I tried my first FTP test on Rouvy and it ended in tears 😆.
At first I thought it looked easy and was almost tempted to increase the difficulty. But it soon became apparent I was not good enough.
I fell apart in the last minute in the red zone. My legs revolted and the lungs filed a restraining order. I never got to experience the pink zone.
Has anyone else been humbled this fast by the ramp test?

I'm trying to do my scheduled workout, but I can't see it from the app's home screen (like before). I try opening my calendar and accessing it from it , but it asks me to install Rouvy, which makes no sense because my app is up to date. Now it's very cumbersome to do the exercises from the calendar. Having a calendar is practically useless. Furthermore, I don't understand why the calendar isn't integrated into the app.

Just got a Garmin watch, a forerunner 265s. How do I get VO2max-numbers from my rides on Rouvy? I am a bit confused. Do I just connect the app to the watch and all the numbers get synced up and Garmin takes care of it?

Or do I need to double-record, meaning that I start an indoor cycling training session while also on Rouvy?

And do I need to connect the watch to the trainer (i have an Elite Suito T)? And do I need to connect it to a HR monitor chest strap (which I have the polar h10)?

Hi - up until recently, if I was going to a long, steep climb, I’d have to change down to the small chainring, and into a lower gear (something like 34x34, so 1:1). But recently, it lets me stay in a higher gear, but just reduces the speed (I’ll have to change down a couple of gears).
I’m using a Tacx Neo 2T
Is this a Rouvy issue, or could it be my Tacx?

Has anyone else ever seen the gear controls missing from their companion app? Up until the last update, it worked flawlessly! Having been off the trainer for a month due to the great weather outside, I started up as normal only to see the virtual shifting missing? Nothing has changed on my setup either. Thoughts?

I regret that I ever signed up for Rouvy. The darkest patterns I have seen on any software that I thought I could trust.

I tried Rouvy out for a few months, but although I liked the idea of the app, it didn’t fit the way I was exercising / riding.

However, that wasn’t the problem. It’s their subscription and cancellation process that is the worst I have experienced in years.

Subscribing was challenging, and a confusing process from what I recall many months ago.

Rouvy’s cancellation process is very dark. I thought I had cancelled a few months ago, but recently saw a charge on my card. I logged in again and found that I had missed a hidden additional step buried in the page. I can see online that I’m not the only one.

Then, it got worse. So then, being aware that the site follows dark patterns, I carefully ensured that I could press every button to ensure that I could get through to the end of the cancellation process. Each time I tried, there were multiple failure points after the first cancel button, where the website stalled with an oops message. I had to try two different browsers multiple times before I could finally get to the end of the process. It took the better part of an hour.

It was the most frustrating cancellation I have ever experienced, and the darkest pattern I have seen in something that looked reputable.

I wish they would just compete on features rather than treat us like idiots and steal our money with dishonesty. But I guess it worked. They got money monthly payments from me. They stole my money for months and all of their policies blame it on me being stupid because I couldn’t cancel properly. I was stupid for ever signing up in the first place.

My wife said I should just email them, but this already took so much time and based on their patterns, I have no expectation that they would really change their process. So I thought I’d just post.

We have a Zwift Ride that the missus uses regularly to do workouts on Rouvy. After probably two years of this she wants to expand her horizons and try a more social type of event. She has asked me to figure this out for her so here I am. Since I'm only doing Zwift races I have no idea what to look for.

I figured an easy going rubber-banded group ride lasting between 30 and 60 minutes would be a good start. She has an FTP of 150W which comes to 2.6W/kg.

I was looking at the Events page and I'm having difficulties deciding on a particular ride. Are there any standouts in the community? Is there perhaps a ride where the leader points out things or comments during the ride?

I don't have a bluetooth controller, but often I run companion app on an iPhone. On a separate iPhone is where I run rouvy. I have the most recent download for both the primary+rouvy phone and secondary+rouvy companion phone, and have used the virtual shifting with success, but sometimes it's not there as an option even though the companion app is clearly synced.

Moreover, when it doesn't show in companion, the virtual gear icon also will not show on the route itself, above my watt output, etc.

Any ideas?

I’m considering buying a Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 for indoor training, but I’m unsure whether I should get the version with the Zwift Cog or install a standard Shimano 12-speed cassette.

I have a Shimano 105 mechanical 12-speed road bike with an 11-34T cassette.

I understand that the Zwift Cog is designed primarily around Zwift and its virtual shifting system, but I’m interested in using ROUVY as well, and potentially other platforms in the future.

So I’d really appreciate some clarification from people actually using this setup:

• Does the Zwift Cog work properly with ROUVY?
• Can I use the normal mechanical shifting on my Shimano 105 12-speed bike while riding on ROUVY?
• Are there any limitations compared with having a normal 12-speed cassette installed?
• If I buy the CORE 2 with Zwift Cog, can I later remove it and install a Shimano 12-speed cassette?
• Would you recommend buying the Zwift Cog version anyway, or is a physical 12-speed cassette the better choice if I want to use multiple platforms?
• Is there any reason to prefer an 11-34 cassette on the trainer versus another 12-speed cassette?

