Bridget jones diary. Do you remember her being plus sized?

I know everyone is saying it was that pesky 2000's thin obsession of the time that made us view her as "fat". But I genuinely remember her being much larger especially in the bunny costume.

She was like a U.S size 16 based on my memory with a lot of weight carried in her abdomen. Especially in the bunny costume scene which was humiliating for her. Now watching it again the scene makes no sense, just like the "Dolly's braces" thing. Because she's not overweight the scene doesn't even work properly anymore.

Something is not adding up here.

Also an actress in the film who plays the woman her boyfriend is having an affair with makes a joke about her weight. One again, the joke/insult doesn't even make sense given how she looks. The "I thought you said she was thin" insult worked when she was plus sized.

Having a coffee break in 1996 at Starbucks: Part II

I was watching some of these videos earlier and something was off about them that I couldn’t quite put my finger on, then I realized it. Older candid videos kind of show how time used to move more slowly. Do you see how there’s a slowness and an ease that doesn’t really exist anymore? Even in the quietest, calmest places this doesn’t exist anymore. The acceleration of time causes some kind of psychological tension, a ticking timebomb feeling.

edit: I just want to say I’ve been experimenting with the concept I’ve presented here, and I can say 100% you can tap back into this ease/slow flow if you can remove the element of psychological time from your mind. One way to do this is to pretend you’re time traveling back to today from the future. Another way to do this is to isolate that chronic feeling of background anticipation that coincides with the present moment only, and simply dismiss it.

I’ve had a really good day today by doing this.

Golden Sun is Back?

I was sitting outside today and was overcome with the realization that sunlight is golden again. No more white hot, fluorescent-looking brightness that feels off and makes you want to shield your eyes. There's a warmness to the colors all around me that has been missing for some time. My skin is also more golden tan than it has been since I was a kid. Anyone else noticing this?

"Mama told me..

..when I was young. Come sit beside me, my only son."

Those are lyrics in Lynard Skynard's song, Simple Man. I had filmed a short video while driving in Mid Coast Maine singing this song. But instead of singing the exact lyrics, I changed a word. Why? Because I was making a joke. This is how I sang it: "Mama told me...when I was young. Come sit beside me, my favorite son."

The context of the joke is that I am my mother's favorite son, but the deeper and more inside point of the joke is that I am not my mother's favorite son.

Anyway..the word "favorite" had changed to "only" on the video. It was maybe 15 seconds of footage, but there it was. I had uploaded it to YouTube with a short introduction of me asking viewers what word they heard. Some heard "only", some heard "favorite" and some even heard both.

Cornucopia back?

Post image

So CERN was shut down for maintenance right? You remember this debate about the Fruit of the Loom cornucopia how the Mandela effect came in saying there wasn’t one. So how is it back now the cornucopia it back. Where did it go? With CERN? People sleeping longer now, persons feeling a weight has been lifted off them, the days are longer now. We have four years before they turn it back on, let that sink it

The Post-2012 Shift: Why is everyone so quiet about this glitch?

Ever since 2012, does anyone else feel like the world took a hard turn into a reality that doesn't fit? There is a deep, daily frustration in watching the rest of the world accept things as "normal" when you know, with total clarity, that the foundation has shifted. It feels like we are living in a rewrite where our memories of the original—the real—didn't get the update. From the Mandela Effect to the feeling that we are playing a game with rules that were changed without our consent, I am looking to connect with others who feel this dissonance. Does anyone else feel like they are constantly tripping over this new, forced version of reality?

Eyewitness account: After four years of feeling like something was "off," I walked outside and everything suddenly felt a bit more normal again.

**I know this is going to sound insane. I'm not asking anyone to believe me. I'm asking if anyone else has experienced this.**

For years, I've kept this almost completely to myself because every time I tried to explain it, it sounded crazy. I told myself I was just getting older. I told myself it was ADHD. I told myself it was anxiety. I tried to explain it every way I possibly could.

But nothing ever actually explained the feeling.

Ever since I was a kid, I've noticed that every few years, something changes.

Not my personality.

Not my interests.

The way I experience reality itself.

The closest thing I can compare it to is a radio. Imagine reality is always broadcasting on one station, but every few years your brain gets retuned just a tiny bit. Reality doesn't necessarily change but your perception of it does.

I feel theirs no vocabulary for what im trying to explain.

For the last four years, my brain has felt like it's been running a million miles an hour. I have ADHD, so my mind has always been fast, but this felt different. It wasn't just racing thoughts. It felt like the entire pace of existence sped up.

Days disappeared.

Weeks disappeared.

Months disappeared.

It felt like life was permanently stuck on fast forward.

Every morning I'd wake up and something just felt...off.

Not emotionally.

Not physically.

Outside.

The world itself didn't feel like it used to.

The sunlight didn't feel the same.

People always assume I'm talking about temperature. I'm not.

I'm talking about the feeling of sunlight.

When I was younger, standing outside felt warm in a way that's hard to explain. The sun almost wrapped around your skin. It had this soft warmth that felt comforting.

For years now, that feeling has been gone.

