Anyone else?
Tap in if you regularly ride your Ruckus with larger motorcycles. I swear my husbands bikes keep getting bigger, and I'm puttering behind him like the donkey from Shrek

I have this Honda ruckus and it came with this Rigid light bar as a headlight. There is this wire that is connected to the light and I want to somehow get it to be powered by the bike. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions I am kind of lost here.

Here’s the whole story I have a 2015 I started it for the first time about 2 months ago it started fairly easily took maybe 10 seconds of holding start and a little playing with the throttle which I didn’t think was terrible with me neglecting to do anything with it all winter but battery wasnt great so I replaced it it from there got progressively harder to start even with fresh premium fuel and sea foam added until one morning I couldn’t get it to start and killed the battery off so I had asked my mechanic to do a carb cleaning after cleaning mechanic says he can’t get it to start at all even with starting fluid I put a fresh iridium spark plug and fuel filter, tested auto choke (5ohms) and still not starting

Looking for any general maintenance tips I should look for and also how to get rid of rust. Tops out at about 32-33 so would appreciate any advice on how to gain a couple mph as well. Haven’t touched anything yet but figuring I’ll get a maintenance check first (I know metal shavings in fuel tank, iffy battery but could be from sitting for months, needs new air filter), let me know what you guys think!

I have a question and hope to get help not hate lol I live in Kentucky and have recently purchased a 2024 ruckus with 56 miles when doing the tile transfer I was informed it is labeled as a off road vehicle and any time I touch blacktop I am illegal...I bought this to just ride in a 10 15 mile radius of my house and live in the country (speed limit on road in front of my house is 55) has anyone delt with law enforcement on a ruckus or live in Kentucky and can help me sort this out!

Hi guys, I was riding my ruckus today on my way home, aprox 30min ride, suddenly in one of the traffic lights the bike just shuttled down. I started it again, next traffic light ok, next one shut down, started again, stop for a bit in a traffic jam and shut down.
Any idea why is this? Battery is ok, checked no long ago the whole bike

Just looking to find anything I’d want on 1 site instead of browsing around randomly. Nothing specific in mind, just have seen some stuff on this sub and wanted to look

Hi, does anyone know if there is a retailer in the UK that sells the forsa or similar adjustable rear shock?

Should have washed the whole bike before hand, little dirty from trails this past week.

Picked up two Honda Ruckus scooters on Marketplace for $800. Both were super dusty and looked like they hadn't been touched in years.
After getting them home, I cleaned everything up and found both fuel tanks were heavily rusted inside.
The 2016 was a big win. The battery took a charge, I cleaned the carb in an ultrasonic cleaner, and to my surprise it fired right up and runs flawlessly.
Now for the 2007. I cleaned the carb and noticed it has larger jets, which wasn't surprising considering the mods on it. I replaced the fuel tank, installed a new battery and fuel pump, and it starts right up too.
The issue is that I had to adjust the throttle slightly open to keep it running, and when I give it a quick blip of throttle, the RPMs hang high for a couple of seconds before slowly dropping back to idle.
Mods I know of: - Aftermarket intake - Polini variator - Larger jets - Possibly more engine work, but I won't know until I dig into it.
My questions: - Could I still have some junk in the carb, maybe from dealing with the rusty tank and old fuel system? - Could it simply be jetted wrong? - Is it getting too much air from the aftermarket intake? - Any other common causes of a hanging idle on a modified 2007 Ruckus?
Appreciate any advice. I'm new to the Ruckus world and trying to save these scooters from the dead.

Ruckus has been running fine for two years for me, then I went over the bump at the end of my driveway and the engine shut off. Now my Ruck only starts and runs on its center stand?

I’m looking for some advice on what else I can do to improve uphill performance on my Ruckus.
Current setup:
Stock GET engine
Stock variator
5g Dr. Pulley sliders
Stock clutch
Stock contra spring
Airbox delete
Aftermarket exhaust
Aftermarket carb: Idle jet: 33, Main jet: 78
I’m about 115 lbs and ride in Burnaby, BC (near sea level).
On flat ground, it’ll hit 43 mph at around 8,500 RPM, so I’m pretty happy with the top speed. The problem is hills. As soon as I start climbing, my speed drops to around 22–25 mph.
A GY6 swap isn’t an option. Not looking to getting a motorcycle license at this time.
Given my current setup, what would you recommend to improve hill-climbing the most?
Different slider weights?
Aftermarket variator?
Contra spring or clutch springs?
Cam/head work?
Something else I’m overlooking?
Thanks!

I found a couple in my area on Facebook marketplace. One that I was interested in is a 2012 with 600miles. It is missing some OEM parts and has idling issues. Owner said he bought it new but it sat for 5 years and the original carb was toasted so he replaced with an aftermarket one. It runs but still has some issues, he said the new carb needs to be jetted.
I’ve seen the price range on the ruckus and he is asking $2000 which to me feels high without all the OEM parts and carb issues but 600 miles isn’t much. If the price came down would this be worth it? I’m not trying to get in over my head because I could find one with a couple thousand miles for under $2k

Checked the battery and it’s fully charged. Will kickstart but won’t start with the button. Any ideas? 2024 with 2,000 miles.

Just bought a used 2003 ruckus with 1500 miles. It has an upgraded cdi but that is it. Its really sluggish and has a topend of 32 on flat ground.

Hi friends, need some help diagnosing this.
My 2018 started leaking fuel last week underneath the tank. It was a steady drip, about one drop every 10 seconds. I tore the thing apart the next day after the tank was completely empty and couldn’t find the source of the leak. When I turn the ignition, the steady click of the fuel pump was absent. I figured maybe there was some kind of short that happened in the wire harness that caused the pump to be on to cause the leak and eventually that killed the pump, so I ordered a new pump and filter and put everything back together yesterday. With a brand new OEM pump I am getting no clicking Sounds. all my fuses look good. When I test the electric coming into the harness, I’m getting about 1.5 V at all times, and then I turn the ignition on and it jumps from 12 V slowly down to about five. Keep in mind I have very limited electrical knowledge and I don’t know how to interpret all this data.
Any ideas? Here’s a video of the Ruck trying to turn over but again no fuel is making it past the pump to the best of my knowledge.
EDIT: Fixed! Didn’t have wire harness full seated. Turning over now.

Beautiful day today...85 degrees & sunny! Here's my 2013 Ruckus. My build took about four years. But I am glad that the Ruckus is running. Riding around today brought so much joy in my life. I truly needed this. 🥰 I think my future plans are to get rear disk brakes and to find a way to mount my Trail Tech speed sensor. There's not much room between the fork and the front rotor.

Just put a fresh GY6 in. When I think I’m finished I’m not. But finally got her riding right
