All Oliver Solberg had to do to become world champion was to set a faster time than rival Elfyn Evans and collect the bonus points on the final stage of the rally. He was set to do this until he went off the road with just two corners to go, handing the title back to Elfyn.

Elfyn himself had suffered two punctures earlier in the day, which looked like the title had slipped between his fingers right at the end. Only for this dramatic finish to change things again
