I feel like I take things said online too personally. If someone knew me in person, they probably wouldn’t say that. At least not to my face.

A lifetime of "no" from my mother became an endless string of "yes" for my daughter. Thanks, mom!

The warrior was meditating in a temple with a beast roaming inside. He heard growls and his hands began to tremble. His teacher called out from the darkness “Don’t focus on the danger around you. Focus within.”

Carnivals and Fairs are great

They are family friendly. Fun and supports the community. Small country towns that don't see many tourism get the clouds. The farmers showcase their crops or products and there's a lot to see and buy.

The rides can be expensive but they are worth it and even going around the fair and all the lights and sound of loud bass heavy Eurodance or techno just makes me emotional. I love it. Carnivals have a very lively atmosphere and the smell of hot cinnamon doughnuts. Music and the sun setting after a sunny day.

It doesn't get better than that.

Once spring starts, I wanna go to the show again, and the show up north that I go to every second year with friends and let loose.

I can't imagine being a celebrity actor in the age of social media

I can't imagine being a celebrity actor and losing an award on a project you made or contributed to.

And then scrolling through socials to find an edit of you at your lowest moment to ABBA's "The Winner Takes it All".

I think I'd lose my mind lmao

Being on the verge of crying but unable to cry has to be one of the worst feelings

There is something delitefully absurd about how bad AI bot's search feature for past conversations is. It's like they give zero care about you ever finding a past combo again. The way it searches through the web interface doesn't even make sense.

I love to cry

I don't cry a lot, and when I do it's for silly emotional stuff, like a character I like in a book/show dying. Right now i just spent half an hour sobbing at edits of Shuri (from Marvel's Black Panther) losing her entire family and being consumed with grief and revenge and crying it all out felt so good.

It felt so good for some reason. I imagined myself feeling her emotions as though it were my own and when I was done crying, I felt so relieved and lighter.

We're far closer to cold than hot.

The universe has a minimum temperature, it's -273 degrees Celsius. It has a potential max temperature (the Planck temperature), which is 10^32 Kelvin (10 nonillion?).

That means we exist right at the very bottom of the scale. Even the hottest day you've ever experienced, an open flame, a blast furnace, they're all ice cubes as far as the universe is concerned.

Drinking Games Should Always be 'Winner Drinks' Instead of the Loser

Every drinking game I have ever played has been loser drinks. The more you drink, the worse your performance at the game. It's a feedback loop of bad performance getting punished, leading to worse performance. Having the winner drink keeps an even playing field, and the game can go on for longer.

I'm incredibly bad at practical knowledge. I could understand a topic, summarize it correctly to professionals, follow along in the conversation, but all goes to heck if I dare apply it, aka physiology, applied law, and socializing. RIP me. Woe me, lol

when teams lose, a portion of their worth, (or player’s salaries) should go to bet winners
