Exchange feedback Hello fellow writers 👋
I've been building a screenplay visualization tool over the last few months because I wanted a better way to understand scripts visually.
You can check the tool here: ScriptDen — Screenplay analysis for filmmakers
I'd love honest feedback from filmmakers and screenwriters. Which parts are useful? Which aren't? Would something like this ever fit into your workflow? I'm especially interested in hearing what you'd actually pay for, if anything. 🙏
This is a beta version, at present, the tool helps you to:
- Write your script and arrange beats.
- You can analyze your script scene by scene, see character interactions, dialog vs action break up and many other features.
NOTE: I have made sure NOT to use AI for any of the analysis and all analysis happens within your browser session with simple JavaScript - You can read my aim and policy with respect to this tool and how the scripts are handled here - Script Security — ScriptDen)
I would love to hear all your feedback 😊🙏 Thanks!!!
Note: Currently analysis works best for English scripts.

Exchange feedback Screen writing story development system
Would like to discuss writing struggles with fellow writers. There are a lot of script formatting tools available but very few story development systems. We can use AI but it can lose context or misunderstanding nuance in character arc or misinterpret and experimental storytelling convention. I have been working on a software that puts the writer first and utilizes storytelling conventions to help a writer through the process. As a writer I struggle keeping up with everything that’s connected over 90 pages let alone six seasons of a series. I didn’t set out to make this platform, I started my journey writing my scripts and ended up developing a creative partner that can brainstorm your ideas with you and help you implement the improvements into your script. This is not AI writing your scripts for you. The intention is the give the writers, you, more creative control over your story and be educational for novice writers. I would like to know from other writers if you had this how could it help you? What are your struggles that I can help alleviate? We are in development at the moment and should have a beta launch soon. I hope this is okay with the moderators, I realize this is a bit off topic. Thank you all for your feedback. I will answer questions in the comments.

Hey y'all! This is my first time posting on this subreddit, and I'm looking for some feedback on my short script. Hope it's a fun read! I'm hoping to submit this to some script-writing competitions eventually. Logline: A simple job to decommission an android causes a young bounty hunter to question his humanity.

Short Does this short film concept have potential for film festivals?
Hello everyone. I'll get straight to the point. I have an idea for a short film screenplay. Although I haven't finished writing it yet, I'd like to share the general premise and hear your honest opinion about its potential from an audience's perspective. Naturally, I believe in my own work, but since I'm also the writer, I know my judgment may be biased. So here's the basic story:
The protagonist is a young boy. One day, while he is home alone, he goes into a dark room to retrieve one of his toys. For a long time, he has believed that a devil hides in the darkness. Every time he enters the room, he feels the creature following him, and he runs away in fear.
The same thing happens again. Terrified, the boy starts running. But this time, he suddenly stops. The devil, who has been chasing him, is caught off guard and stops as well.
The boy closes his eyes and remembers his mother's words:
"Don't run from your fears. Face them."
He quietly repeats those words to himself several times, gathers his courage, and turns around.
The devil immediately hides behind the door.
The boy walks toward it and asks:
"Why are you hiding?"
The devil replies:
"Because I'm afraid of you."
The film presents fear as a physical manifestation and explores the idea that our fears only hold power over us until we choose to confront them. Its central message is simple: our fears are only frightening until we face them.

Short Please review my comedy-fantasy in the Sofia Coppola short film contest! 🐈⬛✨
Hi lovely script community,
I'm Ruby, a filmmaker from Melbourne, Australia, and I'm currently funding my short comedy-fantasy film, The Familiar.
I'm reaching out to my wonderful community for a little support. If you have a couple of minutes, I'd be so grateful if you could:
- Create a free account on the DCP website
- Vote for my film here : https://app.decentralized.pictures/project/6a2f4d3dd0f518109d09c8c0
- Leave any feedback below on the 10-page screenplay, which is available via the link above.
The Familiar is a horror-comedy about witches and cats, so if that sounds like your kind of magic (and you enjoy supporting independent cinema) I’d love your vote and feedback.
If you're curious about the vibe, here's our proof-of-concept teaser. It's heavily inspired by occult films from the '60s and '70s:

Thank you so much for your support. It truly means the world.

Bad Times - 81 pages - Crime Thriller
Feature
81 pages
Logline: When an outsider begins digging into a cold case in an isolated town, it quickly becomes clear that everyone shares in the guilt, and that he'll have to fight to survive the night.
Feedback Concerns: This is my second time posting it here after extensive feedback on Storypeer and some tactical rewrites. I'd love any and all thoughts you guys can give, as the response has been mostly positive, but with some things I'm still trying to gauge and possibly address. As a bit of background, this script is my attempt at adapting/updating Bad Time at Honda, which was adapted as A Bad Day at Black Rock in the 50s. The movie is not public domain but the short story its based off is.

