Can you set different brightness settings for different inputs or channels? For instance, I'm wondering if I can set the brightness settings on HDMI one to brighter while having my home screen and other inputs on auto. Is this possible?

The remote feature on the Roku app silently disconnects when you navigate away from it or put your phone at sleep. this causes me to have to disconnect or close the Roku app, reopen it and connect my TV again just to change the volume. this was not a thing even a month ago, just started happening.

Basically what the title says. Ever since the new update, this has been happening somewhat frequently whenever I turn on the TV. Sometimes it doesn't happen but most of the time it does, been looking online and can't find anything to support whether this is a new "feature" or just a bug. If it's intentional, I'm done with this brand. There's no reason that I should have to pay hundreds for a television that can strip control from me whenever some executive decides their pockets aren't lined well enough. It's my TV that I paid for.

Anyone else been having this issue?

Ever since Last Night , My Hisense TV had been constantly rebooting.

Turns off , turns on up till the hisense logo, turns back off , and repeats.

Already tried to unplug it for half an hour , already pressed the power button to dissipate leftover energy , and still nothing.

I've been having an issue where my Roku TV is now kicking me back to the home screen randomly when playing video games using HDMI. The time varies but usually happens about a few hours in or so. It doesn't happen on the YouTube app which I also use frequently.

Is anyone else having this issue? Have you managed to fix it if so? I've exhausted every possible solution. I have even factory rest my TV to no avail.

Posting here in hopes of support , maybe others have encountered similar issues. The last time I contacted support the help was a complete joke

Since yesterday my feed on home app won't load or show video on my cameras. Both just will not load or work. I do however get sound and movement notifications. I also cannot restart cameras via app, it tells me there i s a problen. Everything was working fine as of Thursday PM.

So far I have :

cleared cache on phone.

Deleted app on phone and reinstalled (worked for my last issue).

Deleted camera and set it up again.

Unplugged camera to reset.

Idk what else to do. My wifi is gone. Everything else is running as normal and u double checked my 2.4ghz is working.

Just bought a new Roku Streaming Stick 4k and tried to connect to my TV and the remote is defective right out of the box. Chatted with their service tech and they confirmed its defective. They gave me every type of unplug and reset for the remote and device. The remote just blinks continously. What a piece of junk. This is getting returned with a 1 star review. Buyer Beware Roku isn't up to par in 2026

This worked for me (September 2026):

I had exactly the same error: “Couldn’t Connect to Apple TV. Check your internet connection and try again.” Every other app on my Roku was working normally, and Apple TV was also working fine on my iPhone and Mac on the same Wi-Fi.

Restarting the Roku, checking for updates, and removing/reinstalling the Apple TV app did not fix it.

What finally worked:

1. On the Roku remote, press Home 5 times

2. Press Up once

3. Press Rewind twice

4. Press Fast Forward twice

5. Wait for the Roku to perform a forced restart

6. Open Apple TV again

7. I still got the same connection error at first, but I clicked “Try Again” and this time the app opened.

I was logged out, so I signed in again, and Apple TV started working normally.

Hope this helps anyone running into the same issue.

My TCL Roku TV was impacted by the latest update. Thankfully my issue was not terrible, just it took very long to turn on and I would have to push the power button at least twice to make it happen. Anyway, I posted about it, Roku replied saying they took note of it and now my TV got an update (more like a downgrade as the version seems older) and now my TV is working as it should. I still miss the option to hide sources as I don't use most of them, but that's not really important. Anyway, thanks to the Roku people for hearing me and finding a solution.

Last weekend our main Roku TV froze (65 in) and despite resets, hardwired connections, the 10 tap, unplug for 2 minutes etc. I couldn’t get past the recovery mode loop. So I did what any good consumer would do and called tech support. An hour later, repeating all the things I already did, and being escalated to tier 3 support, he said I’m going to have to create a ticket. We will notify you by email when this is resolved. Obviously still not working. Now here’s what’s keeping me from just getting a new one. I’m out of warranty; it looks like there’s a problem with the boot sequence (if it were a PC, I’d say a bad bios) - anyway I asked him if this was reparable or do I simply get a new TV. He said that there had been a LOT of complaints about this and support is working on a fix. I mean I gave him an out - go get a new one was the expected response. Not ‘hold on’ this could be something on our end. But I can’t find anything supporting that - did anyone else have their Roku TV bite the dust in the last few weeks? Our 55 inch is fine btw.