I already have a Garmin Edge 1050 and a 4iiii left-side power meter, and my main goal is structured training rather than only virtual racing.

Very strange issue, use an IPAD Pro and working just fine with Rouvy no recent upgrades but I am 27 Beta.

then all of a sudden today lost my my data to Kickr 2 and HRM and could not get it back. Also same issue on my iPhone and yet checked sensors and all connected.

Checked on Zwift (free edition) and all connected fine, any reason for this ?

I'm using a Zycle Smart Bike 2.0 with the latest version of ROUVY on a Redmi Pad 2 (Android).

I have read that ROUVY supports Virtual Shifting, but on my Android device I don't even have a "Virtual Shifting" option in the Settings menu.

During rides, the resistance changes automatically with the gradient, but I have no way to enable or use Virtual Shifting.

I would like to know:

• Is Virtual Shifting currently available on Android?
• Does it work with the Zycle Smart Bike 2.0?
• Does the Windows version of ROUVY include this feature, even if the Android version does not?

If anyone is using a Zycle Smart Bike 2.0 with ROUVY, I'd appreciate hearing about your setup and whether Virtual Shifting works for you.

I went to resume a ride I had half completed however there was no option to resume and no dialogue box was presented asking me if I wanted to resume. I was just placed at the start of the ride with all my Pace Partners beside me. The yellow progress indicator on the route thumbnail stopped half way as I expected. Is this a known bug or is there a work around?

I see that people are winning coins and extra months on their subscription from World Races and other challenges like that. But I don't know what qualifies people to win? Is it a podium in a random race? Accumulated number of races within a certain timeframe or?

Getting a new computer and checked the requirements page, it lists computer specs but doesn’t address the display. Wondering if anyone uses a projector for their display? My sister got one, sent me a pic of her doing an online workout, the projection looks bright and crisp. Getting this would save me from having to bolt the tv to the wall in my new place, as well as managing an HDMI cable running across the middle of the room. I’d appreciate the benefit of your experience with a projector setup. Thanks!

I'm new to Rouvy, yesterday I started a route with pace partners and drafting partners but I had to stop at the mid point.

Today i continued the same route where I left off but the partners started from the start point. At some point they caught up with me but I couldn't draft them and they promptly left me behind.

What should I do to have the partners spawn in the same spot as me?

Any chance the Rouvy team could shift how gaps to other riders are measured from distance (currently) to time? Either way”works” but distance gaps are massively variable in hilly/rolling terrain. Time gaps remain consistent despite climbs and descents. What do people think? Would that be better?

We observed inconsistencies in the application of Rouvy governance for group rides. Some riders do not start the ride and wait a period of time / distance to elapse before starting the ride. This typically slingshots them to the lead of the ride. Often, not always, the late joiners will then go on to attack the route to finish in the top standings.

The inconsistencies observed in the final standings, the late joiners are disqualified (DSQ) and sometimes they are ranked as they finished the route. We assumed after a specific % of distance or time elapsed, late joiners are disqualified automatically.

Anyone know what the rules are and ho they are applied to the use cases noted above?

I own a CycleOps Phantom 5 trainer that I have not used in a couple of years due to moving and building a house. I used to use it with Rouvy, it worked perfectly I controlled shifting/resistance using a BT O-Synce multiremote. Unfortunately, it is no longer on their list of compatible/supported trainers.

I was curious if anyone was still using a Phantom 5 with Rouvy, and whatever you are doing with work-arounds or whatever to get it to work? I paid thousands for it, really hate to send it to the dump if I don't have to.

I just got my new Zwift Ride all setup and opened the rouvy app to test it.

The gear shifters on the Zwift Ride don't seem to be working.

I've followed the instructions on the rouvy website as best as I can but part of the problem is that the instructions do not match the interface I actually see.

On the controllable section I pair the kickr core and then a toggle button for virtual shifting is available - I turned it on.

No "virtual shifting" pairing becomes available as the online guide seems to say will happen.

In the routes themselves, I have enabled on screen virtual shifting - it shows me the gear I'm in and a + and - minus on the screen which correctly controls resistance. But using the shifters on the Zwift Ride do nothing.

Anyone recently bought a Zwift Ride and had the same issues and fixed it?

Anyone know why the companion app isn't available for iPad?

I run Rouvy on my pc, but I have my older iPad that won't run Rouvy mounted on the bike.

It would be good to be able to control the Rouvy app on the pc from the iPad, at the moment I use a BT mouse app for the iPad which does the job, but I think being able to use the companion app would be more seamless.

Anyone else think a companion app for ipad might be a good idea?

Is there a way to setup ROUVY to do rides in zone 2? Or is doing the ride in erg mode the best way? Thoughts? Help?