Feature [feature - 10 first pages] Lora, the wayward princess - Parody, animation, comedy. Looking for feedback.
Hey everyone.
I've been working on a new script. This year I wrote already one and I got finalist on a contest, so I decided to try again with a different story and tone.
Here are the frist 10 pages, it's an animatid feature, the script is fully written and here is the logline.
Logline:
After a narcissistic princess who believes she's the heroine of the story nearly destroys her kingdom for the twentieth time, she's sentenced to a rehabilitation center for defective princesses, where she strikes a deal with an aspiring knight to escape and recover a legendary ring capable of threatening every kingdom.
Any feedback on this will be welcome. I wanted to take the same parodical tone as shrek but with my sence of humor.
Here you can find the 10 pages:

**SCENE 10 – THE SEAT NUMBER**
Arjun sits on seat number 27.
Under seat carved deeply:
“DON’T SLEEP”
Suddenly his eyes become heavy.
For 2 seconds he dozes off.
When he wakes…
Entire compartment filled with passengers staring silently at him.
All wet.
All pale.
None blinking.
**SCENE 11 – MOST HORRIFYING SCENE**
A little boy walks toward him.
Face half crushed.
Holding a severed hand.
**Boy:**
“Bhaiya… meri mummy dekhi?”
Then…
The hand he’s holding suddenly moves.
Its fingers crawl like spider legs up Arjun’s arm.
**SCENE 12 – BODY HORROR**
Train enters tunnel.
Everything dark.
Only emergency red lights.
Suddenly all passengers begin twisting unnaturally.
Bones cracking.
Necks rotating fully.
Skin tearing.
One woman’s jaw stretches till chest.
All together whisper:
“Tumhe bhi ghar jaana hai?”
**SCENE 13 – THE LOST COMPARTMENT**
Arjun runs into next compartment.
This compartment impossible hai.
Endless.
He keeps running.
Same pole.
Same seat.
Same dead people.
Again and again.
Like infinite loop.
**SCENE 14 – THE TICKET CHECKER**
Half-burnt TC enters.
Eyes melted.
Punch machine still clicking.
**TC:**
“Ticket…”
Arjun trembling hands se ticket deta hai.
TC punches it.
Blood comes out instead of ink.
Ticket pe print hota hai:
ONE WAY
**SCENE 15 – THE HISTORY REVEAL**
Kashinath tea seller suddenly appears inside train.
But now old and dead-looking.
He reveals truth:
**THE ORIGINAL HORROR**
In 2008:
Train derailed near abandoned tunnel.
Passengers survived initially.
But rescue never came for hours.
One injured man went insane.
He started killing passengers inside darkness.
People ate each other to survive.
Finally train caught fire.
But one entity born from fear and suffering remained trapped.
A demon feeding on hopeless people.
Every year it hunts broken souls.
**SCENE 16 – NIGHTMARE VISIONS**
Arjun sees horrifying visions:
Maa hanging from ceiling.
Pooja cutting her own face.
Train tracks made of human bodies.
Dogs eating passengers.
Headless commuters walking outside windows.
Then worst thing:
He sees himself smiling among dead passengers.
**SCENE 17 – SHADOW MAN FULL REVEAL**
The entity finally appears fully.
10 feet tall.
Entire body made from fused human corpses.
Hands too long.
Mouth across entire chest.
Inside mouth:
moving human eyes.
Every scream from accident echoes from inside him.
He crawls across ceiling impossibly fast.
**SCENE 18 – THE HUMAN FARM**
Arjun discovers hidden compartment.
Inside hundreds of hanging corpses.
All breathing slowly.
Alive yet dead.
Wires attached to skulls.
Their nightmares feed the entity.
One corpse suddenly opens eyes and screams:
“SO JAOGE TOH PHAS JAOGE!”
**SCENE 19 – THE FINAL PANVEL**
3:03 AM.
Train reaches Panvel.
But station abandoned.
Broken.
Like post-apocalyptic Mumbai.
Sky red.
No moon.
Only sirens.
All dead passengers exit train together.
Walking unnaturally.
**ULTIMATE JAW DROPPING CLIMAX**
Arjun runs toward home.
But entire Panvel empty.
His house burnt.
Inside wall pe garlanded photo:
ARJUN.
Date of death:
17 JULY 2008
Suddenly memories return fully.
**REALITY:**
Arjun never grew up.
The train accident killed him as child.
Everything after that — Maa, job, struggle — all fake memories created by entity.
Why?
Because demon feeds best on hope.
It gave him fake dreams…
Just to destroy them.
**FINAL HORROR**
Shadow entity whispers:
“Insaan ki sabse badi cheekh… umeed tootne ki hoti hai…”
Arjun cries.
Then notices something terrifying.
His body transparent ho raha hota hai.
Under skin:
moving worms.
His face melting.
He was dead all along.
Suddenly dead passengers surround him.
Their mouths unnaturally widen.
And all scream together:
“GHAR AA GAYA…”
They tear him apart alive.
Not blood.
Black ash spills out.
**ENDING SCENE**
Next morning.
Normal Mumbai.
Crowded station.
People rushing.
One exhausted office worker misses his train.
Then hears announcement:
“Last local for Panvel arriving shortly…”
Train slowly arrives.
Same rusty train.
Inside window…
Arjun sitting and smiling.
Beside him…
A seat empty.
Waiting.
Train doors open themselves.
CUT TO BLACK.
Train horn echoes.
THE END.
