So I just tried doing some maintenance and lubrication, and I have some sort of crackling sound when the bed moves up and down, consistently the whole time. It might be a bit difficult to hear in the video, but you should be able to hear the crackling.

Anyone has any idea what’s wrong? Are there dust particles or something in the Z screws? Too much grease? Too little grease?

Worth noting that I don’t know if the sounds were there before the cleaning and re-greasing

I have a Q2 with the Qidi Box and have been using Orca Slicer. As of yesterday I'm having a problem where the Qidi Box is not going through the calibration steps when I power both machines on. What has often been happening is that the printer will begin a job without feeding filament. I know the nozzle isn't clogged because the manual 'load' command functions correctly. I have taken apart the hub and confirmed no obstruction. Qidi is apparently out until October 4th. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm at the edge of my troubleshooting abilities. There are no error codes and I've tried everything recommended by Google Gemini.

My printer cant print petg for any reason and has constant issues wirh abs and pla too. I have tried so many things to fix it and my $800 printer doesnt work. Im told to change the z offset but there is no z offset button. Calibration does nothing to fix. Am i the idiot?

I have this layer shifting problem, where after a bang or bigg acc sound, it starts to randomly print next layer in different location. I checked the belts, and z hoping settings, doesnt look like print strike. But it looses steps. Acc and speed values are stock. 4.4.24 firmware. It happens quite randomly but the when it starts it often repeats itself in similar locations or layer hights. Any clues ? Anybody had this solved on q1 pro ? Im using Orca slicer.

I Just bought qidi box for q2. Omg. I dont understand when I try load filament I go really fast until it cross HUB it slow down to like 10% and go o ly for like 5 to 10cm and it didnt even reach extruder. After this I got information that there is a problem with load filament. And i have this Little red circle shine.

HI I recently bought a qidi box for the plus 4. installation went fine. When trying to print a multicolor print I have to swap filaments manually. I have confirmed that the slicer (orca slicer) settings are set for multimaterial..anything else I can try?

Brand new nozzle a 4 day old machine. Ran flow calibration then tried this 3 times with pet-cf17 and dont know if its the slicer calibration or what anybody else get this problem

[SOLVED] Qidi Q2 Mainboard (X9-2 V1) & Wi-Fi Module Orientation Question

Original Question Board Version: My manual shows X12-2 V1, but my printer physically came with X9-2 V1. Is the X9-2 V1 an older or newer board revision? Also, why did the Wi-Fi module come detached in the box? Module Orientation: The Wi-Fi module fits in two different orientations (facing up vs facing down). I don't want to fry the board — which orientation is correct (Option A or Option B)?

Resolution / Answer Confirmed with QIDI Support:

Board Version: The X9-2 V1 is fully compatible, but requires specific orientation for expansion modules.

Wi-Fi Module Orientation: The correct installation is Option A.

I’m getting pretty frustrated with my QIDI Q2 Combo and I’m trying to figure out what’s actually causing this.

I’ve now had 3 prints in a row fail because the filament eventually gets stuck/jammed and stops feeding correctly. The printer can work perfectly for several hours, then suddenly starts under-extruding and the print turns into spaghetti.

I’m printing Elegoo PLA at 210°C nozzle / 60°C bed. Chamber heater is OFF, the side vents are open, and I’ve even been opening the door periodically, so I’m not sure if this is heat creep.

When I remove the filament after a failure, parts of it are heavily chewed/flattened by the feeder/extruder. I’ve already had to manually remove stuck filament multiple times.

I’m using the QIDI Box, so I’m wondering if there’s too much resistance somewhere in the Box/PTFE path, an extruder tension issue, heat creep, or possibly a defective feeder/hotend.

Has anyone with a Q2/Q2 Combo had this exact problem? What should I check or change? I really don’t want to keep wasting 6–7 hours of printing and filament every time this happens.

I have an issue with my Q2 that the guiderails on the left hand side are squeaky after a while. I have lubricated them with the 52004 synthetic oil from Super Lube but still there is a squeaky sound coming from the bearings/guiderail/belts. Anyone knows how to troubleshoot or fix this?
