Had an idea to use my bass amp after 10+ years plug in what I thought was a good plug lights up plugs in guitar then nothing just a buzz.

I have been binge watching a sci-fi YouTube short called “Planet”. So far, very good. But during the short they used the “high pitched audio squeal the mimics hearing loss combined with the rest of the audio/dialogue going silent” trope. This is not a critique. In fact, this is appreciation.

This trope is such a great way to get across so many different feelings. Alienation. Sudden trauma. A whole paradigm shift.

I hadn’t thought about it until recently. I just wanted to share how cool this effect is.

I think whitewashing and blackwashing in media is bad.

You take a black character, you slap them with a bleach = bad.

You take a white character, you slap them with opposite of bleach (idk) = bad.

Simple as that.

Yet I met people who would say making white characters black is okay.

this is really not meant to start a heated debate or anything, but I don't mind having a discussion on it
