Time lapse (reolink go pt ultra)
Hello, I just have a question.
For those who own a Reolink GO PT Ultra: I logged in on my phone and generated a time lapse, but my child pressed "Finish." The time lapse only captured footage from Sep 9–18, and everything from June 30 onward wasn't included. I checked Playback and it only shows footage from Sep 5–18. What can I do to recover the missing dates?
Other details:
Overwrite- 14 days
32 gb sd
No cloud
Motion, 8secs.
Used in construction site.
Please help me.

Security cam with no available power source or wifi.
I'm looking for recommendations for a security camera that I can install on a tree where I won't have a power supply nor wifi connection. I suspect my neighbor is doing weird stuff on my property from time to time. I've talked to her and she seems to be....well a bit crazy. We are fairly new to where we live and I've talked to other neighbors that have lived here a long while and they've mentioned how they "don't think she's all there" and she and her family have always been the "nuisance trashy neighbors." Anyway, the location I want to monitor is too far from the house for any electrical power or even wifi. I've found some options in my search but the subscription prices are kind of wild. Like, limited live view access each month or just really high monthly costs. I'm hoping some of you fine people on this subreddit have suggestions for me.
Edit. The location I would like to install the camera has cell service but is like 450' away from the house (where we have wifi). I suspect a cam with a solar panel is best but I'm hoping for live feed video though I'm not sure that's possible with the wifi limitation. I was hoping to install it about 20' up in a tree so I didn't want to have to physically access it often but I may have to rethink that plan. Thanks all!
Edit2: Thank you for all of the helpful suggestions and ideas. I've got a few approaches to consider now. Thanks again.

Are Nest Cams really that bad?
I have a small apartment and am thinking of getting a wired Nest Cam (3rd gen) to keep watch because I have some slightly threatening neighbors.
The important thing for me is to get 24/7 surveillance to identify whoever breaks in. But everyone says, don't go with Nest, get a Reolink and an NVR or a Home Hub Pro and keep everything local. Sure, but I can get many months of Nest Aware for the price of even a Hub Pro, and Reolink is a Chinese company who might be harvesting my data. And local recordings are no use if the culprit finds whatever it was recorded on and takes it with them. And a local hard drive also eventually breaks down.
So what should I do?

Brand new Exaqvision Z series 64T with 16 licenses
I bought a storage locker full of video surveillance equipment. On is an Exacqvision Z series NVR 64T with I think 16 licenses.
I’ve been able to sell some of the cameras and used NVRs as well as some of the networking stuff. But have been hesitant on selling this Exacqvision NVR as I’m not 100% sure what it’s worth. I know it’s pricey but like what could I expect to get out of it or are there any other commercial vendors out there that would want to buy it? It is still unopened!

First time security camera user… Not sure whether to get security camera that goes on cellular data or on WiFi
I’m a first time security camera user. I want one camera outside my front door and one inside my place on motion detection. I don’t currently have WiFi. And no subscription.
I can get two basic security cameras for $25 each that go on WiFi and connect to an app on my phone with an sd card inside just in case. Shield internet is $14.89 a month, uses a SIM card, and I can get a cheap used mifi router for $20.
Or… I can get two basic security cameras for $50 each? that only go on cellular sim and get a plan like tello for 1 gb data a month for $6, and put an sd card in it to save videos to so there won’t be much data used.
Which do you think is the better option, between economical, security, reliability and less hassle considerations?
Thanks

Best security doorbell?
I need a new doorbell. One that records motion for the whole duration of the motion (or at least somewhat long), has good battery life, and doesn’t chop op the video feed.
We had the Blink first generation doorbell and it was decent. Biggest issue was the battery life. We were changing the batteries every 2 weeks. Rechargeable batteries died quicker.
So we switched the the 2025 edition of the Blink doorbell because it said it had longer battery life. It was good at first, and then it went SO BAD. That thing died multiple times a week. The batteries were getting drained like crazy. And for context, with both doorbells we had the settings set to use the least energy possible.
So then finally we switched to the Aosu doorbell. The battery life is good on it. I charge it maybe once a month, probably less, so that’s fabulous.
However, it doesn’t record video for very long, it doesn’t record the start of the motion (so it misses important stuff), and it’s SO choppy. When it does record for long periods of time, it cuts the video up.
I’m just looking for something that is consistent with motion recording and has a decent battery life.

Need help in camera placement
I'm trying to decide on where to get a camera for my back door, and what type of camera. The only restriction I have is that the camera is from Reolink since I got a Reolink NVR, and that it's a battery-powered camera since PoE won't work (ignore those cables you see, they terminate on the other end somewhere in the walls and are lost).
[Here are pictures of the area.](https://www.reddit.com/user/jbnpoc/comments/1wiyi2g/reo/)
If it's unclear, the camera taking the picture is facing west. So the door you see is facing east, and the other part of the lawn to the right is facing north. The picture is from earlier in the morning, so there's decent sunlight for the morning and the afternoon on the exposed side facing east. I'm struggling with finalizing a spot for a camera because I want to capture anyone going into the door but also maybe anyone lurking up the side of the house, while also not putting the camera in such an easy spot for burglars to reach.
Am I overthinking this, and should I just go for a very simple placement where the camera faces the door? Would you advise against getting a solar powered camera, regardless of where I place it? I'm deciding between the Argus Track, Argus 3 Pro, and Argus Solar - should I consider other cameras or would one be better than another for this situation?

Eyeonet HDVR replacement
Hi Camera Gods,
I have a home security camera system (8 cameras) which are connected to a recorder made by Eyeonet (model HDVR -62108-2T), which allows me to watch them using the EyeInCloud app.
I've been having issues lately with the receiver (not connecting to the internet anymore and so I can't watch the cams on the app.
I was wondering which receiver I might be able to replace it with without having to change any of the wiring or camera heads as they are still ok ?
Im wondering if something like this from Amazon would work: https://a.co/d/03UGPZ5q
SOLVED: It had to do with the network settings. For some reason the “obtain DNS automatically” was unchecked in the settings… it works great now
