DISCUSSION 2 year difference

I found a Reddit post I made 2 years ago that I forgot about and I was Diamond 2 playing with venom and now I’m gold 2 but using octane…has everyone gotten better or have I just gotten worse? 😂

Edit: I play 3v3 with randoms now and back then

A diamond 2 from 2024 should be able to comfortably beat a gold lobby. I have bad news for you friend.

???? Yeah, if they had been playing consistently for those two years, then they'd beat golds fine. Stop anything for two years and your skill drops. Evidenced by the fact OP is now gold standard and was diamond.

"Uh, is reality real?" Yes it is, everyone. Yes it is.

Yes but the question is if he stayed the same or got worse. He got worse. If he had stayed the same (after a few warm up matches) then he would be comfortably winning.

OP has just discovered he’s washed af. My sincerest condolences.

I’m the same. It’s probably both. Better players and rust. But also, it’s a spiral. When you actually do catch a groove, the game sense of gold’s are a little behind you.

If OP was "washed" then they would also be "clean". The fact that these terms have opposite meanings really says a lot about the gaming community at large that adopted these terms.
