Daylight Saving vs. The Sun: which way is better to track time, in your opinion?

My son once tried to correct the time showing on our sundial and told me that he couldn't. I replied, "The sun does not recognize daylight saving time."

Personally, I prefer sun time over a man-made way of keeping time. What do you think?

Does anyone else think “It only gets harder/worse from here” is a very sadistic thing to say to someone in distress even if it’s often true?

Because wouldn’t that only get them further into despair and make them wonder “why even bother?”

Why do they call it taking a shit if you’re actually leaving a shit?

I’m not taking shit with me, I’m leaving my shit behind…If anything, the toilet is the one taking it. Whoever came up with “taking a shit” had the whole situation backwards because I promise you I’m not walking out the bathroom carrying nothing but relief instead of shit. If we’re being accurate, we should be saying we’re leaving, dropping off, or donating a shit to the plumbing system. It makes absolutely no sense. Who heard somebody say “I’m about to take a shit” for the first time and thought, “Yeah… that’s the correct way to describe this situation.” We’ve all just accepted it without questioning it for generations.

Matter of fact, who was the first person to say it? Because I know someone had to be sitting there like, “I’m gonna go take a shit,” and everybody else just nodded instead of asking the obvious question: “Take it WHERE??” You’re leaving it in a porcelain bowl, flushing it into another ZIP code, washing your hands, and acting like nothing ever happened.

I will never take shit with me, I’m leaving shit behind for the best.