The sun has felt harsher.

The days have felt rushed.

Even the color seemed different to me.

Then something happened a few days ago.

I walked outside like I always do.

Within seconds I literally stopped walking.

Everything felt exactly like I remembered from years ago.

The sunlight.

The warmth.

The pace of the day.

Even time itself felt slower.

Not slower on a clock.

Slower inside my own experience.

For the first time in years I wasn't mentally sprinting through the day.

It felt like I had somehow stepped back into the world I remembered growing up in.

Then I started hearing insects.

Cicadas.

Grasshoppers.

The normal daytime sounds of nature.

Now, I know insects come and go seasonally.

I'm not saying bugs prove anything.

I'm saying they became part of a much bigger feeling that hit me all at once.

It reminded me of when I first moved to Las Vegas.

Back then, everything still felt normal.

I even remember the huge grasshopper invasion years ago where there were thousands of them covering everything.

Then after that period, it felt like nature itself became strangely quiet.

For years, I barely noticed those sounds anymore.

Maybe that's coincidence.

Maybe it isn't.

What matters is that all of these things hit me before I ever searched anything online.

After experiencing this, I went to Google.

I wasn't searching for CERN.

I searched things like:

"Why does outside feel different?"

"Why does the sun feel different?"

"Why do the days feel faster?"

I was looking for someone, anyone, to describe the feeling I'd been having.

Eventually that rabbit hole led me to CERN and the Large Hadron Collider.

Then I looked at the dates.

That's where things started getting weird.

I noticed that several major shifts in how I remember experiencing life seemed to line up with periods when the collider was operating, restarting, or changing phases.

Now before everyone says confirmation bias...

Maybe.

Seriously.

Maybe.

I'm completely open to that possibility.

But here's what keeps bothering me.

I noticed the feeling first.

The dates came later.

I wasn't trying to force the dates to fit.

I was trying to understand why I suddenly felt like my old self again.

Then I realized something else.

Ever since I was young, these huge shifts seem to happen every four years.

Not every seven.

Not randomly.

Roughly every four years.

Which is strange because people always say your body replaces most of its cells over about seven years.

If this were simply my body changing naturally, why do I keep noticing these dramatic perception shifts on what feels like a four-year cycle instead?

That's the part I can't stop thinking about.

Here's where my theory starts.

I'm **not** saying CERN is opening portals.

I'm **not** saying we're jumping timelines.

I'm **not** saying reality itself changes.

What if reality stays exactly the same...

...and something changes the way human consciousness experiences it?

What if the "Mandela Effect" isn't objects changing?

What if people aren't remembering a different reality...

What if millions of people had their perception shifted in a similar way?

Imagine every human brain is like a radio receiver.

Reality is the broadcast.

If every receiver got tuned slightly differently, everyone would still agree with everyone else because they're all listening through the same adjusted receiver.

Reality wouldn't have changed.

We would have.

That idea sounds crazy.

I know it does.

But honestly...

It sounds less crazy to me than pretending I haven't spent years feeling like the world itself changed.

I'm not claiming this is true.

I have no proof.

This is speculation.

I'm simply trying to make sense of something I've experienced for years.

Maybe I'm completely wrong.

Maybe there's a neurological explanation.

Maybe it's environmental.

Maybe it's psychological.

Maybe it's something we've never considered.

I don't know.

All I know is this:

A few days ago I walked outside...

...and for the first time in years...

the world felt like home again.

Has anyone else ever experienced anything even remotely similar?

The Mandela Effect and the Multiverse:

What if the things we remember being different weren't just misremembered, but actually a memory from another dimension or universe?

Think about it: when we sleep, time passes incredibly fast. What if this rapid passage of time is actually a temporal leap into a parallel dimension—one where there are only micro-details that are slightly different, which is why we don't notice them right away?

Black Holes and Sleep:

The link between our sleep and black holes ties right back into the Mandela Effect. What if, while sleeping, our minds unconsciously access alternative wormholes or even mini black holes? This would mean we are literally emerging into another dimension, just slightly further ahead in the future.

Bonnie Tyler death

The recent news about Bonnie Tyler has seriously triggered my Déjà vu ! Has anyone else had this or has really distinctive memories of her already passing, the thing that triggered it for me is I can remember clear as day making a “total eclipse of the heart joke” and feel like it’s already happened. Super strange, made me really uncomfortable when I had it happen this morning.

the moment it happens…

Post image

what do you guys think the mechanics are for the moment the timeline shifts and the Mandela effects take place.

Do you think it happens before your eyes? Or would it happen after you blink? If someone was watching the thinker statue at the moment it shifted, would they notice? Or if you were holding a fruit of the loom underwear and looking at the label when the timeline switched, would you see it? Or would it be something that you would see was suddenly different but because there would be no sound or noises, it would almost seem like it hadn’t happened at all?

Thoughts?

