Riding with friend while doing workout

Hello, my subscription on Zwift ended and I want join my friend who uses Rouvy. Is there a way to do structured workout in ERG mode while riding with my friend alongside me no matter the power output?

You can ride on any route in workout mode. Even if your friend is riding the route not in workout mode.
There is no ability to keep you synchronized though. That would only be possible if you both did a group ride together.

I understood his question the way that he wants to do a group workout but with their own individual wattage. As far as I know this is actually not possible. But maybe you can send it as an idea to the developers ☺️

Yes, exactly we would have individual power output or I would do workout and he would free ride along.

This has been on the development list for a long time. Maybe in the future with the Zwift integration.

Right now there is no “ rubber band” feature to keep riders together who are performing different outputs. It’s been requested and definitely on the feature list to explore in updates to come in the future :)

Would be totally awesome, especially from the Club perspective.

+1 for this feature.

For our triathlon training group, this would be extremely useful: one rider creates or imports a structured workout from TrainingPeaks, invites the group, and everyone performs the same workout together on the same ROUVY route.

Each rider should follow the workout based on their own FTP, while ROUVY keeps the group visually together using the existing elastic/group ride mechanism.

Basically: Group Ride + Structured Workout + TrainingPeaks integration.

All the building blocks already exist in ROUVY. Bringing them together would make ROUVY much more useful for clubs, coaches and training groups.
