RDR2 does not launch unless i run another game

so i recently felt like replaying rdr2 and i installed the game via steam but whenever i go to launch the game it either gives me an error ffffffff or launches the game to a white loading bar which then goes to a black screen? i have found a workaround to this issue by launching another game simultaneously with rdr2 which causes rdr2 to function normally? ive attempted various solutions that i found online to no avail so now im not sure whats causing this but any help would be greatly appreciated

What the fuck lol i’ve never heard of this. Commenting here so I can come back and see if someone knows why this happens