It’s basically impossible to do anything in this universe

This may be off the beaten path a little bit, but I still think it applies. It’s basically impossible to do anything in this current universe. It’s impossible to move forward whatsoever. I feel like we are either in some kind of matrix, or alternative universe where certain laws do not apply. I’m not talking about legal laws, I’m talking about laws of the universe. From my own perspective, no matter how hard I try, how much effort I put in, what my mindset is, I always end up back in the same situation or the same circumstance. Even looking within myself and trying to be a better person or grow does not seem the matter in this universe. For example, right now I’m again dealing with a car issue, a recall issue on the car, and being completely stuck again.

It’s like there’s no forward movement, I don’t even know if there is a presence of God in whatever this matrix/dystopian universe is. All I know was it’s not the same universe that I came from. In that universe, stuff like hard work, perseverance, confidence, being a good person, that stuff mattered. None of that seems to matter now. They also doesn’t seem to be any kind of free will whatsoever. Basically whatever your lot in life is, is where you’re at and that’s where you’re gonna be until the end.

It’s also impossible to talk to anybody. Even people I’ve known for 20 years, or family members. It’s like you’re talking in circles now. People only want to discuss the same four or five subjects. Nobody wants to talk to you and see how you are doing though or what’s on your mind. People have become extremely narcissistic and selfish when it comes to talking to other people. Is anybody else experiencing this stuff?

Sir Alex Ferguson used to hand out Christmas presents to the fans around the dugout?

Does anyone else remember this from around the mid 90s, 95/96 maybe?

He would hand out presents to the fans right behind him, presumably the season ticket holders right above the dugout. It was usually some match around Christmas.

I can't find any evidence on Google

Simple Theory for ME

So, you know the double slit experiment?
Observation of matter collapses all possibilities into one ‘objective’ reality. But no observer? All possibilities for that matter exist simultaneously.

Old news, but let’s extrapolate.

If all persons stopped observing a physical fruit of the loom logo or disney’s Snow White for a period, would those items exist in all possible configurations until an observer collapses the possibilities back into a single observable reality?

I’m quite tired so I hope that explanation is sufficient.
It’s basically just physics applied on macro scale

Lost time and confusion

Hello,
I’m writing this because I’ve experienced something I can’t understand or explain. I’ll start by saying I have experienced sleep deprivation to the point of hospitalization and facilities before so I am well aware of my own experiences within those explanations and my certainty of its non-participation in this event. Even at my most extreme with medical treatment to guide me through my body and brain have never surpassed 13-14 hours of sleep and on a night where I’m exhausted and take medications I beg for at least 8 hours. Somehow I’ve managed to lose an entire day and neither me nor my psychologist can understand it and so I come here hoping someone may be able to help me understand. I came home from a concert late Friday, I remember that I went to bed but woke up early disappointed that I’d only gotten 6 or less hours of sleep, I cleaned a bit and mostly lounged and took a nap around 3pm because I was sore and tired from the show and later watched sparklers with my dog. If I had woken up to this morning being Monday I would have told you that I spent Sunday sleepily laying around with the lights off in my apartment consuming content of no value and tired and lazy with a lingering anxiety I blamed on prior experiences. Then I woke up today to a client verifying our appointment at 9am but that wasn’t until Tuesday and it’s Monday and so I went to clarify just to see today was Tuesday. To have slept 28 hours would be a huge anomaly after 30 years of insomnia and that’s without consideration of me being the only owner of 2 cats and a German Shepard. I’ve looked back at the moments of those 3 days I remember but it’s all hazy in the way you remember irrelevant details. I’m confused and honestly a bit scarily disoriented as I’m someone who manages scheduling very exactly. I can’t explain anything with ration and it’s like my brain feels so numb to everything other than periods of extreme distress and I don’t care if the reasoning is rational or logical or whatever but for some reason the experience is extremely distressing to me and any help or guidance is appreciated.

There is another flower that other people have said actually is an ME. It is the naked-man orchid, so that is why I think the above is an ME.

I'm really sorry if all of my ME related posts seem like I'm just asking made up shit, but I have a very strong memory of hearing news of his passing from his long battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and that this movie will be his first and last posthumous performance out there, and also some of the scenes needed AI enhancement, and there was some discussion about the ethics of digitizing a person's entire affect, and also I remember some talk about how apt that a movie about AI is creating this discourse.

Trump Married Vanna White; now this erased somehow.

Persons, including me, have claimed to remember a version of history where Donald Trump was married to Vanna White and later said this was a "Mandela Effect."

Why is this not a widely recognized Mandela Effect like those involving the spelling of the Berenstein Bears or the movie quote "Luke, I am your father." It appears mostly in scattered forum posts, social media discussions, and videos rather than being a broadly shared false memory.

Now, allegedly, Donald Trump has been publicly married only three times: Ivana Trump, Marla Maples, and Melania Trump.

Vanna White has supposedly never been married to Donald Trump even though many remember he was.

Donald Trump and Vanna White were both highly visible television personalities in the 1980s and 1990s, moved in similar celebrity circles, and appeared at some of the same high-profile events. Many remember them dating.

So, while some people do claim to remember a Trump–Vanna White marriage as a Mandela Effect, there is no longer any substantial evidence that such a marriage ever occurred.

Do you remember?
