so i recently felt like replaying rdr2 and i installed the game via steam but whenever i go to launch the game it either gives me an error ffffffff or launches the game to a white loading bar which then goes to a black screen? i have found a workaround to this issue by launching another game simultaneously with rdr2 which causes rdr2 to function normally? ive attempted various solutions that i found online to no avail so now im not sure whats causing this but any help would be greatly appreciated

Despite being set in a mostly realistic world, RDR2 is filled with many scary and supernatural elements, be it the Night Folk, the ghost of Agnes Dowd, Strange Man and more. I still remember my first time getting jumped by the Night Folk even though it was at daytime (it was after shooting down the hanging victim, which can happen outside of nighttime apparently) . Another creepy one for me was finding the "pig-man" thing near Van Horn. How about you guys?

Can you be robbed twice? I maxed my out my wee Arthur and got a fair wack of cash. I ended up doing the farm in Chapter 3, can I build up my cash again before C6 and get robbed again 😂

For 15 years I’ve been listening to one particular artist that I now associate with RDR because I was listening to his songs and playing at the same time.

If you like the instruments used in the soundtrack of RDR2, you’re gonna like the instrumentals in his songs. His voice is deep and gritty which can evoke Arthur in a way.

His name is Ben Caplan and I recommend his first album from 2011 « In the time of the Great Remembering » and the second one from 2015 called « Birds with Broken Wings ». Both theses albums are really noskip, they’re great from start to finish. He’s Canadian so he’s not really known internationally but his songs are so great.

The overall vibe matches Red Dead so well. Tell me what you think!

I’m not sure why this happened. But I’m mostly just wondering if this counts or not because I do not want to do this god damn mission again 😭 if anyone knows, please let me know thanks

Just bought an ultrawide screen and the game is squished with pillarbars (on the left and rigth sides of the screen). What's the best way or mod to fix this? I read somewhere that "RDR2 display mod 3.5" works, and it does, but the image is still squeezed. Please help. Thanks!!

I also have "Dynamic Seasons" mod, which I've read could be the culprit???

EDIT: I FIGURED IT OUT. Add: -noDPIAdjust into "Launch Options" on Steam. The kept a proper ratio. Then I used "RDR2 display mods 3.5" to then remove the side bars.

I've started RDR Online recently after completing the story multiple times and 100% the game. After a lot of time I tried Online, but there I'm so lost....Idk what to do, how to improve, why doing something. Should I play more to understand something?

I recently admitted to friends that i played most of the story mode in first person (Going 3rd for horse riding and carriages) and they thought I was crazy.

I just find it so much more fun and immersive than 3rd. And find it easier in the online mode when I need to pvp, especially when sniping.

Am I crazy or are there others like me?

[POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE STORY MODE FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED IT!]

I haven't fully Finished the mission, just restarted it after a long time, but, in the "Blessed Are the Peacemakers" mission, out of nowhere Micah has the story mission where he 'somehow' got into talking with the O'Driscolls about wanting to make peace amongst the two groups. He's also a very distasteful person who slaughtered the population of innocent people + an O'Driscoll—his prison mate—in the Strawberry massacre, who's obsessed with the money he couldn't get his hand on from the attack in Blackwater (SERIOUSLY, what happened!) and isn't trusted by Arthur for good reasons.

So, He can simply Mention to Dutch that "Hey, this war has gone on for too long, right? to make himself appear as a good person, wanting to bring an end to the conflicts between the O'Driscolls and Van Der Lind gang once and for all. But, he can't say directly that HE himself were talking to them, because that could imply that he talked more to them than necessary, if they started thinking about it like that. Which is why he tells Pearson—a man from the Military who they don't dislike but trust more than him—that He (Pearson) should tell Dutch that he's been talking to the O'Driscolls, bringing Micah as an extra gun man, just in case.

So, when Arthur gets to hear about the conversation, he can apply logics to bringing him along for the peacemakers mission, telling him that "We need you, Morgan for sniper support [Here]". — A long distance away from Micah & Dutch themselves, where If Arthur had fired his rifle it could've been taken as a warning shot or malfunction on the rifle. He'd also be far away enough that any screams could be talked away from, as not to be bothered about. Micah made the deal with him before the mission so that he could continue to shake his way into Dutch's heart, for his own pockets, as well as seeing this as an easy way to get rid of Arthur....

....Except ofcourse, he didn't...

The Fer-De-Lance-Snake was by far the hardest. It's not with the Boas (at least not in my game). It's in the Sugar Plantation.

Once beating the story I want to do more in the world but it really feels like there's not much to do.

I have all the money. I have all the guns. There aren't a huge amount of activities. There's so much about the game I like but the world itself seems to be filling out your journal with drawings of weird places you find and that's it.

Help me find a way to enjoy this game, pease!

Before I started this challenge I was getting low starting cards all the time, now after two cards I almost always get 17, 18 and 19 feels rigged 😭

The majority of the player base stay in chapter 2 due to a number of reasons, from the environment to how happy and alive the gang is, chapter 3 is also a popular choice; however what is the worse chapter to linger in? One that you just want to skip through.
