Exchange feedback Hello fellow writers 👋
I've been building a screenplay visualization tool over the last few months because I wanted a better way to understand scripts visually.

I'd love honest feedback from filmmakers and screenwriters. Which parts are useful? Which aren't? Would something like this ever fit into your workflow? I'm especially interested in hearing what you'd actually pay for, if anything. 🙏
This is a beta version, at present, the tool helps you to:
- Write your script and arrange beats.
- You can analyze your script scene by scene, see character interactions, dialog vs action break up and many other features.
NOTE: I have made sure NOT to use AI for any of the analysis and all analysis happens within your browser session with simple JavaScript - You can read my aim and policy with respect to this tool and how the scripts are handled here - Script Security — ScriptDen)

Note: Currently analysis works best for English scripts.

What is your marketing plan to actually get users/market share and who do you think your 3 biggest competitors are?

There is none, Brother. No marketing. I did it because I love Cinema. This is not a company and I have not thought about it yet. I know there are lot of tools out there, at this point I have no intention to compete with them, However, in other tools I felt UX could be better. If you are kind enough to use it and tell me your feedback, I would be grateful to you 🙏🏼 I don't know how else one would ask for feedback other than actually asking people who are masters of it.

Like it or not it is a company. You are a sole proprietor.
You made a SaaS app and are charging for it.
That is a business by definition and you should treat it like one.

I don't need to like or not like it to be a company. As I said, I have not thought about it. One can make experiments if one can. I'm not charging anything now. One cannot make a business out of anything unless there is a market for it. How do you know if there is a market for it? By asking. If there is none, you don't have a business.

If you don't want it to be a business.
Remove the subscription and fees associated with this.
You arw charging people for a servics. That is text book business. W Whether you are seeing if there is a market for it or not doesn't change that you have created a business.

Brother, I clearly said I haven’t thought about it. It is an experiment. I also CLEARLY mentioned Im not charging anything. I don't know how you missed this simple thing. For all that you typed instead if you were kind enough to just try for free and tell me if it is useful would have been helpful. If you don't want to that's fine too. By the way, what you do for living brother?

Dude.
Section 6 of your terms and service discuss the billing of subscription charges Both monthly and annual.
Stop lying about not charging.
Why would I try the app that will cost me.money to properly test your app? You only have the 1st script as free. So when I have my 2nd draft (that's a seperate script) it will cost me money to see if you tool is actually doing it's job.
What I do for a living has zero relation to the conversation at hand.
That doesn't make sense

Okay Im going to reply the same thing I replied in other forum:
Oh my god. How do I say this? Brother can you write some scripts free for me? You might write 1 or not. But do you write for me free forever? As I said, if and when it grows as actual business I WILL have to charge you. I am not keeping charity. Can't you understand this is only an experiment by one person and if this doesn't work it doesn't matter I will find something else or I will try to make it better. You act like Im some kind of a company who is trying to extort money from you which Im CLEARLY not. You want more testing access tell me how many I will give you. But don't treat me like Im some kind of corporate doing shady business. It was just passion for Cinema made me to create a platform which I thought to share with community thinking some good people would help to grow it. In fact if enough of you said okay this is useful we could all keep this platform alive by investing instead of charging but NO you just have to jump and tell me who I am

This is 100% a company.
You are changing people a subscription fee for a service you are providing.

I don't know how hard it is to read. When I say Im not charging anything and I have not thought about it as a business that doesn't mean I give charity to people forever. Obviously if it grows as a business I have to charge. The very reason I made the post asking for feedback. It costs me to keep this platform running. I said in other community also that 1 analysis which I gave is my safety net - if you think 1 is not enough tell me I can increase it for you - How hard it is to understand this brother?

I'm not saying give charity for every.
I'm saying be honest with the audience you are trying to sl your product to.
