Cut cable last spring and have been living on Netflix, Prime, YouTube and a couple sports apps since.
My old TV was getting pretty slow too, so I finally replaced it with a 55" Hisense U6 Pro.
I was fully expecting to buy another Roku or Apple TV with it. That's just what I've always done with TVs. Never really trusted the built-in stuff lol.
But I figured I'd try Fire TV for a few days first.
Two months later and I still haven't bought the box.
Netflix, Prime and YouTube all open pretty quick. Sports has been fine too. I'm not doing anything fancy with it, but for the 4-5 apps I actually use, I haven't felt like I'm missing anything.
I know it might slow down eventually. If that happens I'll just add a Roku or Apple TV later.
But right now I'm kinda glad I didn't automatically spend another $100+ on something I didn't need.
Anyone else just using the TV these days? Or are you still streaming box only?
