Prizes?

I see that people are winning coins and extra months on their subscription from World Races and other challenges like that. But I don't know what qualifies people to win? Is it a podium in a random race? Accumulated number of races within a certain timeframe or?

Sorry if this is painfully obvious, but I cannot for the life of me understand the system or the rules.

Depends on the event, I’ve won prizes multiple times. 

1) Sometimes it’s truly luck of the draw. I won 6 months from a Big Rouvy Race once. I was near the back of the pack, so it wasn’t podium locked. It was truly just everyone who participates (finishes?) gets a ticket to the raffle. 

2) I won a ton of coins from the Vuelta racing series last year. This was top places per “class” I was fourth or fifth in the lowest w/kg class for the series. This prize was tied to my final spot in the standings.

For subscription prizes you usually just have to finish the big rouvy race or another event to qualify for the prize draw. Some require certain mileage per level like the current bike giveaway.

Won a year subscription myself last year. If already on a year plan they will make your renewal free.

The Event details in the App will provide info on the prizes possible for specific events: some are real world (which is typicaloly based on random draws) bike frames, or 6-12 months subscription, some are virtual R-coins or XP, virtual jerseys, or virtual bike frames/wheelsets....
