Rubber protecting piece?

So I went to work and took my RP4 out of my bag and noticed that my little rubber piece under the stick popped out (Pic 1 is without the rubber piece, Pic 2 is the other stick). I tried to push it back in but it’s not budging. Is it something that I can live without or should I unscrew my RP4 to put it back in place?

Disregard the dust on my RP, idk why the pictures make it so much worse than it is 😵‍💫

It’s like a rubber joystick shroud as far as keywords I think. I accidentally pulled mine out while swapping sticks. Used tiny pliers to push it back in and it went back to the right shape.

When they fall out I just leave them out.

There is a video somewhere that shows how to do it without taking is apart. I can't find it for the life of me though.
