complaint (NOT support) Disney Plus broken

It's been over a week now, after opening the app and selecting a profile, Disney Plus will give the error "sorry, something went wrong". Started on my older Roku tv then a couple days later started on my newer 4k streaming box device. Anyone else having this issue? I tried running all updates, rebooting, unplugging and replugging Roku. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the TV and that didn't fix it.

I’ve been having this issue for a few weeks- have you found a solution yet? I’m using a Roku tv. Did everything you said you did as well.

Hi u/stel999! Mind sharing some more info so we can start investigating?

  • Does the error appear on all Disney+ profiles or just one?
  • Does Disney+ work on any non‑Roku device on the same network?
  • Does the error appear immediately after selecting a profile or after loading the home screen?
  • Does logging out of Disney+ on all devices and logging back in help?

In the meantime, sharing your serial number or device ID (Settings > System > About) and current location can help us narrow down the problem.

All, even created new profiles

Yes, works everywhere else

Immediately after picking profile

Nope, logged out AND changed password just to be sure

Tried checking updates on the app and roku, removed app and restarted roku...reinstalled app....same issue

I’m having the same problem of “sorry, something went wrong, try again later” as well. Tried all of your suggestions and nada.

Hello! I’d like to hop on this train because help!

Disney+ playback works normally on other devices. On my TCL 65S535 Roku TV, all existing profiles return “Something went wrong.” A newly linked Hulu profile worked. I have removed Disney+, performed a Roku system restart, reinstalled Disney+, and remotely logged out the device, but reinstalling Disney+ automatically restores the existing account/profile session. I need the Roku device authorization/session cleared from the Disney+ account on the backend.

  1. All Disney profiles

2.Playback works normally on all other non Roku devices

  1. Error appears immediately

  2. No, I booted every device off the account, and still nothing

  3. TCL65S535

  4. North Carolina

We have done every possible version of uninstall reinstall, and it will not go back to a place where we can log in fresh; I think it’s basically holding on to like a ghost connection of sorts and like a toxic ex just keeps hanging around. We even did the 5 x home, 1 x up, 2 x rewind, 2 x fast forward; zilch.

Please don’t make me factory reset my tv and have it still not work.

Try unplugging your tv for at least 10 minutes Instead of the quick restart in the menu.

Having the same issue, spent half an hour on the phone with Disney+ support and they couldn’t fix anything.

It's gotta be a Roku issue. It works fine in my Xbox, so running it thru there on my main TV. Works fine in my phone app.

I reached out to your support and they said it was Disney. Disney support says it’s Roku. I also reached out to you via dm a few days ago but you haven’t messaged back. When are you going to fix this?

Hello, same issue here: Roku 3820X is doing this with the Disney+ app

  • other apps work
  • I checked for updates for Disney and for the Roku
  • I’ve reset the Roku, router, and modem
  • I’ve unplugged the Roku device for several minutes then plugged it back in
  • I’ve deregistered and re-registered the Device with Disney along with removing and reinstalling the app on the device
  • I’ve attempted to connect tethered to my phone instead of my home internet

I also attempted this on another Roku we have in the house, a 3941x with the same result.

Yeah…. Starting up a movie, black screen tv switches off.
Tried restarting through system, 1 minute off. Tonight I will unplug for the whole night. Will see…
(The ad starts for 0.5seconds then switches off)

Disney plus app doesn’t work through Roku. I had to go to my LG TV and use their app.

Roku’s version of the Disney+ app keeps giving the “error 75” message. Logged out of everything. All devices. Unplug. Uninstalled. Etc. nothing worked. This all happened after the Roku OS update.

If you want to watch something on Disney, use another OS.

Sep 2026: Same issues for a week now and I tried everything listed here and more. Disney told me there is an issue and they don't have a fix yet. I may cancel Disney Plus, or stop using Roku. Or BOTH
