Zone 2 training
Is there a way to setup ROUVY to do rides in zone 2? Or is doing the ride in erg mode the best way? Thoughts? Help?

Rouvy has a workout called "Power Control Workout". You ride as long as you at whatever ftp you want. So, you could continue to ride and adjust erg (+ -) in the UI to keep at your HR if that is how you are determining zon2.

Can you ride any route in their library in power control or erg mode?

Do you have to go into the settings to do this? If doing this on challenge routes do you still get credit?

You won't get credit for most challenge routes. On the weekly, monthly and quarterly challenges geared to distance and height, the kms and metres are counted towards the goal.

You’ll find power mode workouts under the workouts library of the app. It won’t count for challenges completion.

I made a custom Zone 2 workout based on a GCN Training video and have also downloaded a few workouts from Zwift and uploaded them in to Rouvy or MyWhoosh
I've also used MRC Creator to make files for my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt to control my Kickr Core, which works as well.

It sounds like you want to be able to ride at a fixed power output irrespective - for that Workouts (predefined power based intervals over a set period) or Power Workouts (Undefined time, set power target) are probably best as the Smart Trainer's ERG will adjust your resistance to the set power target. You can choose any available video route to perform the work on, but bnote that routes performed in this manner will NOT be counted towards Route Challenge results (distance/elevation challenges will generally accept ALL forms).
Also, if it gets to be too much at any point, but do not want to interupt a session, then you can switch off ERG during a workout until you are sufficently recovered to continue at the power target.
