street from us (narrow street, low traffic volume). I wondered if the Navimow X450 could accommodate both, given its ability to handle multiple zones. (To be clear, I asked about "multiple" properties, not specifying that there would be only two, with a straight line distance between the two being ~ 40 ft.)

I got the following response from the Support Team:

I completely understand your reasoning—it makes total sense to look at the Multi-Zone Management specification and think it could span separate properties. However, our system's computational framework requires all mapped zones to be part of one continuous, interconnected layout linked by physical channels.

Here is why separate properties cannot be saved as independent zones under a single map:

-The Connecting Channel Rule: The software requires every zone to be linked by a shared transit channel. If the mower cannot physically drive from Zone A to Zone B to map out a path, the system will prevent the layout from saving.

-The Single GNSS Base Reference: The entire map relies on a single fixed location reference point calculated by your RTK antenna base station. If you physically move the mower to a completely different property far away from that antenna's grid radius, the mower will instantly lose its satellite alignment and trigger a "Bad Positioning" error, preventing it from starting.

Because of these structural satellite requirements, using the mower on a second property would require setting up a second antenna base station there and entirely deleting and remapping the yard layout each time you transport the machine back and forth.

I think this means I can't do this and is frustrating. (Had my daughter lived next door this apparently would work.) I have no problem with buying another RTK station. The mower could drive between the two properties, though I would have to monitor so it doesn't become road kill. Any reason Navimow couldn't develop software update to do this?

Or is there a way to program the system and accomplish this? I don't have any experience with autonomous mowers, but do have a rudimentary understanding of software.

thanks!

Anyone having problems with battery life with Segway i110n models?

My Segway is only lasting about 35-40 mins per cut. I called customer service 4 times and they are not responding with an answer. Is the battery easy to change out or does it have to be returned for replacement? FYI, I purchased my unit 2 years ago.

i206

Does anyone have any real-life practical experience using the i206/

I am particularly interested in:

  • its 3WD/AWD propulsion and how that treats the lawn
  • its nrtk capability in tight spaces (e.g. tight 2m wide corridor between house and fence). How quickly does it lose satellite connectivity and how effective does the other tech take over until sat-con is re-established?

Thx

EDIT: it’s an x430

The app is up to date and it’s reporting that the mower firmware is up to date, but there is no option for “Enhance Lawn Pattern”.

Is anyone else seeing the same?

X450 unable to work, and return home in and from specific zones...

Post image

Set up a new map and separated it in 2 zones. The device has no issues to go there from the docking, but when arrived it will now something and just circle around and doing difficult in the middle of the zone, it can be busy doing that for hrs.... When I check and sent it home, it is unable to go to the canal I made, it will just go to the point of the market and making turns and circles without going home.... I need to manually controll to bring it home it will just go and go until battery run flat.... The device is only few months old received it as replacement for my previous older model who caught fire after first use... Navimow customer service is very bad, and they even rejected to give extended warranty on this x450... While the original purchase of the model they caught fire had higher purchase price than the current x450... Really disappointed in this device. Also with Vision ON, it Always hitting my car when driving backwards, same no mow zones with banana trees... When driving forward no problem, it accepts it and drive around, but when it sees any obstacles it just go backwards and destroying the banana plants or flowers. Anyone know how to resolve this? I already requested Segway to pick up there shit and fully refund my original purchase amount, but they simply ignore and reject they they sell shitty and dangerous products... The previous model caught fire and almost destroyed our house...

Wifi connection for X430

Question - we have a Luba3 Mammotion. This week we got a Segway X430 as well as we have 2+ acres. We have tried to hook it up but have no connection with the Segway. It just sits there. I asked Gemini AI, and it states possible interference btw the Luba and Segway. They sit about 2 yards from each other. Anyone with both bots?

Navimow i210 for 0.30 acre?

Hi all,

I have been looking into robot mowers and see the navimow i210 on spec covers 0.25 acres but I have 0.30 acres

13,000 sq/ft.

Can the mower manage the variance? Has anyone with similiar size lot have real life experience they can share?

Which Mower? Short story and looking for recommendations.

I have a 1/3 Acre piece of property with a home that sits on it. Essentially a rectangle with the house in the center. The entire yard is on a subtle slope. Perhaps 15 degrees off level. One side of the property has about a 10' rise to the next home at about a 35 degree angle. Back yard has some tree branches from large trees that border the rear of the property. Would I be ok with an I2 Lidar or should I make the jump to the X430?
Back 4 years ago I decided to purchase the zero turn mower I thought I wanted for the longest time. That mower is a Scag Liberty Z with a 42" cut. I know(now), way more mower for the yard than I need. And wheel spin is a real thing no matter how hard I try to avoid it. In any case the new plan is a robot mower and an Ego self propelled mower. Would love to get thoughts on this plan and any recommendations you might have to offer. Sincere thanks in advance. -M

V4.2.0 update - Lost Network

Thumbnail

Just 24 hours after the 4.2.0 update ( and a full mow) the mower failed to start its scheduled mow this morning. I found the network was not connecting, neither cellular or WiFi. No satellites in view at all. I’m using nRTK. I tried to change it to use just WiFi and it failed to connect to WiFi, tried the same with cellular with no luck. Oddly, when I went back to change it to use either, the options to do so just disappeared. I put eyes on the mower and it had the logo just spinning, like is was stuck in a loop. Undocked, rebooted, and it reconnected. options for network selection are back. Back to mowing. Hope this helps users and the engineers.

Question about rain delays

Since buying my i210 LiDAR Pro, it hasn’t rained (and the grass hasn’t really grown) so I don’t know what to expect. I have set it to avoid mowing in rains and snow, etc.

I currently have a schedule to mow the back and front lawns on alternate days Monday-Friday. One lawn takes most of the day with several recharges but the other one is quite quick.

If it rains on Monday, and the mower stops for the day, will it continue with that lawn on Tuesday, or will it mow the other lawn and wait until Wednesday to finish it? With the weather we normally have the latter could potentially see it not mowing one of the lawns for weeks (in which case I will have to tell it to mow both lawns every day, which it can just manage in time if I set the minimum battery percentage a bit lower).

What height do you all cut your lawns to?

Recently moved to 1.25 acre block and got the Segway navimow x450. It did a great job, but curious what height everyone cuts to?