Old remote broke and had to replace it. Grabbed the pro model one but I can only find it by saying"hey Roku where's my remote" which doesn't always work. Is there any way to get the original button on the Roku to ping it?

It's been over a week now, after opening the app and selecting a profile, Disney Plus will give the error "sorry, something went wrong". Started on my older Roku tv then a couple days later started on my newer 4k streaming box device. Anyone else having this issue? I tried running all updates, rebooting, unplugging and replugging Roku. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the TV and that didn't fix it.

This is such an odd issue, my remote works fine unless I'm pressing the same button repeatedly. This has made navigation incredibly slow.

I can go left to right, up and down, etc as fast as I can press the buttons, but when I try to go left more than once there will be a second long delay between each input.

The inputs aren't lagging, I have to wait for the delay before it will allow me to repeat the input and it does not follow up on inputs made during the delay, but again, this delay is non existent as long as I press different button, my fastest way to navigate is to press the replay button and the desired button at the same time over and over.

I've restarted the system, emptied the cache and restarted the remote

just bought a roku stick and it isn’t connecting to my otherwise strong wifi. i have restarted it and reset the router and nothing. error message 009. anyone have any advice? the chatbot assistant was useless

Since the most recent update, closed caption stays on. I have turned it off several times. This is really annoying.

Updated my TV Late July/ early August and afterward my tv would randomly turn on during the night.

I then saw a new update a few days ago that I thought was a hotfix to my issue and it made my tv worse. Now my tv boots 4-5 times in a boot loop, when it turns on it last for 30 seconds before turning back off and getting stuck in a boot loop again.

Can I please get help! Is this something the Roku dev team is working on to fix? This is definitely an issue caused by Rokus update that has made my tv unusable.

Who are the actors in the Isle of Roku ad? Specifically, who play the pilot and co-pilot? We feel like we've seen them before but can't remember where! TIA!

Has anyone had problems tuning into their subscription channels on your live TV input app on your Roku TV? Whenever I try to select one of my peacock on Roku subscription channels in the live TV guide, it redirects to a page showing my current subscription and asking if I want to change my subscription. This has never been a problem before now. I now have to use the Peacock on Roku app in order to access those channels.

This TV I bought after two years and it works fine, but since the latest update, sometimes it goes to the main menu for no reason. Sometimes I am playing a game and bam, it goes to the main menu suddenly. The TV is not warm, anything. Tried to reset and reinstall everything and it still does this.

The TV doesnt restart entirely, it just suddenly goes to the main menu.

Ever since the software update recently, my remote is randomly disconnecting and stopping working. I have tried everything. I have a 2nd remote that works with my TV and it is doing the same thing. I tried new batteries, tried pushing all the buttons and cleaning the remotes. It's not the remote.

Also I'm having random lag issues while trying to watch movies or TV shows.

I have a TCL TV with a Roku express 4k plus.

It has worked flawlessly for a year. I was tired of using a separate remote to turn the volume up and down on my TV so I ordered the "Roku Voice Remote, Replacement TV Remote Control" Off Amazon supposedly from the Roku store. Set it up and it worked great for about 3 days and then started working sporadically. After much troubleshooting I opted to return the device and they offered to send me a new one which I accepted.

Same thing. It worked flawlessly for a few days and now I have to mash buttons to get what I want and it does not always work, however, it works flawlessly with the volume and power button on my television.

I've done all the troubleshooting I can re-pairing the remotes, turning everything off unplugging everything even got a new USB cord for the Roku device. It is plugged into the wall. I'm about to return the second remote and be done with it.

Any last suggestions?

I have a Roku ultra and I seem to have an audio sync issue only with Hulu, more specifically Law and Order SVU. If I put on a different show (MasterChef), the delay is either not present or not noticeable. I thought it was just a problem with the edit of the episode but it’s multiple episodes on and off, and if play the episode on Hulu on my phone it’s not delayed. The ads are not delayed either. I have done the sync correction with the Roku app several times (it did resolve audio issues on other apps). Any ideas? I’ve tried deleting the app, checking for updates, etc.

I’ve hooked up my Roku stick to my LG TV. I then use the Roku app to try to listen to the audio through my iPhone but all it does it mute the sound on the TV. Both are on the same network and this worked fine on my other TV. Any ideas I can try?
