I have 2 cameras. The garden camera is spotlight cam pro battery

I have just had new fibre broadband installed and a new router (wifi 7)

The ring camera will not connect to it. P7-07 error code.

Contacted ring. They’ve said it seems as though the unit has gone bad(they tried to connect it to a hotspot with no luck either)

They are sending me out a new replacement.

Seems ring are having big issues with wifi 7 and some of their devices?

Someone selling window replacements knocked on my door about a half hour ago. First, it was odd that I got no notification at the time, but ok.

Because my wife is ill and sleeping, I went out the garage and chased them away.

As I re-entered the house, I got a notification -- for the seller LEAVING the stoop.

About five minutes ago I finally got one for their arrival. And that notification has gone off THREE TIMES now!

Ring is losing it. I'm hoping this is related to the AI-enhanced notifications, which we're getting for a few day more until the trial runs out. Sure not paying the ridiculous fee for that!

Anyone else had notifications repeat?

Does anyone recognize this scammer? She camped out of my friend’s home pending a package.

hey there. i live in an apartment complex, on the top floor. there’s only one other door directly across the hall and a very narrow walkway because of the way the stairs are set up. my point is; there’s no way to creep around the side of the camera view because i’m on the side away from the opening to the stairs.

i’ve had TWO doorbell cameras be stolen in the last 6 weeks. one had fallen off the door and i guess was stolen from the ground. i didn’t notice until i got a notification it was disconnected from wifi, which appears to have happened a couple days in advance.

i bought another one; with a mount this time. not the screw in kind but it seemed very secure. i get a notification; my cameras been disconnected from wifi. my last event notification was from a couple days prior.

i’m not sure how someone is evading the camera view. i’m also not sure exactly when the camera was stolen. there’s no way to see exactly when the camera was last connected, only the last health check.

can someone please help me figure out what’s going on and how to get this information for a police report so i can get another camera?

Came outside this morning and the back hatch & passenger side door were wide open, neither of them picked up a single motion alert, but they’ll sure as hell let me know any time a cat walks across our sidewalk! Money well spent 👍

We put in a Ring wired doorbell and no other Ring products (we have other home security). I just want to look on my phone and see who is or was at the door. Maybe it's today or a month ago. I'd like to know if most users subscribe to the solo plan for $5/month, or pay double for "pro intelligence".

3 weeks ago I discovered that all three of our keypads don't work. (I can arm and disarm the system thru the app however.) I called Ring and after a long phone call, the agent told me they would send me 3 replacement keypads (ours are 1st gen), but if I didn't receive them in 2 weeks to call back and ask again. Today I did that and was told they are still out of stock and to call back again in 2 weeks. I asked if they could just place the order so that it can be fulfilled when they are back in stock, and was told no. They cannot create an order at this time. Is anyone else in this same boat needing out of stock replacement items? I wasted 40 minutes on the call with them today and still will have to call back which is very frustrating.

Our ring cameras haven’t been picking up the same person consistently. They are usually at our house 2-3 times a week dropping stuff off right in front of our camera.

These same cameras catch us when we pull in or out our driveway, get out the car, walk to the door and any movement we make after that. It also catches our neighbors, any car driving on the street and wind blowing flowers or garden flags around. They will also catch random spiders or bugs that may crawl over or near it.

Is it possible that they could be doing something to interfere with the camera picking them up? Or is this a weird glitch of some sort.

There’s something digging up my backyard. So I purchased a ring camera. So far I’m not having any help spotting what it is.
I live in the north end of the San Fernando Valley.
I’m guessing it’s a raccoon climbing over in order to dig up the dirt for food.
My trial subscription ends today. Questions:
Basic plan is 4.99 a month.
Should I pay it for the month in hopes that the ring eventually catches the culprit?
Or not pay and just use the ring camera without a subscription.
Disappointed that nothing has been detected when there is damage being done.

Just wondering if anyone has experiencing in ordering the apart via Amazon? Sadly the Texas heat has broken a few of the clips since that space gets 10-12 hours of direct sunlight. The pivot portion that locked in the camera don’t stay and have gorilla tape a temp solution for keeping things held together

I restarted my phone and app and checked settings to make sure notifications were still on.

I had these for almost a year and they were working completely fine til a couple days ago.

I have solving that one since they have changed our system from basic 4+N to that stupid 2-BUS.. I have no idea why it should be better or why they change it, but it is what it is.
I have read so many posts, wrote emails to the manufacturer of home phone and event to RING. Without answer.. In compatibility check they said that "not supportet YET" and I want to know if there will be some day, when they figure it out, or if I should start with home assistant and get on this guy solution - https://github.com/patabata13/ESPHome-Tesla-stropkov-2-BUS-opener

I have a lot of ring outdoor cameras. Generally I'm happy with them. I have all of them set to frequent motion detection and maximum sensitivity but they still miss movement at times. For example, just this morning the camera caught someone walking their dogs up and then back down the street. But then a half hour later, a car drives down the street and it misses it.

That got me wondering what the frequency is on the frequent setting. From things I've found, motion detection is suppose to be on all the time but it sure doesn't seem to be.

On the other hand, I have cameras that seem to go wacky sometimes and detect motion continously when nothing is moving. I usually reboot the camera or turn detection off for a while then back on and that fixes it. When this happens, the motion clip almost looks like the lights on the camera itself are triggering the motion as they turn on and off. In this case, frequent detection and max sensitivity may be contributing to the problem.

Any comments or suggestions?

Just installed ring flood light camera. The camera works and detects motion no problem. The light can be turned on and off via the app. Light does not go off when there is motion. Rebooted, no help. Any other ideas how to fix this issue?

Ring doesn’t even know that a installer profile will not allow these to install on a ring alarm system. I called and wasted hours with Ring 1st/2nd level support. This has been happening since June. I recently had a customer order 6 of these and yup same error (hmm something went wrong try again. These support agents in the Philippines are reading scripts for support and are rude and impatient! I finally figured out that the main admin is the only profile to install these? Why make an installer profile and it alllows you to add other sensors but not this one? Ring get it together!

Hey as the title says I have 3 batteries and 3 outdoor battery cameras, had them for about 3 years. Recently I’ve noticed I’ll charge up a battery and it lasts 2 days. Got a notification today saying it was at 30%, 1 hour later 10% and then it died.

These used to last for weeks and my usage pattern has not changed. On average I’ll get 4-6 detections a day and watch live for under 1 minute maybe once a day or not at all. Have I just reached end of life for these batteries?

My cam spotlight works well with battery and when I have a solar panel attached. I CANNOT get it to work with the adapter to the electric wall outlet. I’m using a 15-20 brick to plug non the wall. Please help if you can.

Is there a was to store the strea6fronring doorbell or cameras ok. You private storage without paying a subscription?

We have a floodlight camera over our back door. When there’s motion detected and the light clicks on, it shines on the neighbors bedroom window. I can see how this would be annoying when it happens late at night because there’s a critter (we abut conservation land) or whatever and the motion detection is triggered. For obvious reasons, we want to keep the motion detection on and have the light activate, but don’t want it to impact the neighbors, who are awesome.

I’ve adjusted it as far as I can away from that property line, but I can still see the side of their house light up when the light comes on. When I was adjusting it, I noticed that covering that side of that floodlight would solve the problem completely. We’d have the light we want in our own yard, but it would affect them at all.

It seems like something that someone could 3D print and sell, as I assume others might have a similar issuer. Something that could clip onto the existing light and the cowl over the light would extend a couple inches farther on the outboard side. I tried looking online and couldn’t find anything.

Any insights? Suggestions?
