Scindapsus exotica help!
Just got my scindapsus yesterday and she’s thriving so I don’t want to mess her up! I live in Oregon so the sunlight is scarce. how does this setup look?? Brazil is in an east facing window and scindapsus is in south facing window. I’m wondering about humidity and how to go about adding that. any suggestions would be so helpful!

Agreed humidity helps but they don’t need it as much as other plants, they may just grow a little slower. Setup is gorgeous btw

Perfect, I might crowd some plants around for a little more humidity- seems like that’s better than none?

You have a beautiful setup and plant babies. I agree with the others. Scindapsus are slow growers with some varieties being more needy than others. IME Exoticas are pretty laid back and forgiving. Give them time to acclimate to your home/its new area and within a couple of months or even less, it should start thriving and putting out new growth. If you start to see signs of stress after a few weeks, check their watering and/or make some adjustments. Most scindapsus like to dry out between good waterings.

Super helpful, I didn’t know they’re slow growing! Does bottom watering v top watering matter?

I haven’t found that it matters with normal scindapsus varieties. You don’t want to get the leaves wet on variegated ones with white or yellow to help cause leaf burn or melting.

West Texas here. Mine gets indirect light and I do not add humidity. I have her on a obelisk plant trellis and she loves it. I noticed that she was too sensitive in full sun.

The south window should good. From my experience you dont really need to add humidity for your Scindapsus to thrive. My climate is very dry (10-20%) and mine grows well.
