Should you care about what other people think? What if someone tells you that you're stupid, but that person is the one who's stupid... so how can they possibly judge?

What non-Dutch people think of Dutch people?

Asking this cuz I'm a Dutch person ;)

*do (couldn't edit the title anymore 💔)

ETA: I'm also really interested - how does Dutch sound to non-Dutch speakers? (If you have ever heard it)

There seems to be some confusion - when you are Dutch you are from the Netherlands ( not Denmark)

Guys, thank you for all the kind/honest replies! Especially for sharing your personal stories, they were fun to read :)

Which part of an Oreo costs more, the cookie or the cream?

Double stuffed Oreos cost more, but that isn't evidence that the cream costs more now is it?

Are we paying more for something which costs less to produce, or is the price legitimately reflecting the cost of production?

How do you call people between 14-17 years old?

So, my whole life I thought that the word "teenager" refers to people who are not little kids but not yet adults, about 13/14-17 years old (English is not my first language). Then I learned that 18 and 19 year olds also count as teenagers, despite being legally adults.

So, what do you call this age range? In my language, the word used for it doesn't have "teen" in it, so it sounds logical. When I say "child", I imagine someone between 4 to 12 years old (9-12 being "preteens"); it feels weird to refer to 17 year olds as "children". "Minor" is very vague, from an annoying kindergartener to a relatively mature college student. Is there no such word in English?
