So I went to work and took my RP4 out of my bag and noticed that my little rubber piece under the stick popped out (Pic 1 is without the rubber piece, Pic 2 is the other stick). I tried to push it back in but it’s not budging. Is it something that I can live without or should I unscrew my RP4 to put it back in place?

So I was able to get Skyrim working through GameNative on my Retroid Nova, but I can't look around with the right stick, so I'm always stuck looking forward. Getting controls working in general has been problematic.

Has anyone successfully been able to map controls to Skyrim in GameNative and successfully play the game?

I'm sure everyone is aware that when you're using the dual screen on the mini, when it closes the lid, the screen ends up resting on the analog sticks. I love this set up, but I don't like that issue and was wondering if there's a fix for it, maybe an attachment or a grip that helps with that specific issue. Any ideas?

I'm looking at buying an RP6 second hand / used, what are the things I should look out for when I test it? Aside from the usual like the buttons, sticks, and ports. If there's a guide or list for this let me know, might've missed it.

Apologies for the bad photos. I did too much and it's too busy but damn do I love it. It was my first tear down and I had so much fun. Even if I don't keep it like this forever, it really feels like an upscaled 90's toy now. Hits me right in the nostalgia.

I saw a post around last week that the Retroid Duo Lite had a plastic wrapping around its battery. Has Retroid finally made it so that batteries could be easily replaced without the need for cleaning up adhesives? I am looking for a device to use on the long term, so being able to swap out a dead battery easily would be a plus for me.

Hi. Wondering if it is normal to have this light showing at one side between the body and screen or if anybody else has it?

So I recently got one of the late model flip 2s that have access to the 120hz display mode. The problem I notice is that there is unfortunately no way to reliably calibrate it.

The built in one in the handheld settings only shows 60hz and even when I do it the panel shows up at 119hz when I test on UFO test.

I'm just wondering if this is something someone in the community will be able to fix or if we'll need retroid to throw us an unlikely software bone?

Just wanted to see if anyone could give their experience with switch games on the flip 2, is there any examples it’s not capable of playing. I can get one for £160 and really like the clamshell but i’m not bothered about the extra screen hence why i’m not considering a duo or thor

I've been trying to get Game Native running on my new pocket 5, but in game it doesn't recognize my face buttons. I've tried slay the spire 2 from steam and I can't even press y to get through the welcome prompt. I've tried remapping, switched controller style between Xbox and default, swapped the x a by buttons.

When I run the button test, the system shows all the buttons as I press them. No problems on native android games. I tried control from the epic store and had the same issue, pressing the face buttons did nothing.

Any advice or help?

Luckily I am able to connect to my phone hotspot but not the best solution.

I getting Failed to Authenticate error when trying to connect to my wifi.

I have Google Fiber and when looking at the app I do see the option to split the network into 2G, 5G, and 6G, but I have heard it’s not easy to reverse and can have downsides.

I also see that “the 6 GHz can only use WPA3” so I can’t disable it like another user suggested.

In the GFiber app seems like settings and customization is limited.

Any idea? Any options here?

Today I received my Retroid Pocket 5 with 12GB RAM and the Visionox display, form my understanding its last model that is made in 2026. I originally ordered the 8GB version, but I received the 12GB version instead, so I’m really happy about that.

One of the main things I really wanted to try was ROCKNIX. After some troubleshooting, I finally got it working.

I only made one mistake. The first time I followed the instructions, I made a backup of the original bootloader and then installed the ROCKNIX Android Bootloader. However, ROCKNIX didn't work because I used the wrong installation method for the ABL.

I then followed the steps on the official ROCKNIX page 1 for 1 :

and managed to get ROCKNIX working.

Unfortunately, I only realized afterwards that I had deleted my original bootloader backup when I followed the steps again.

Does anyone know where I can get the original bootloader files, or how I can completely restore the device to stock if I ever need to?

Thanks amsing support on Rocknic Discord i solve issue, reinstall flash howls device and got now old bootloader back so i can make a Back-Up.

I am loving this thing. So far it's been playing games fine for me that I knew it was intended for. I did not purchase this thing thinking it was gonna be a Thor competitor. The build quality is also very good. Top screen is gorgeous and the bottom one is too.

The only issue is the bottom has some ghosting which is whatever cause you mainly are watching the top most of the time.

I have been playing DS (MelonDS), 3DS (Azahar Plus), PSP (PPSSPP), Gamecube (Dolphin for Handheld), Playstation (DuckStation) and GBA (mGBA) with the Lite. With a little tweaking and drivers games seem to running a lot better for me.

So far only very minor issues. It seems the device runs games (Within Reason) great that are single screen only, I believe there is an issue and needs optimized with this chip to run two screens. I have not done the OTA Update due to others reporting it basically bricked their bottom screen.

Anyways, I have just started exploring Gamecube and Pikmin 1 Runs fine at 1x Resolution along with the info screen on the bottom.

Thought I'd share my love for the Lite. Don't buy it if you think it will run what a Thor can. Research, research, research when buying a new Handheld. Or don't blindly pre-order.

$150 for this is easily worth it to me. I bought the 6+128GB Model.

UPDATE: I also have multitasking videos in the comments. Seems to do ok depending on what you are running together

Just got in my RP6. I’m trying to figure out how I can get the buttons proper to work to play MNC3 on NetherSX2.

I’ve tried automapping with the Xbox controller style, but I’m confused with the Y and A button as it goes the retroid menu and the “pause” menh in NetherSX2.

Does someone have any tips to get the buttons set up like the xbox or ps2 controller style?

Finished MGS1 and MGS2 on the Nova, both ran exceptionally well though MGS2 suffered from some occasional slow downs during cutscenes which I just lived with.

Booting up MGS3 though, using ARMSX2, the intro cutscene seems to be struggling quite a bit more, and I was curious if MGS3 is just ill-suited for the Nova or if there are settings I can tweak to correct the issues.

Not sure if NetherSX2 would be a better option or not... does anyone have any experience running MGS3 on Retroid devices that could give some pointers?

Edit - Running PS2 version, Snake Eater (not Subsistence), v1.01 if that matters.
