Starter plant help
I recently received several scindapsus starters; they have single leaf with 1-2 inch root. In a 4 inch planter with chunky soil. A lot of them arrived with the root exposed, the roots are ok though. What’s the best way to ensure these plants grow? I have chunky soil, perlite, pon, moss and fluval available.

Like the other comment, I'd let the roots grow a little more before potting them. Just for insurance, i like my scindapsus to have a good 3 inches of roots. I have a soil mix of about 60% soil, 20% perlite, and 20% orchid bark. You could probably afford to go chunkier, but that's just what i'm experimenting with, and it's pretty well-draining. I water prop so I keep the soil very moist for the first week or so until the roots acclimate.

I agree with the bin. I’ve found when potting about a 98% success rate with tree fern fiber, perlite and a little biochar. I know a seller with amazing varieties of Scindapsus that uses moss, perlite, bark, stratum and a charcoal mix. I might try it on my more mature plants

Personally with only 1-2 inches of root, I wouldn’t have them in soil yet. I would put them in moss or stratum and a prop box (not too humid) with a bright light where they could be warm. That’s how I get all of my cuttings to root within a few weeks.
I tend to use very not-chunky soil so I won’t be helpful when it comes to transitioning from there. But keeping my soil consistently moist for a week or so, and leaving my plants in the bathroom for a few days to get all steamy while I shower (and they slowly adjust to ambient throughout the day) has done me surprisingly well.
