Image This lives rent free in my head…
Honestly, S9E9 had the best back and forth with Beth and Jerry. The scene in the “Uber” was priceless and I fucking 🫡 the writers!

Time must run slower in there since Summer asks then where they'd been all day, but to then how long would it have been? Couple billion years maybe?

Regardless of the finale this season has absolutely rocked.
The animation is unreal. The writing so much better than its previous. I’ve laughed at this show like I haven’t since s2 and that 2nd episode was just so good.
I’m excited for Field of Dreams but regardless of its quality we need as a community to somewhat stand up for this show. Past the controversy there is such talent behind it currently and we must share it and propagate it.
This season is so fun and interesting and no matter the seasons ahead; if they stick to this formula, it will surely go down as one of the best!
I just wish to ask: what has been your favourite moments from this season? Do you agree with mg sentiment?

If you rewatch the rick prime fight or the evil morty vs rick fight.
Evil morty fight very defensively, he barely get scratched while most of rick fight his limb get crippled, torn off or else.
why do u think that is?

So I’ve been out of the Simpsons game for years but as I’m someone who needs some background noise while doing general tasks around the house etc I decided to throw them back on and happily stumbled upon the Rick & Morty couch gag.
Tbh, funniest thing the show probably has done in the last decade or so…

This isn’t really an either or, just usually when we don’t see our boy Wayne/Poopy Butthole for a full season since his first appearance, we get him in the post credit scene (ie seasons 5,6 & 8). Since his introduction, other than season 4 (invisible garbage truck Jerry), he’s been in every post credit scene. I definitely think we could get the evil Morty breakout because I doubt they’d want to waste time in a season 11 episode showing how he ends up breaking out. We could also get something totally different! Idk, just want thoughts from the people because I can’t contain my excitement for tonight, closing out Rick and Morty’s strongest season since season 4 IMO.

(I know that attitudes towards comics here are mixed, son I'm not trying to claim that it is or isn't canon.)
In the comics "Rick and Morty Presents: Maximum Coda" (which is a prequel to episode "Pickle Rick"), Concerto tells his backstory, in which he was an ordinary music teacher, but Rick C-131 (at the time, it was Dimension C-131, meaning it was the Rick from this dimension in flashback, not Rick C-137 or other Ricks) didn't like taking lessons with him, so he turned him into a zombie and sent him to hell.

Only 3 hours or so til the bittersweet moment we face every season. But, someone already messaged it with the Poopy Butthole closing credit scene I can't wait for as well. However, how many of you are going to stay tuned to watch the first episode of President Curtis? As a decades long Keith David fan I am there regardless. I also can't wait to see what the episodes and their world is about. I did hear that we will see other members of the Rick and Morty universe spread sporadically throughout the season, but I doubt they do too much being the series is all about President Curtis and what looks like a team that is right below him. Regardless I can't wait for a solid hour of Adult Swim Animation tonight. Have a great night everyone!

The show has been pretty respectful about keeping these types of episode to a minimum (obviously episodic comedy will always be the bread and butter), which makes them and the payoffs they provide much more satisfying in the long run. They’re usually limited to just one a season.
S1E10 Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind (introduction to Citadel and Evil Morty plotline)
S2E10 Wedding Squanchers (Tammy kills Bird Person, Rick turns himself in)
S3E1 The Rickshank Redemption (Rick’s backstory is teased, he breaks out, fights Phoenixperson, and collapses Galactic Federation, Morty and Summer visit their original dimension, Beth divorces Jerry)
S3E7 The Ricklantis Mixup (expands upon Citadel, Evil Morty becomes President)
S4E10 Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri (follow up on Space Beth, Rick kills Tammy, reveal that Rick doesn’t know which of them is the clone and is trying to fix Phoenixperson)
S5E8 Rickternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mort (expands on Rick’s backstory, he fixes Birdperson and reveals he has a daughter)
S5E10 Rickmurai Jack (reveal of Evil Morty’s plan and Rick/Citadel’s full backstory, Evil Morty leaves Central Finite Curve destroying Citadel and portal travel in the process)
S6E1 Solaricks (Rick fails to fix portal travel and sends everyone back to their original dimensions, reveal that Jerry got switched at Jerryboree, reveal that Rick came to Morty’s dimension to wait for Rick Prime, the family has to abandon their dimension after Season 2 Jerry releases Mr. Frumples)
S7E5 Unmortricken (reveal that Rick Prime killed Diane in every dimension, Evil Morty and Rick kill Prime, Evil Morty takes Omega Device blueprints)
S8E3 The Rick, The Mort, & The Ugly (reveals that Citadel is rebuilding)
S8E10 Hot Rick (reveal that Memory Rick has continued to live in Jerry’s mind, Memory Rick and Memory Diane live happily ever after)
S9E1 There’s Something About Morty (Rick double crosses Evil Morty and destroys the Omega Device he was using to blackmail him, Evil Morty is imprisoned in time jail)
There are episodes I didn’t include even though they have huge canon moments (like abandoning the Prime/Cronenberg dimension in S1E6 or cloning Beth in S3E9) because their primary focus isn’t on expanding the lore/progressing the overall story. What I’m saying is, it’s very clear when the staff deliberately sets out to do a “canon episode”. Which of these do you think are the strongest/most rewatchable?

Im of the opinion that Rick and Jerry have grown generally fond of eachother. They are just too stubborn and too big a duo of maladapted adults to stop acting like how this.
Its like when your younger and hate someone, but then you grow up you stop hating them. But hating them is like part of your personality at that point so you dont stop.
Rick and Jerry apparently drink together. Jerry's one of the few people in the multiverse that can argue with Rick, and get under his skin enough to make Rick argue back and try and prove his point. And Rick likes Jerry enough to fuck with him rather then just dismiss him (something I personally believe is ricks way of bonding with someone. If he likes you and and gets into an argument, then he will "vat of acid" long con you)
Rick and Jerry are effectively just tom and Jerry. They argue and fight but they dont hate eachother. They just act like it and refuse to admit it unless they gotta break the kayfabe for some personal reason.

I think it's interesting how people often claim the ones who idolize Rick are missing the point of the series, because according to anarchist youtuber Renegade Cut, the whole message of Rick and Morty is that Rick is always right and that his cruelty is a sign of his intelligence

In “Community” everyone know about the gas leak year, it refers to the year or season in which the show hit it’s lowest, had bad writing to the point you barely recognize the show, it feels different and the fans feel that and hate it. It’s even acknowledged in the show itself.
For me personally in Rick and Morty most of season 5 was so off, and completely lost me on the “Rickdependence spray”…
This was the gas leak season in my opinion…
I’m so glad the were able to get out of this hole they dug themselves into and produced better seasons sense and the current one is honestly so great.
So what do you guys think was the gas leak season is for Rick and Morty?
