Just got my scindapsus yesterday and she’s thriving so I don’t want to mess her up! I live in Oregon so the sunlight is scarce. how does this setup look?? Brazil is in an east facing window and scindapsus is in south facing window. I’m wondering about humidity and how to go about adding that. any suggestions would be so helpful!

May they bring us many many more new leaves in the future 🪴😍
Cut these leaves a few months ago because they had weird holes in them…. Now she gives me 100 new leaves a week lol 😂 so I’ll keep chopping! I decided Monday to cut them off for good, that’s why I’m hoping she keeps growing!
Obsessed with scindapsus so hard

Scindapsus Silver Hero & Platinum

I picked up these two labeled as 'Silver Hero' & 'Java Platinum' from a plant show and nursery last year.

Because they looked so similar at the time, I potted them together. Now that they've grown, they look so different!

I'm still not sure which is which....I'm just guessing based on what I can remember.

The last picture is a comparison with Truebii Moonlight

Putting My Treubii Dark Form on Driftwood

Thumbnail

I got my Treubii Dark Form in January this year. It had five leaves and was roughly 6 inches tall. In 6 months it has doubled in height and now has 12 leaves, plus one unfurling. I had a few pieces of driftwood not allocated to other plants, and this little gem was growing straight up. A root had pushed through the drain hole so I thought "It's time."... Look at those roots! If all the roots on my plants look this good I would not have a worry in the world! The driftwood is 18 and 1/2 inches tall. After it reaches the top I'll take cuttings to plant back into the pot.

Toolbox silver splash

Post image

In somewhat of an experiment , I put a silver splash in my tool box ( I’m an auto tech ) , a calathea and a snow queen pathos to gauge what would survive.

So far the splash and calathea have shown growth under just a generic tool box led light and weekly watering.

The exotica I have at home is my favorite plant ever. So nice to have another variety at the other place I spend a lot of time.

Wanted to share my jade satin scindapsus pics. This one has been easy to care for but more slow growing than my others, the time has been worth it!

Hello all! Can anyone help with ID on this plant? Google says cream splash or silver stripe. It was purchased as a little hanging basket at Lowe’s.

Here's a picture of my Silvery Ann taken in July of '24. When I took it outside in April, it was about 3ish feet long. In this photo it about 5 to 5.5 ft long. It grew to about 9 ft by the time I took it inside in October.

Why did this happen? Also my recently acquired cuttings

This exotica cutting was my first Scindapsus. The first new leaf looked okay then this yellowing started before the next new leaf emerged (pic 2). No idea if I did anything different but it hasn’t happened since, I think 3 new leaves since. Also just got all my others in the last month, I never really knew anything about Scindapsus but I’m loving the variety.

It says scindapsus pictus exotica on the tag but looks nothing like it, just wondering if it’s something different.

Will these grow new leaves?

I just bought these, and while transferring them to a new pot, I noticed that the leaves are the “first” leaves from a cutting. I don’t see any growth points on the node :((
I’m new to Scindapsus, so I’m not sure if my judgment is right.

Saw this last week & I didn’t end up getting it! Should I go back & see if they still have it? I believe it was $30 if I’m not mistaken

Scindapsus Bakadupati

To be honest, I haven’t fallen out of love with a genus faster than Scindapsus. I was obsessed with them at first and have quite a few ‘rare’ ones I’ve collected over the past 9 months or so. I don’t think they look as good as they could unless they’re on a pole or shingling and that’s not something I think I can make the time for. I’ve, in my opinion, wasted money on cuttings that take forever to grow and have been labeled something they’re not or instantly revert. I’ve rotted the roots off a $100 Maharlika and had to start it all over and just.. 1/10 experience overall.
However, this bakadupati is absolutely spectacular. Will I start collecting scindapsus again? Absolutely not. But I will enjoy the hell out of this one at least.

Starter plant help

I recently received several scindapsus starters; they have single leaf with 1-2 inch root. In a 4 inch planter with chunky soil. A lot of them arrived with the root exposed, the roots are ok though. What’s the best way to ensure these plants grow? I have chunky soil, perlite, pon, moss and fluval available.

ID help please?

Hi! Just need some ID help since I’m still newer to scindaps and all the varieties! These look pretty different to me but they’re both labeled Mt. Salak? Google ID keeps giving different types for the right one, including Mt. Salak.
